Evenia Alcalá Boutique Hotel con encanto

I previously wrote a good review, before the hotel charged my credit card twice for the total amount of my stay. After writing with them multiple times and being assured that they would compensate my card, they did not. They deleted the entire written correspondence that we had had over booking.com.The final time I wrote them they did not even respond. I had to submit a chargeback at my bank to get my money back: over 600€. I'm surprised that a hotel that cares about their reputation would be so remiss.

While I was searching for hotels in another country on Expedia, this hotel appeared in the results, and I accidentally made a reservation. I couldn’t cancel it, and even though it said “Pay at the property,” the money was charged to my card without my permission. My request for a refund was also denied. Spain was a country I had always wanted to visit, but this hotel has completely ruined my impression of it. I don’t think I will ever visit in the future.

Hotel charged twice and I have yet to receive a refund in spite of sending emails every day, calling, and even going to the extent of opening a Spanish bank account to make it easier for them! Appalling customer service which is causing me much stress. Impossible to make a complaint with head office too.

Once you find out (gps was confusing), this is a beautiful boutique hotel that looks much like a hacienda with an inner courtyard. The rooms are nice and clean and air conditioned and the service is great. Being located in the historic center, the street can be noisy with late night partyers, but if you come to Alcala de Heneros, you should know to expect that. Spain goes to bed very late compared to us. Breakfast was ok, and it would be nice if they had shampoo in the bathrooms (rather than an all purpose shower gel). There is a public parking a few minutes away, so that was never an issue. All in all, we had a wonderful week there and would definitely recommend the place.

Lovely place in a street with only delivery cars or trucks. If you Ask a room not with a street view, cool Nice patio when it is sunny.... Could be noisy in summer Time if people are talking loud. Breakfast simple but very good People from the family hôtel, very nice and AT your service For those who like bars and tapas, there is a main street very close with all the bakeries and bars that you need,with some cheap Prices....

Quiet but has all, ventilation and daylighting via overhead window, very simple breakfast. Use the public parking in the castle.

I must say that this hotel deserves a very high praise. There are a few rooms but the place itself is astonishing. It's located next to the cathedral, the restaurant is unbelievable and as you go down the stairs a restaurant in a wine cellar setting unfolds. The rooms have a perfect balance between the old facilities and a new design to update it to recent times. A beautiful facility overall.

A smaller hotel near the cathedral and town center, within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Comfortable, well maintained, and clean, helpful staff. . A traditional Spanish style building with a central patio. Breakfast available downstairs. Free WiFi, which was important since the cell coverage in my room was spotty at best. We parked on a side street for a euro, although there is some kind of garage at the hotel. My only complaint was with the shower, it wasn't possible to open the door and get in without spraying water all over the floor. The room was ample with a good bed. The hotel might be difficult to find, although I was there with friends so I didn't have any problem. I'd recommend leaving the car parked and walking. I will definitely go back.
