Family of 5, booked through On the Beach.. allocated to ‘Garden’ upon arrival. We stayed last year in ‘Suites’ and both were identical family rooms. Plenty of space for us, a dividing door/curtain should you wish to use this.||I must admit, I really struggle with all the bad reviews in this place. Our children (and us) have had a fabulous holiday yet again.||Food - we have fussy kids and could always find something. Food is mainly fish based so if that’s your thing, great! It’s like any other all inclusive you will have experienced. ||We upgraded to the Gold All inclusive which was great, enjoying the premium brands and cocktails. Much nicer than the pre mixed drinks on silver. You can also use the gym unlimited and the pool at the spa should you wish. ||Sunbeds - plenty of them so do not get up early. If you want to buy inflatables for your little people the supermarket up the road sells them for a fraction of the price compared to the shop attached to the hotel. It’s less than a 5minute walk. ||Entertainment: We really enjoyed the shows put on every night and our kids loved the mini disco. No complaints from us. ||Negatives:|* This hotel has large groups of kids for sporting events stay for a a few nights. They completely take over, very boisterous around other children, will help themselves to any floats/inflatables you might have bought. They will also queue jump on the slides etc. They are did not appear respectful to others which was a great shame. When I say large groups, there are hundreds of them!!|* I personally wouldn’t trust the mini-club without your supervision. Our children wanted to go due to us having 3 days of pure rain but we found that they would be heading back towards us in the seating area before we collected them!! When I challenged this I was told that they wanted to leave !!?!! Very unsafe in my opinion, especially with swimming pools in close proximity. |* Compared to last year - One of the snack bars wasn’t open along with the van that served milkshakes and frozen coffees. Also you can’t get fizzy drinks yourself which is slightly annoying as you have to queue for these and sometimes the queues are long. Last year there were foam parties for the kids on the terrace along with activities in the evening such as bucking bronco and slides. We didn’t see any of that this time, I’m not sure if this is a cut back or whether we are slightly early in the summer season. ||That’s all from us. Absolutely amazing holiday, our kids will always remember the memories made. Enjoy!!

Pros |• 1 hour and 40 mins flight Birmingham to Girona |• Got through passports quickly at Girona |• Slushy included in all inclusive |• Magnums, twisters and cones included in all inclusive |• Basic rooms but clean |• Can hire a nice size towel for pool for 10 euro, save taking your own|• Snack bar is good. Burgers/nuggets/chips/salad|• Pools are lovely. One with big slides. One without. One with small slides |• Puddings with meals were lovely |• Showers are nice and powerful |• Small fridge in room |• Can book trips with TUI rep even if not booked with them|• Catarmaran boat trip is very good|• Marineland is a great day out. Booked online and got the free bus|• Beach /shops are 15 mins walk|• Baccy shop really close to the hotel|• 2 parks really close to the hotel |• Lidl 5 mins walk |• Market on a Tuesday 5 mins walk from hotel |||Cons|• Suitcases took ages to come through at Girona airport |• Was overcharged tourist tax at the hotel|• Bus transfer took over an hour and a half|• Wasn't told there was a sports event happening and first three days was full of very rude / loud teenagers |• Restaurant was very busy when we first arrived due to the swarm of rude teenagers. Lots of tables but very small serving areas, lots of q'ing and people pushing in|• Mini club the entertainment people watching over it rather chat than entertain / watch the kids. Kids come and go, I would be surprised if they knew how many / who was in there. Never had to sign anything. But daughter loved going. |• Mini club was the same daily. Colouring, manicure and sometimes 2 small bouncy castles |• Air conditioning is VERY noisy |• Tea not until 7pm|• Kids mini disco not until 9.15pm. And it's 4 songs with a lady doing the actions for kids to follow / same songs every night. |• Entertainment around 10pm for about half an hour. Some nights were good, others not so great |• Can hear everything from room above|• No kettle in room / can hire one|• I unfortunately wouldn't rate the food. Im not fussy but its the same daily. Not much choice and meat is very overcooked|• WiFi is rubbish |• Not allowed loungers around the kids pools. Have to sit in towels on the floor |• Beach isn't great |• Curtains don't fully block the light at the sides. So comes in the room early. Thankfully daughter slept till 10am most days, but woke me very early :-(

The rooms are nice but the ones at Olympic Palace were bigger and nicer. Pool is nice. Check in was smooth. My only complaint is that there was no cafe within the hotel for afternoons, you’d have to walk out to find something. Otherwise all was good

I took my 15 year old daughter, it said there was entertainment on when I ask the staff they do not know what is on. They said there would be a doughnut van and ice cream van. All shut you can get ice lollies at the bar if you are prepared to queue. The main pool bar closed early cos the guy had to go and work in the other pool bar, there is some sort of dance thing on, so I thought I have paid all inclusive I will go to the other pool bar and watch the people dance. No they would not let me I don't have the right wrist band but it I am booked all inclusive into the Olympic garden and if I go to my room I can watch it but I want to watch it by the pool. If they are going to have events on they should tell people before they book. The food is the same every day not nice. The only thing going for this place is the main pool it is such a shame they close the main pool bar so they can put their staff on the other pool bar for private events. Would I recommend this holtel to anyone NO

The rooms are very small and antiquated. Edit: on top of all of the issues we already had, in our last night the hot water in the building stopped working. I asked the front desk if they could help us and they told us that there was nothing they could do about it because it was 10pm. I asked several people in the hallway and nobody I spoke to had hot water in their room. This has now been the most troublesome hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I truly do not understand how poorly this place is run. We were traveling in a group of 8 and when we checked in, were told we could not dine together, because we had been assigned different dining rooms. When we asked if they could allow us to dine with each other since we were traveling together, the staff replied with “not my problem”. It was very disappointing that we paid for an all-inclusive resort expecting to vacation together, only for the hotel to isolate us from each other and refuse requests to accommodate us as a single unit. Additionally, I had an issue where a night security guard, Emilio, did not let someone in my group get upstairs despite them being a registered guest, and wearing a wristband for the resort. He stopped her at the lobby in the middle of the night and wouldn’t let her advance. She speaks little Spanish so could not understand what he was telling her. I had to have her put me on the phone with him to ask him to let her upstairs. His response was “you don’t tell me what to do”. After some back and forth, he eventually conceded that she was in fact a guest, and was allowed upstairs. Instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding, he faulted her for not telling him that she was a guest. I brought this concern up to the staff at the front desk and they were completely rude and condescending about it, telling me that Emilio is not joking with me, which made me feel threatened and unsafe. I would not recommend this hotel. Especially for non-Spanish speakers. I’m Latino, so I could communicate, but they were not very friendly to my Asian partner that tried her best to communicate in the little Spanish she’s learned.

The hotel is well located and has nice indoor pools. Wide variety at breakfast and meals. I recommend it.

Was here on a dancefestival and had a great experience. The location was good, walking distance to the beach and the food was alright.
