We were visiting Montreal this May and were really craving some momo, so we started looking for a Nepali restaurant. We searched and “Everest Momo” popped up at the top of the list — and we’re so glad it did!
We went there and had an amazing experience. The owners and staff were incredibly polite and friendly; they treated us like family. The moment we stepped in, the whole restaurant smelled like a home kitchen — that familiar aroma made us even hungrier and more excited to try their food.
We ordered momo, thukpa, khaja set, chowmein, and laphing — everything was so fresh, tasty, and felt like a comforting home-cooked meal. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to try the Nepali Thakali Khana set this time, but we’ll definitely be back for that soon!
While returning to Toronto, we even brought a khaja set with us, and the owner uncle kindly gave us ras malai for dessert — such a sweet gesture! We enjoyed the khaja set during a stop in the beautiful small town of Gananoque.
It was such a memorable trip for us, and the delicious food made it even better. Highly recommend Everest Momo if you’re craving authentic Nepali food in Montreal!
