Managed by the national trust and operated by volunteers, a nice relaxing hideaway tonvisit on weekends. There is an entry fee to support upkeep and the grounds and buildings are well kept. Best time to go is spring. $17/adult or a family pass for $40. You can spend an hour or two there and a converted squash court has an art gallery that hosts local artists every few weeks. Volunteers are helpful and approachable

This is a beautiful venue to visit, the entry fee is reasonable. I have visited a few times over the last 5 years. This time I actually was able to visit in spring which didn’t disappoint! I have visited in all seasons, it’s always lovely. One thing - it certainly helps if there’s good weather! There are facilities and food & drinks available on site as well. Definitely worth visiting.

The tearooms are lovely and although the menu is limited, our toasties were delicious. The Art Deco house, while not large, is well worth the visit. The views from the bedrooms are amazing and the bathrooms quite something. The beautiful gardens were full of azaleas and rhododendrons. My only complaint would be that it is far from accessible for those with mobility needs. The disabled carspaces are no wider than the normal ones and there is a steep climb up from them. There are virtually no paths, other than the driveway for people who have difficulty with stairs, let alone for those in a wheelchair. This is a shame, because with a little thought I am sure this could be altered with no detrimental effects.

For a small garden, I really enjoyed visiting! There’s not too much that really wowed me but I did love the waterfall (grotto) but I wish there was more access to it. It was exciting to see some wildlife, such as some ducks resting in shade! My highlight was the grotto & the greenery, definitely a good garden to visit if you enjoy walking & exploring! Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the tearooms. I had been looking forward to visiting them but the environment was very intimidating, I’d like to visit again on a quieter day.

Very pretty and well maintained garden where every turn unfolds a new scenery of blooms and colours. Byo food& a rug for a lovely picnic in this garden as all cafes in Leura street has become overpriced.

Beautiful little garden area to visit, with a blend of Japanese and native Australian plants and trees, it has a breathtaking view down the bottom of the gardens also. Highly recommend

The only garden unchanged since designed! We went in Spring with everything in full bloom. To die for original Art Deco main house. An absolutely must visit when in the mountains.

Everglades House & Gardens in Leura is a hidden gem in the Blue Mountains. The 1930s Art Deco house is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, offering stunning views over the Jamison Valley. The gardens are meticulously maintained, featuring a variety of plants and flowers that bloom throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful walk through the terraces, explore the grotto pool, and relax in the tea rooms that serve delightful refreshments. It's a perfect spot for nature lovers and those interested in history and architecture. Highly recommended for a serene and enriching experience.
