6 Beautiful National Parks That Are Accessible by Amtrak

"Also accessible from Miami via the Silver Service/Palmetto, I found the Everglades to be an immense, vital ecosystem — 1.5 million acres of swampy wetlands and untamed wilderness — and you need a boat to properly explore its waterways; day trips from Miami are an easy option." - Skye Sherman Skye Sherman Skye Sherman is a travel writer based in West Palm Beach, Florida. I visited Everglades National Park to see crocodiles and alligators, and the experience was amazing. I did an airboat tour, and the instructor was extremely friendly and funny, which made the ride even more enjoyable. It was truly one of the best adventure experiences I’ve had. After the airboat tour, they gave us a short alligator show, which was really entertaining. The lady who conducted the show was very kind and generous. She explained everything so clearly and made it easy to understand. 100% recommended!

Great national park for viewing wildlife from turtles to alligators to heron. Mostly flat ground trails for easy walking 🚶‍♀️ 😀

First of all, the name is impersonating the National Park, which could be confusing for some. Search for MiamiTours, it's right under this pin in exactly same place. Second, the price for all tours is arbitrary: in person is most expensive, but you can bargain, you can also find it on web site or Groupon or anywhere else and they can match. There are multiple points of sale around the city, and they all bubble up to the same mafia. Third, the organization of the tour is ridiculous: we got earplugs, thanks, but then we got soaked in water in the middle of the lake on a high speed boat, everyone got fully soaked and freezing cold. If they would organize a good rain coats for everyone even for extra payment - this would be much better. Or delay the ride or at least gave a heads up or option to return back if rain starts. Oh yeah, no alligators there, just a windy boat ride on a good day, and windy boat ride with a shower on a bad one. The bus is old, stinky and dirty. Some people refused to board it on the way back. Red flags: no waiver or instructions provided, no refunds.

Came here on 4th of July weekend and did the airboat holiday park tour. Our tour guide was extremely enthusiastic and helped us spot a lot of alligators in the wetlands with interesting insights on alligators. The tour was accompanied with a group photo followed by a very entertaining alligator show. Also got photos with baby alligator(with 10$extra) and it was all worth it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable Adventure at Everglades National Park! We came all the way from Wisconsin, and WOW — what an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of nature and the incredible wildlife. The airboat tour was a total highlight — fast, fun, and full of excitement! We saw 7-8 different alligators up close, The tour guides were fun, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip extra special with their stories and jokes. No gator bites or blood, don’t worry — just pure Florida adventure! 😂 We loved how the park is so well maintained and how much they focus on protecting nature and the ecosystem. The shows were educational and entertaining, perfect for all ages. We had chance to touch baby alligator so cute!! And u can buy pics for 10$ A couple tips before you go: • Bring earplugs or noise-canceling headphones — the airboats are super loud. • Don’t put your bag on the ground during the ride unless you want it soaked — learned that the hard way! 😅 We had an unforgettable time and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend this park for anyone looking for a wild and wonderful experience in nature!

Unforgettable experience seeing the alligators up close and very friendly and professional staff. We were lucky to have Captain Mike guide us and provide a valuable insight into the different types of alligators.

I visited the Everglades Mid May. We were told at the beginning of the tour that we might not catch sight of any crocodiles or birds because of low water levels and hot temperatures. As they said we didn’t see any but for a solitary crane and a baby croc under water. Regardless the air boat ride was nice and the waters surrounded by the mangroves was a unique experience. I recommend making this tour part of your sightseeing itinerary. I appreciated the small group size(9 people in our van), and the convenience of pick up at a nearby hotel to where we were staying was great!
