I was reminded of my stay here from 2014 from some older pictures I found (before Google tied your location to pictures), so my review might be a smidge dated, but it absolutely deserves a review. It was a gorgeous place, nice views, easy parking, with a bar, restaurant (which I don't believe I visited, but the bar was wonderful), and community fire pit. So a great way to meet and casually chill with other travelers, yet, due to the individual cabins, we had plenty of privacy as well. It was also a reasonable distance from the park and an easy drive to get there. It was the most romantic getaway I've ever been on, and I was only looking for somewhere affordable to stay near Yosemite; I hadn't really looked much into the place because I didn't plan on spending a lot of time there. It was surprisingly fantastic, I was blown away. I actually felt annoyed that we didn't end up spending more time JUST there! And this was VERY recently after a huge fire in the park. They managed to make that sad event completely forgettable, even though just up the street, there was a lot of burned forest. Super impressive (and thank goodness the place was intact, they were seriously within like, maybe ¼ mile of the burn). The craziest thing is that the prices from when I stayed there 11 years ago are extremely close, maybe even the same, to what they are now!! Uncovering this memory fills me with urgency to go back ASAP. I wish I could live here 🥲💖

The cabins and the atmosphere of the location are excellent. Easy access into Yosemite Park. Excellent pool and recreation activities available. Cabins are close, but not too close amenities, dining and tavern are within walking distance of all cabins. The food of the restaurant is very good. The service was excellent.|Very family friendly environment. The cabins are small but cozy.

This is a magical place with the most incredible staff. The area is beautiful. The cabins are so clean, well maintained, and have everything you could need. Front desk staff were very accommodating to our needs and even went so far us to upgrade our cabin to a much larger one with no additional chargers. We were impressed by the food, which was great not just for remote-lodge standards but truly great by any luxury hotel’s standards. Can’t wait to come back here.

We stayed in the canvas tent with our kids and it was great. Evergreen offers a pool, game room, and nightly smores for the kids. What's great is it is all included with the stay. Tim at the restaurant and bar is so welcoming and helpful. Tom at reception was a great resource, friendly, and made our stay more enjoyable. We will be back.

This place is super cute and and fun for the entire family. Rooms were clean and all the staff were very kind. Had game rooms, bar, restaurants and outdoor activities. It kept the two adults and three teens all entertained. Very close to a Yosomite entrance. Also had a great shop with food for your room or in the park. Highly recommend

Google
We had a great experience at Evergreen Lodge Restaurant! I had the hot honey crispy chicken sandwich and it was absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and a perfect balance of sweet and heat. Definitely a must-try! We came in just five minutes before lunch service ended, and they still welcomed us with a smile. The service was wonderful—our server was so fun and friendly, and really made us feel at home. The lodge has a cozy, relaxed vibe that’s perfect after a day in Yosemite. Highly recommend both the food and the experience!

Would absolutely recommend. ||The Evergreen Lodge is off the beaten path, and that one thing that makes it so great. The atmosphere is breathtaking, located adjacent to Yosemite National Park and the grounds and facilities are very well maintained by caring and attentive staff. Being away from civilization, all you hear at night (other than the occasional guests) are quiet and wildlife stirring. Each room has a spacious bathroom and a nice deck - ours overlooked the forest. ||Bring groceries to store in the in-room refrigerator and warm anything needing it at the lodge kitchen, as there are no microwaves in the rooms. Prices at the store are a little high, which is understandable due to the obvious distance to get items out there. ||The pool and hot tub are salt water and beautiful, and the kids loved the game room. Overall, an A+ experience. Would definitely go back when visiting Yosemite.

Google
The place was great from checking to checking out. People employed there were very pleasant and easy to talk to and answer questions, from wait staff to management. |Plenty to do at the lodge for both adults and kids. Everything was well maintained in the rustic environment. The only thing I would say to improve, it would have been nice to have a small microwave.

Yelp
5 Stars for DANNY in the restaurant. He is HILARIOUS, attentive and by far, the best waiter I've had in awhile. He was attentive and always assisted our big group of 15 ppl. I would definitely come back here to dine again, if he is our waiter. Danny, you definitely made our trip a memorable one. 10 Stars for YOU!

Yelp
I learned how bad my sleep apnea could get at this lodge. I literally stopped breathing that night and morning. Then a creepy guest started making fun of me outside my cabin. When they encourage you to park in the handicapped spot, you might want to find a deity and hope your afterlife won't be there that soon. It's Yosemite and the land does not seem to like humans very much anymore. Even the trees are different now.

Yelp
--- Review is for Massages --- My partner and I scheduled massages here at the Evergreen Lodge. We were scheduled with Imari, and she had to give the massages one after the next since she was the only MT on staff that day. My partner went first, and coincidentally, she is an MT herself with 20 years experience under her belt. When her massage was over, I guess she communicated that to Imari and I'm sure it was quite the compliment to know that her bodywork movements were that exceptional. For me, I found her to be quite welcoming. She communicated that she doesn't talk during treatment unless to ask questions about the pressure. I LOVE that. She also had very fluid movements and maintained a relaxing pressure that wasn't uncomfortable. This is a long drive for us from Napa, but if Imari was still on staff at this location in the future, we would certainly book with her again. Thank you for reading!

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Hidden being key word. As we drove down this road I asked my husband several times if we were going the right way. The entire stay, from the first impression to our checkout was so perfect. The cottage we stayed in was adorable, the food was amazing, the staff were soooo friendly and the kid's activities were so perfect! They had an amazing play area just steps from our cabin complete with a zip line. We were there for Halloween, and there was a day of activities planned, our daughter loved the pumpkin carving, and trick or treating.

Lindsay B.

Yelp
My family and I came here on our visit to Yosemite and had a lovely time. This is a very family friendly resort and is an absolutely beautiful property that is super clean and well-maintained. They have a great café with friendly, happy, polite staff, and an awesome gift shop that we spent probably far too much money at due to their good selection. We came to California for a 10 day trip and we wished that we stayed here for a large portion of it. They also have a great restaurant on property. We loved our server Danny he was very attentive and extremely kind to our son. He is a gem. If you're considering camping at Yosemite, I would recommend to do this lodge instead as it has everything you need and more and they still have options for family tents that are already set up for you if you're looking to camp. We will be back here sometime. Enjoyed every second here we were sad to leave.

Yelp
Stayed one night here. It is off the main road way. Have to drive to it on a bumpy road. Had to let some cows cross the road to get to our destination lol. Such a pretty pic. Friendly check I staff. Pretty premises. Cabin with no TV. They have board games and Alexa for music. Pool are and ice machine are a little walk away, again you get to experience the beautiful outdoors and nature views

Darren B.

Yelp
As you're driving down the sparsely populated, rough, narrow road, past some cows, you never really guess at how nice this lodge actually is, but then you drive right up on top of it, like an oasis appearing in the desert. The lodge is very nice and a great place to stay if you're visiting the Hetch Hetchy dam area or before heading into Yosemite. The lodge was very full despite my middle of the week, non-holiday visit, so I can only imagine how busy they would be in season. With the whole 'Cabin' vibe of the lodge, when we went to the restaurant, I was expecting more hearty, country-style fare, but the menu clearly reflects their SF/LA based clientele and has a healthier lineup, but everyone can find something they would enjoy. Our maître d' at 7:15 AM, wasn't too welcoming of a presence, but the waitstaff was superb, and we very much enjoyed her time throughout the meal.

Craig C.

Yelp
This resort is nestled about a mile west Yosemite National Park and 5+ miles north of Highway 120. It was built in circa 2001 and is well maintained. The cabins are surrounded by trees but lighted asphalt paths connect everything. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is nice with a limited but diverse menu. The Spinach Salad is excellent but could use some crunch, like sunflower, pine, or pumpkin seeds. Oh and it would be great if they added complimentary bread for dinner. For a family friendly woodsy cabin experience that has easy access to the park, Evergreen Lodge can't be beat.

Yelp
We debated on staying here or at their sister property- Rush Creek Lodge. In the end, we went with Evergreen Lodge. Evergreen is about a 10 minute drive from the main road where Rush Creek is. It's also a mile from the Hetch Hetchy entrance in Yosemite. The cabins are set in the woods. Our cabin was spacious. The beds weren't too comfortable though. There is no TV in the rooms, but there are some old board games. The WiFi would go down at times. The only convenient food option is their restaurant. While the food is decent, it is also overpriced. The property has daily activities. There is also a swimming pool and hot tub, but it isn't something we wanted brave in the cold. The kids in our group enjoyed the play area and the adults went on the mini zipline. We also went to Tuolumne Hall one night. It has a toddler play zone, pool table, shuffleboard, and foosball. Another night, we walked over to Sunset Point for the view. Because we were a large group, we stayed at three different cabins. If we were to come back, we would like to stay at the John Muir House. Not only does it have three bedrooms/ bathrooms, it also has a full kitchen.

Mandana B.

Yelp
We had an amazing stay here! Beautiful lodge with all the resort amenities. Everything was amazing. They have a restaurant, coffee, shop, and lodges themselves are way more than you would expect out in the wilderness. My only challenge with Evergreen was the location, for us, we wanted to go into the valley daily so the drive was pretty hard each day. But if you are looking to stay at the lodge for a day and only go to the valley every other day or visit other areas this spot is perfect. The drive to get to the lodge from the main road is pretty rough, def suggest not driving it at night. We did daytime and it was fine, but it would have been hard at night. - Service - Amenities - Ambiance - Clean

Yelp
We checked-in in their family tent and tried their restaurant after we had our long tiring Yosemite hike. One of the best steak I've tried. Not dry, love the chimichurri sauce on it. The mashed potatoes are the best! And the asparagus on the side is a bomb! Love every single of it. Never once finish a whole steak by myself, this is the first time! Definitely a must try!

Bety P.

Yelp
Had a great family experience. Enjoyed the pool and got to see deer. The restaurant was okay. Had breakfast most of the time but did do a few kid take out meals! Cabins have no Tv which is fine but wish they had a microwave but had a great time. The general store had some grocery items and they have a microwave and toaster. I enjoyed the breakfast burritos. I say experience once. It was about 15 min from the main road but a short distance from the Yosemite entrance made going back and forth convenient.

Angeles G.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay the food at the restaurant amazing, the lodge has a lat of games for kids lots of activities.

O. U.

Yelp
This place is magical! The grounds are beautiful with so much activities for families. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family cabin with my sister and husband. Didn't realize it was a duplex but our neighbors were quiet, so had no issues. We found the cabin extremely clean & comfortable. WiFi was excellent. We had dinner in the tavern & found it a little bit pricey but food was excellent. Overall we enjoyed our stay & are planning to come back in the spring when the waterfalls are running.

Yelp
A beautiful lodge to stop and unwind or stay! In a very picturesque area of the park (I should say close to park if you want to get to exactly so do your research). Wonderful restaurant, the evening we stopped by we got lucky there was an outdoor "all you can eat" bbq for dinner happening as well as the restaurant dining and bonus live music with a very cool band. What motivated me to make this review right now as I sit here enjoying life was meeting the wonderful CAT at the reception desk. She was a godsend! She was incredibly friendly, and so informative. While we did not stay for this visit, we will certainly be back to this part of the park just to bring the best of the family to come here. Great vibe, location, good, adult beverages ;) and awesome staff! All that makes for a good stay and trip. Thank you Cat for making even the visitors feel so welcomed at the lodge. Hope to see you soon! Helpful info for Tesla/EVs drivers: Lodge has two charging stations for HOTEL GUESTS only. These are not Tesla super charge stations and time limit to charge is 3.5 hours. If you are a Tesla driver plan accordingly and do make sure you have your converter thingy to fit the universal nozzle. Clearly this is not my love language just a way I get places.

Kristi M.

Yelp
We stayed in the tents and it was amazing to stroll into camp with the tent ready to go, and to stroll out leaving it all behind! Loved the Rec Room's fire and s'mores outside. Would absolutely do this again.

L S.

Yelp
Most summers we camp in Yosemite. This year we only got a one night reservation so decided to spend the next two nights at the Evergreen Lodge. We stayed in their tents which are very comfortable and have showers, bear bins, etc. nearby. Their food is amazing. Every meal we had at the lodge was delicious and the staff are wonderful. We enjoyed their salt water pool and iced drinks after our daily hikes. Their shop opens at 7am and has packaged sandwiches which we got to take on our hike to Hetch Hetchy. All in all a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning.

Jeffrey V.

Yelp
Everyone at Evergreen Lodge are amazing. We'll be going back for sure. The Bar/Restaurant was amazing with a fireplace and tv for sports and wonderful bartenders! We loved Mark & Sam, with their amazing skills and dedication to this establishment. We received 2 complimentary cocktails for my birthday upon check-in, which was a very nice surprise. We took advantage of the fire pit and s'mores in the evening. The only issues we had were typical motel issues like the living room lamp didn't work, the bathroom sink is clogged and doesn't drain, or toilet doesn't flush unless you hold the handle down that clogged anyway. They were quick to send help to plunge it, but would rather have a room without problems. The hot tub was cold Monday evening at 6pm, and practically got frostbite getting back to the cabin. The first 2 nights, Sat & Sun were great, but Tues, 12/9 it was cold and the pool was covered. Maintenance was called. Management needs to step up the maintenance on this property, but the employees there are wonderful. I just feel you should have these amenities working for the guests to enjoy since that is what we are paying for....so that's why I took a star away, otherwise it would be 5 stars.

Eve A.

Yelp
We stayed at sister property (Firefall Ranch) and booked two excursions through Evergreen. From finding last minute openings to the final drop off, I can not say enough about the young professionals whom I encountered. Aaron at the check in desk and especially Claire and Tyler A, our tour guides on our excursions, were top notch in all ways and really enjoyed by our whole group. They both were training other guides and took time to educate us all. They both were especially adept at gleaning the group's abilities in our activities. Bravo to a great group of young professionals dedicated to the environment and to their jobs!

Lea M.

Yelp
I have passed by the Evergreen Lodge many times on the way to Yosemite on the Hetch Hetchy side and promised myself I would make it back for a stay and well I finally did and I loved every moment of it! This resort is amazing in every way. The ambiance while rustic and charming still feels luxurious and relaxing. They offer so many activities from guided hikes, children's activities, a massage in a quiet private area. The pool area was beautiful and overlooks the rim of the world, they offer a nice poolside bbq buffet and bar to enjoy while relaxing. There is also an observation deck close by to view the gorgeous sunset. There are s'mores, a coffee bar and a delicious restaurant and tavern to enjoy. I will certainly return for a longer stay the next time around. A standout for me was the staff! They were ALL so hospitable and accommodating it was truly a breath of fresh air!

Jen V.

Yelp
This is an amazing place for friends and families. BUT if you don't tip the bartenders how they want to be tipped they will cut you off. I was watching the. giants game and got cut off yet the group behind me couldn't even put a sentence together between their whole group but kept being served. Every other thing was amazing! The massage was AMAZING!!! Very kid friendly. The breakfast is awesome! Lying by the pool and not having to worry about your kids being bored is priceless.

Dave T.

Yelp
We heard about this place from friends and decided it was a good location for a quick 2-night trip to Hetch Hetchy and Yosemite. We stayed in one of their cottage units which had one bedroom, bathroom and separate living room. They have a mixture of lodging options including houses, cabins, cottages and even tents in the summertime. There's a store with coffee bar (loved the s'more lattes), an activity center which includes a spacious lounge area with a lot of chairs and couches and a bar/restaurant. They also have a large play area for kids as well as a short nature trail. We dined in their restaurant both nights because the food was that good. That was a pleasant surprise. We wrapped up both meals with complimentary s'mores. They provide the ingredients and you roast your own marshmallows using their outdoor fireplace. They also host various activities throughout the day whether it be craft-making or presentations. It snowed the previous week so occupancy rate was very low during our visit which means it was nice and peaceful. The staff was very friendly as well. If you want something more fancy, check out their sister property Rush Creek Lodge. We stopped there for lunch on the way home and it's more of a resort feel whereas the Evergreen Lodge appeals to those (including us) who enjoy the outdoors/nature. Things to note: Be aware that there are no TVs in these units if that matters to you. They do have Alexa devices so we listened to music while we lounged. The property is several miles off the main highway and the road to get there is winding and rough in some spots. You continue on this road past the property to get to Hetch Hetchy so it's convenient. Most of the cabin and cottage units don't have parking in front. You have to park in the main parking lot which requires a short walk.

Robyn W.

Yelp
We had an excellent experience. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. It was amazing to have access to an outdoor pool. I would definitely return.

Kathleen Kaye T.

Yelp
Julia in the Rec Center saved the day! She gave us THE best advice for hiking to the top of Nevada Falls. Someone we love passed away in 2020 and he loved that hike. We made the long journey to honor him in doing what he loved on the anniversary of his passing. Not only was the hike challenging, it was cleansing and good for the soul. Thank you Julia for helping us. You made a difference that day for us in a huge way

Kate S.

Yelp
Just returned from a family getaway to the Evergreen Lodge. Took my children there decades ago before it was expanded and renovated. This time it was my adult children and grandchildren. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lots for the kids to do and explore. The highlight was our Yosemite tour. It was just our family in the van and Lakota, our guide, was wonderful and tailored the experience to our wishes and brought us to some amazing spots off the beaten path. My oldest grandson said it was the best trip ever! I agree!

Donna G.

Yelp
We loved our stay! The staff was friendly and our cabin was clean and comfy. We would definitely recommend it. Lots of activities for adults and kids.

Lynn A.

Yelp
Our tour guide Matt, literally made the tour for all of us. This young man was so knowledgeable, so interesting and full of knowledge that you would have thought he was born and raised in the Yosemite Valley. His passion and love of the area and complete respect for the animals and the ancestry of what came before, truly showed through out the tour. And I felt completely relaxed with his driving on those mountain roads and his care and concern for the wildlife in the area. It actually made me slow down as I was leaving for home yesterday. Mindful of bears and dear, I slowed my pace down on my drive. My 14 year old granddaughter loved it as much as I did and said that she learned a lot from Matt. This is a wonderful tour and we will be back!

Liliana V.

Yelp
There was a wedding at the main plaza, I wish this was something communicated to the other guest so we could accommodate or change reservations as needed. The play area / game room had no ac, this weekend was about 108 degrees so it was pretty miserable, we couldn't enjoy it. At one point the power went out in our room so no internet or air, it was out approximately 30 mins or so and then there were no issues. The restaurant was overpriced and the food wasn't great. Overall it could have been better for the price we payed, however, the area was nice and close to Yosemite

Melanie M.

Yelp
We have been trying to get to Yosemite with our son for 3 years. A business trip then COVID got in the way. During that time he got older and finding someplace that we would all enjoy and be comfortable was a little trickier. The Evergreen Lodge is perfect for us. Our comfortable 2-room cabin is just the right size. The drive in to Yosemite does take a little longer, but the sights along the way are spectacular. While my husband and son are on a longer hike, I am enjoying a leisurely day at the Lodge. It is quiet, comfortable and filled with friendly travelers.

Sarah E.

Yelp
My ex husband enjoyed the guided Yosemite Tours. I loved the cabins coziness and all of the activities offered by the concierge. Instructions for checkin are seasonally appropriate and all of the staff is friendly and welcoming whatever the weather.

Jamie C.

Yelp
Evergreen was a wonderful place to stay however beyond that the staff was incredible. Tom Holden gave us exceptional assistance with a hiccup we had and we would solely return due to his great customer service. The ground are great. Restaurant and bar fantastic. Lovely layout and facilities. Highly recommend

Debby L.

Yelp
Facility is really well taken care of w/great attention to details in the cabins. Very friendly staff. Our waiter at the lodge; 50+ gentleman with sweet blue eyes made our dining experience. He was super excited just to be serving and represented this establishment with perfection!

Zoe B.

Yelp
This is a wonderful place - the beauty of the site is only overshadowed by the kindness of the staff. A wonderful vacation place!

Kat K.

Yelp
We took the We did not stay at Evergreen but stayed at Rush Creek - Evergreen sponsored our tour which was the Range of Light Yosemite Valley Tour. Chelsea was our tour guide and I could not say enough wonderful things about her - she was just great- knows the area Very well - was knowledgeable, kind, easy going, fun, a great driver and just so personable. She made the tour extremely enjoyable - we were so happy we took the tour.

Darla H.

Yelp
My husband and I made our way up to Yosemite to visit our son. We reserved a cabin at Evergreen Lodge facing the sunset every evening. From the staff, to the excellent food and drinks and enjoying the simple pleasures of nature. We loved every minute. It was so nice not having a TV. The cabin had games, cards and a beautiful deck to relax and read. I have to give credit to the staff.Everyone that works here is incredible but Catt, Stephanie, Rosemary, Jacob, Mark and Ryan were amazing! They all took wonderful care of us. They made sure we had a secluded cabin, the best cocktails my favorite, the old fashion, with the fried chicken sandwich. The Tavern has great service. We can't wait for or next visit in December.

Lesley S.

Yelp
It's a long story of how we ended up at the Evergreen Lodge this past week (heat wave, power outages, friends cancelling, etc!), but I can't express how grateful I am that we did! First, major props to the staff, who were absolutely amazing. On this trip we stayed at 3 different places, and the staff at Evergreen was far and away the more hospitable, helpful, friendly, and generous. It's clear they love being at this place and welcoming guests. Shout out to Brian W at the desk, Mike at the pool bar, the GM whose name I forgot (married to Kristin), and Kristin the guest chef :-) We stayed in the "custom camping" area where there was a tent already set up with provided mattresses, sleeping bags, pillow + pillow case, towels, and extra blanket. They also gave us a lantern, and there was a bear box to store our food (though no cooking allowed - we just had snacks). The bathrooms in the camping area were really nice and clean (much nicer than Curry Village or typical camping bathrooms). The mattresses were surprisingly comfortable for sleeping on the ground! The sleeping bags were a bit scratchy but everything was really clean. My kids liked the camping experience and I was grateful we didn't have to figure out setting up a tent or all the other work of camping, haha. It was much more affordable than the cabins, and you are still a part of the lodge area as a whole, with access to pool, game rooms, dining, etc. There is excellent wifi throughout the property, and A/C in at least one of the buildings where we could hang out (it was 90* when we were there). Apparently their power grid + generators has prevented them from experiencing power outages that the nearby town had. The location is fairly remote - closer to Hetch Hetchy than Yosemite Valley, but the drive over to the valley was nice and you can't really get much closer from this side of the park. It would be a long day to go into the valley and back, but I would totally come to Evergreen just to stay at Evergreen! The prices are a bit high, especially for food, but the quality was good, so I guess you get what you pay for!

Juan G.

Yelp
Listen, they tell you it's Evergreen Lodge Yosemite but what they don't tell you is it's a forty minute drive to the entrance gate. Sure it kinda near Yosemite as planet Earth is kinda near the sun. Here is another problem, they have a seven day cancellation deadline and still they charge you a 25 dollar fee to cancel. Who does that? Don't even ask what they get if you cancel with less notice! We wanted to see Yosemite's fire-fall from February 10 to the 28th on weekends. So I booked a cottage for two nights. Of course, they have a two night minimum. I call them and they say the Yosemite National Park Service doesn't release the required day passes until the day before we would arrive. The passes are very limited so if we couldn't get passes, we would be out of luck and stuck at this hotel. I said, please cancel my reservation and I notice my card was subtly charged 25 dollars. These people are slick marketers, their ad on Google comes up first so you think it's in the park.

Mathew K.

Yelp
The night time bartender that wears glasses is very rude, and disrespectful to all customers. He is also very slow doesn't care about pleasing the customers. I hope they get someone better in there, evergreen is a nice place to stay other than that guy.

Annie T.

Yelp
I am shocked and saddened by the inflexible customer service at Evergreen Lodge. And unfortunately will not be recommending this establishment. Be aware of their strict policies when you reserve here: - You need a minimum of 2 nights to stay here, and one night's stay is your Deposit amount, which is steep since rooms are typically $350-550/night. - You cannot change your date within 14 days, even if you made your reservations within 14 days and even if it is due to circumstances beyond your control, like a nearby wildfire. You lose your Deposit. - When you call, you may be put on hold for long periods of time, bounced around to different people, and sometimes calls just drop or no one answers it. - If you are allowed to change your reservation (ie, if it's outside the 14 day window), you have to pay a "change fee", and you're given a deadline to make your new reservation. - You cannot make a new reservation online. You must remember a code and call to talk with customer service to use the code. Otherwise you lose your Deposit. If you are even one day late, you lose your Deposit. - You are only allowed to change your reservation ONE time, regardless of circumstances, including circumstances beyond your control like nearby wildfires and health emergencies. I have stayed at Evergreen Lodge a few years ago and had a good experience, despite the high cost of lodging and food and the uncomfortable beds. The property was cute and is located close to one of the park entrances. So I am greatly disappointed with my latest experience with customer service in the Reservations and Front Desk departments when I tried to visit but a raging wildfire made it unsafe to travel. Especially given this time when big things can happen (pandemic, wildfires, health alerts), establishments, like Evergreen Lodge, should be more understanding by offering refunds or at least more lenient rescheduling options, and consumers need to be careful where we put our money. This was a $450 mistake (my Deposit) that I don't want other people to make.

Nice place house keeping was very accommodating food was good had a real bad experience with night time bar tender he said bar was closed to cocktails and then made one for one of the staff in front of my son who was there doing food tasting for his wedding he is having there the night before this guy was not pleasant at all you would think they would have more personal people working at that position.Really disappointed especially when you're paying to have a wedding there

Yelp
What a special place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Evergreen Lodge, with its rustic charm, plethora of fun things to do when not hiking Yosemite (swimming pool and hot tub, bike riding, ping pong, tavern and poolside bar, stargazing, among others), and great service from the staff. Our cabin was clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. Such a good sleep with windows and sliding door to private deck open! Wifi in the room and common areas. No TVs in the rooms, a good thing when visiting the splendor of Yosemite. Picking Evergreen Lodge based on proximity to the Big Oak Flat and Hetch Hetchy Entrances to Yosemite proved to be a wise decision. We were able to arrive early, ahead of the rush, each day of our stay. To squeeze in even more, we also hiked idyllic Carlon Springs Falls before checkout our last day. The restaurant, reviewed separately, was top notch. When getting here, or driving to the lower valley or especially Hetch Hetchy, one must be comfortable driving on narrow, winding roads with no guardrails and steep drop offs if you make one false move. The destination is worth it! Highly recommend Evergreen Lodge!

Yelp
Disappointing. We've been coming here for 5 years and have had great memories. It's a shame to see the decline in upkeep and food/service, especially as the price goes up. Our cabins that we reserve a year in advance, and confirmed a months in advanced were taken when we went to check in, and we got moved next to the pool which is loud all day /night. People in the pool as early as 7 and as late as 10:30. Front desk impotent as to options to change cabins. Food is getting worse and service is just OK. The wait time is long for any meal, but has always been and we are in no rush so appreciate the time at the table with family, especially if we sit outside and the kids can go play in the courtyard. Overall a declining experience, and would recommend setting your expectation lower than the price might indicate.

Yelp
I love these people. So nice and excellent customer service, from the tavern, general store, lounge, and reception booth.

Yelp
My family and I went late April 2021 and stayed at the Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite. It was awesome, The Lodge is about 45 minutes out of the park and is secluded. We saw a black bear on the road leading up there and many deer. The lodge has PLENTY of activities for kids as wel had a heated pool and Jacuzzi. We did a range of light tour with tour guide JULIA. She was an awesome guide and was very good with our kids. She took us to several hidden gems in the park. I would highly recommend asking for JULIA for a guide in Yosemite. She knows a lot of history of the park and answered our kids questions and keep them busy. We would definitely come back to this lodge!

Yelp
Our two day visit was simply not enough, and really not what I expected. This place is very rustic, and very family friendly with a lot of activities and great "playgrounds". I thoroughly enjoyed watching the kids really enjoy playing outdoors. The location of the lodge is perfect, away from it all but yet so close to "everything" which is basically the entrance to Yosemite and a gas station on the opposite end. The drive there was beautiful, and so many stopping areas to enjoy the river. The food was "okay", not the best but unfortunately the only choice out there. It was very pricey and I would opt for a room with a kitchenette next time if there is such an option. The room was perfect, no TV (which was great !!!) but we definitely got a kick out of Alexa, our nosey roommate who we dared not talk about her. Thankfully they didn't have WiFi because that forced us to really really enjoy each other and our environment! Great little lodge !

Yelp
We had a recent stay at the Evergreen Lodge....we are not youngsters but had booked one of the tents as we were feeling adventurous (and cheap)...unfortunately the tents did not work for us..too many bathroom stops at night and the mattresses that the sleeping bags were on were slippery and hubby's bag kept slipping off the mattress...not a good night. So, the next morning I went to the front desk at 7am and asked, please, for a cabin, for our last night. Tom was wonderful...he understood my concern and gave us an amazing cabin (S-1) for our next night. Customer service amazing; staff very friendly and accommodating. It is a great place for kids and family. The sunsets and pool are not to be missed. Thank you Tom for saving our trip and possibly my marriage :)

Yelp
My first time going to Yosemite was an amazing experience, and Evergreen lodge was a huge part of that. After hiking all day in the valley, we checked in and unloaded in one of their amazing cabins. Everyone was friendly, the rooms were comfy, and food was amazing. The kids had a blast in the pool and playing all over the site. There's so much to do, I wish we had more than two days there. Don't skip the dinner buffet, highly recommend it. If I could give this place 6 stars I would!

Yelp
I wish I had a longer stay! My husband surprised me with two nights in one of the cabins. It's on a beautiful property that looked like it may have had some differed maintenance, but was being taken care of. The restaurant was good our meal had an interesting southern food influence with succotash, and black eyed peas. I understand the chef is new. It was a bit of a drive out to the property on some ruff road, but totally worth it. My only complaint was the lack of a heater in the bathroom that was off the front entry, and farthest from the only heat source in the cabin. There is no television, but who goes on vacation to watch t.v.? There was an Alexa in the room (we played music), a few games, and a great little deck. I'm looking forward to staying again soon.

Yelp
This was an exceptional experience for my family. There were three adults and 2 children under the age of 6. The rooms were very clean and cozy! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! From the reception desk, to the general store barista (yes, you can get a latte!) and cashiers, to the housekeepers, to the maintenance folks, to the restaurant staff: every single interaction that I had with the staff was above my expectations! The grounds are amazing. There is so much for families to do. The zip line was a hit with the 6 year old and 4 year old! Even the adults enjoyed it. They have a nice recreation room, different play structures, great restaurant and bar. The general store had great selections. We sat at the sunset deck and watched the sunset. The Yosemite Park entrance was just about 15 minutes away. Thank you to all at the Evergreen Lodge for a wonderful trip.
