Evergreen Lodge

An incredible place all around! The renovations are beautifully done while preserving the original vibe and eclectic charm. The grounds are well maintained, the lake and surrounding scenery are absolutely breathtaking, and the fishing is excellent. John and Kathy are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I would recommend this place a thousand times over. If you're looking for a place to rest, recharge, and connect with nature, Evergreen Lodge will not disappoint!

We had such a lovely week at Evergreen Lodge with our three kiddos. We had everything we needed in our cabin (White Pine), and the lodge, lake, and grounds were absolutely beautiful. It’s the type of place where time seems to slow down. So many happy memories playing cards on the front porch of the lodge, kayaking, fishing, watching the sunset, and stargazing. Thanks, Kathy and John for being the perfect hosts!

For the first 22 years of my life, I spent time at Evergreen Lodge with my family every summer. So, I have a host of treasured memories of the resort, lake, nature, and people. My wife and I just enjoyed a long weekend at Evergreen Lodge under the new owners. It was the first time back in 39 years. Kathy and John are the perfect couple to own Evergreen. They have their own fond family memories of vacations here and understand what makes this is a unique place to stay in the Wisconsin north woods. The lodge itself has been completely rebuilt, but it balances the rustic looks from the past with modern conveniences like a comfortable sitting area with a large flat screen TV, modern kitchen, air conditioning, etc. Kathy and John provide delicious breakfast creations each morning. The cabins have been partially remodeled with kitchenettes and updated bathrooms, but they retain the simple cedar log cabin lore with small rooms and screen porches to enjoy the beautiful views. Kathy and John have added new fire pit sitting areas, grills, and a playground for guests to gather. Little Crooked Lake remains a hidden gem. It's a small lake with most of the shore uninhabited. So, wildlife is abundant with eagles, loons, otters, ducks, swans, wild turkey, and deer. A variety of fish can be found, including the evasive muskie. Evergreen Lodge isn't fancy. If you are looking for a peaceful north woods setting to enjoy nature and play with friends and family, this is it. We look forward to making more memories on our next stay.

Wonderful, woodsy cabin life on a quiet, peaceful lake! John and Kathy are the perfect hosts for this hidden gem of a getaway. The cabins are tastefully updated while keeping the charming history of this homestead alive. The remodeled lodge is the perfect gathering place for meals, movies and family game nights. Evergreen is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and rejuvenate! Thank you for the memories!

Many good times and memories. The breakfast were great ! My sons and their families and my wife and I really enjoyed the many good times at Evergreen. We were planning on a family vacation in 2020, I hope the new owners reopen the Lodge. The 4th of July fireworks over the lake were always a highlight. The fishing was great. The perfect place to relax.

Fantastic place. Definitely feel like you're in the north woods. Great scenery, very nice lake. Accommodations are nice and the breakfasts are hard to beat. It's been a couple of years since our stay, but will definitely return.

I really liked being so close to water and staying in the nort woods lots of deer and Eagles -loons great place to share with family members. The cottages are about 50 yrs old real neat feeling going back in time. Another nice touch is breakfast come with the rate hot breakfast fun to meet other people staying there. I haven up there over 25 days this year and can't wait to go back

Great time. Kathy and the staff are terrific and made us feel very comfortable. The renovations look good. Highly recommend the Evergreen Lodge.

Great individual northwoods cabins with an old fashioned vibe. Family and dog friendly, thay include breakfast. My cabin had a weber grill, a deck, a screened in porch, 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. A fireplace was in the living room, and the kitchen had a devent sized table. 2 docks with free canoes and paddle boats, a small game room and an old fashioned lodge with a screened in porch area for dining was just charming. This place has been here for a long time, and it has that feel, though cabin furnishings are updates and tidy. Families come back year after year for the ambiance. There is an indoor play area, sn outdoor swing set and slide on the beach.. trails amd bikes for your use. Great place to relax.

My wife and I have been going there 2 years now, so relaxing and quiet. Affordable pricing, boats & motors which are reliable and good fishing all around. We look forward to going up again in 2015.
