EVERGREEN SWEET HOUSE

Whenever I visit this iconic sweet house, I get transported back to my IIT days in 1970s, when we, a group of students, would often cycle to this place to celebrate special occasions, or to just enjoy their chaat and sweets. It remains, over the decades, my and my family's favorite eatery for chaat and sweets. Visited recently with my wife. It was a slighly hurried visit. Just ordered Papri Chaat and Paav Bhaji, and as always, they were just perfect, the way they should be prepared and served. Service was efficient and courteous. Would continue to visit, whenever possible.

Our server Pawan recommended Chole bature and gol gappe ki chaat and both tasted good. His service was exceptional and he went above and beyond. Ambience was decent. Has non AC seating on the ground floor and AC seating on the first floor.

Great restaurant with equally good food at very reasonable prices. It's a nice family restaurant and can get very busy, so be prepared for a wait. The staff is friendly and will help you with any decisions about your food. Has an upper seating area. The only thing that marred a perfect 5 star score was a creepy crawly coming out from the couch...expected in Delhi but a big no no for me.

Waited 20 minutes. There were not many people around. Still they ask you to say the same thing twice , thrice. The height of counters will prevent you to talk to the senseless guy on the other side. They simply don't care. It's a very out dated , overhyped shop. The taste was average. I think there is no one to supervise this shop. The customer service is not bad. It's not there. I think they are assured that customers have no worth. If you are educated, or an NRI don't come to this shop. It's a total waste of time. They are living im stone age. Absolutely pathetic.

I ordered Pakiza sweets from Evergreen Sweets Green Park via Swiggy, and the experience was utterly disappointing. The Pakiza sweets were stale, had a foul smell, and were pale yellow, clearly not fresh and possibly spoiled. When I contacted Swiggy, they offered no help. I then called Evergreen, and the staff’s behavior was shockingly arrogant, careless, and rude. When I pressed them to check and revert as promised, they snapped, “I have a lot of work and I’m not sitting idle,” showing complete disregard for customer service. Later, they offered a replacement but acted as if they were doing me a huge favor or charity, not taking responsibility for their substandard product. No refund or proper resolution was provided. This unprofessional attitude and poor quality control are unacceptable for a reputed sweet shop. Management must address staff behavior and ensure food safety. Buyers, beware—check your order, especially Pakiza, carefully!

I always buy from this sweet shop whenever i come to Delhi from Mumbai. This time had a bad experience i bought Pinni and desi ghee ladoo . I told them that i will be traveling next day buy train please give me from a fresh lot. But this morning when i opened the box to taste the pinni the taste is old and no longer fresh. When i went to pay they changed the box which was already paked dont know for how long. My trust is broken. I bought 2 kgs of Mithai. I am very disappointed. My request to you all that please when you are buying double check whether they put the same Mithai or not. So much money I spent. Look at that the ghee has already spread in the box .

I recently visited Evergreen Restaurant and found the overall food experience to be quite average. I tried a variety of dishes including idli, dosa, and chole bhatura, but unfortunately, none of them stood out in terms of taste. The flavors were rather bland and didn’t live up to expectations. However, the salt lassi was a pleasant surprise—it was refreshing, well-balanced, and easily the highlight of the meal. On the positive side, the restaurant itself is spacious with comfortable seating, making it a good place for families or groups. The service was also efficient and prompt, which added to the convenience. Overall, while the atmosphere and service were impressive, the food quality needs improvement. I would rate my experience a 6/10.

Worst place ever. Pure pretense...in the name of good ambience and sitting..they are making fool out of their customers. Pathetic service as nobody arrives to take the order on time. I kept on saying "Excuse me" but nobody listened to me and came to take the order. The staff is so lethargic and non-workaholic. Always misplaces the order. Never listens to their customers...and even i found one of the staffs eating himself in the kitchen. That raises the serious concern about the hygiene and the overall food serving. Coming on to taste, Pathetic...Never order anything from them. Below average dosa, dal makhni is like where is Dal and where is makhni.... Simple boiled lentil. And nothing to talk about their breads.... always uncooked and badly burnt. I would never recommend going there. Better go to some small cart and have their chur-chur naan. Pathetic experience. Rating 1 because... something i need to rate... can't go below 1 or 0...
