We decided to try this out for the first time and we were not disappointed. Our server was great, the food was great ( I do wish we would have made it for brunch as the menu did shift some) and the location was perfect. They do have outdoor seating options but be prepared for some flies, which I just feel a good pressure wash of the patio would take care of. We also did happen to can’t the happy hour, which was a plus!

This is a very cute restaurant with great food. The Parmesan truffle fires were delicious and I highly recommend. The fish tacos were also very delicious, I wish they had more sauce but that’s all I would change. They have a nice area outside for seating, which was perfect for the summer evening. I would definitely come back!

Google
Been here about 3 times now, and always a great experience :) cocktails are delicious, service is usually prompt, and food is wonderful. My ONE note is more for vegetarians in that the tofu isn’t the best seasoned/prepared. THAT said, it’s usually an additive for a salad that doesn’t need it as they are quality dishes by themselves. My parents who are extremely picky eaters loved it. Easy endorsement and ready for the next visit :)

Google
They did it again! The food was awesome. We ordered the same things as last time: the steak, the tea-braised pork (so tasty), and the Peruvian chicken skewers (the sauce is just amazing). Seriously, you have to check out Everly. It’s definitely the best spot in Madison! Plus, Trevor and the guys at the front were super friendly to us!

Google
One of the best restaurants I had been to! I tried the truffle fries, Peruvian chicken skewers, fried artichoke and more (which do not have avocado in the sauce! One of our group members was allergic and the waiter confirmed there wasn’t any). The fried artichoke was my favorite, picture is the Korean chicken, which was good but not my pace so I traded my friend for their salmon BLT, which was also delicious! Within walking distance to a small park with a lake which was a nice afternoon walk.

Google
We made a reservation here because I read they could accommodate gluten-free and three of us have celiac disease. They did a fantastic job letting us know what we could eat. It is so hard to find gluten-free chicken and waffles but they have it here and the fryer is dedicated gluten-free. It was beyond delicious. I will be back when I return to Madison.

We chose this place to be our first taste of Madison WI, and to say the least, it left quite a first impression. The atmosphere is very upbeat, with prominent botanical accents and vibrant bright colors, all in a clean space with very attentive and friendly staff! The service was standout exceptional, which to me is always an important part of dining. Each dish stood out, and the menu provided an eclectic variety of fabulous flavor! Additionally, the Everly menu is extremely gluten-free friendly, with all of their dishes being gluten-free by default or request, and all fryers being gluten-freeIt was an amazing overall experience and I would recommend to everyone from families to dates :D

Google
Quinn was an exceptional server! He was thorough and attentive. We had a great conversation about hot sauce too! The food was top notch, highly recommend the chicken skewers as the chimmichurri aioli was DELICIOUS.

Yelp
Everly is always a great choice if you're in the Monroe area and looking for an upscale casual place to eat. Indoor seating is really cute, when it's warmer the patio and outdoor bar is great also Dinner options are great but I actually like their brunch and breakfast more. Especially the French toast!

Yelp
Always delicious, but hard to get in for brunch. I highly recommend a reservation. They have a very eclectic menu that has something for everyone. They specialize in gluten free and vegan options, but have a little bit of everything. The quality of the food and ingredients is always exceptional. Service was prompt and food was fast. The restaurant is modern, yet cozy, with a good mix of tables, booths, and high tops. There were several large groups there the last time I went, but they were able to get us in.

Yelp
Service: 5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Price: 4/5 atmosphere: 4/5 (looks great, but too loud to have a decent conversation ) Truffle fries were amazing! We also ordered the nachos as an appetizer, and they were a bit too spicy for most of the group (were weak), although the flavors were good. I ordered the grain bowl with chicken and it was amazing! Next time, I'd love to try their coffee drinks and dessert.

Yelp
The server was very friendly and quick. The drinks were very well balanced. We got the cauliflower to start but it was kind of bland. I ordered the so cal bowl and it was delicious. There was a ton of flavor but definitely could have been more filling. I would recommend adding something to make it a full meal. Everly is a beautiful restaurant it's so bright and airy.

Yelp
I was pretty meh on tonight's meal. I think the menu has changed a bit since I last visited (granted, that was a while ago), they didn't have the grilled cheese with tomato soup. I was quite hungry because I didn't have enough for lunch and didn't find the tea-braised pork to be quite enough. The flavor was also more on the subtle side and I was looking for something really full-bodied and filling. I considered the steak or fried chicken sandwich too and I think those are what I was actually in the mood for. A co-worker got the house burger and that looked pretty great. The patty was (maybe a little too) juicy and a big chonk, with plenty of fries. The chocolate mousse terrine for dessert wasn't quite what I was expecting either. It had a bit of bitterness/acridity (is that a word?) which was off-putting. A bit more sweetness would've helped.

Yelp
My daughter lives in Fitchburg and recommended this place for lunch/brunch,she loves it.Very eclectic menu and I like that it has vegan and vegetarian options for many entrees. Very bright and comfortable.Service was good, but a little on the slow side. Will definitely go back because of the options available as my daughter is a vegetarian and it's hard to find a nice restaurant where there's something for everyone even a vegetarian. They also have a really nice drink menu to go along with the brunch

Yelp
I dined at Everly twice this past week because I had such a great first visit. My first experience was a weeknight dinner, and my second was a late Saturday lunch. Our waiter was extremely attentive and had a wonderfully bright personality. Service was very quick, from placing our order to receiving our dishes. We ordered the truffle fries as an appetizer, and they were fresh out of the fryer. The fries had the perfect level of truffle oil, and they were SO crispy. My favorite dish from both visits was the kale salad. I would eat this every single day if I could. The salad is mixed with a sweet vinaigrette, and topped with finely shaved Parmesan and thinly diced apples. Both the chicken sandwich and house burger were good. But the stand-out entree was the steak sandwich I ordered for dinner earlier in the week. I was blown away by the sandwich, and how deliciously seasoned the steak was. For lunch, we spent $44 for two entrees and an appetizer, and it was well worth the service, environment, and yummy food. I'm a bigger fan of their dinner menu than their lunch menu, so although I won't be returning for lunch, I will be visiting again soon for dinner.

Yelp
Great spot. The service was wonderful and the plants they have growing on the bar make it a very unique experience. You will not be disappointed by the food either.

Yelp
This is a very nice brunch place with a nice and clean interior. We ordered the truffle fries, which were very delicious! The drinks were also good. My friend ordered the house burger, which she thought was yummy. I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito, but I was not that big of a fan, since it didn't have that much flavor to me/turns out I don't like quinoa that much. However, the spicy sauce that came with it was flavorful and pretty spicy. Our server was also so nice! Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would just try ordering a different thing from the menu next time. (:

Yelp
We sat outside and there were heat lamps during brunch. I really enjoyed the So-Cal grain bowl with chicken added and their latte was strong. The server mentioned that the So-Cal grain bowl was one of their more popular items. The outdoor patio area is dog friendly. And there's plenty of seating inside. Great brunch place and we were able to make reservations online the day before. They have a small parking lot but plenty of street parking too.

Yelp
Outstanding experience. We were in town on a couples 24 hour getaway with friends. We made reservations en route to Madison. We had an event to be at by 7pm Alliant Energy Center. We arrived and were promptly seated. Atmosphere is open, yet cozy. The esthetic is perfect for a dinner with friends to laugh, yet not too loud. The server was friendly, kind, knowledgeable of entrees and she was spot on with recommendations. The Poke Nachos were phenomenal and the truffle fries are always a win. The table loved the selection of Coconut Curry with Chicken and the Thai Chicken. (Not listed as exact menu titles) prices and portions were great for the entire experience. Highly recommend. The restaurant was full and steady service. I would encourage a reservation if you do have the opportunity.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite date night places in Madison. I love their blueberry matcha and so is the mint cold brew. I recommend checking out their happy hour. The Poke Nachos and fried artichokes are wonderful! The staff are knowledgeable and atmosphere is light and fun. The patio is heated and dog friendly.

Yelp
I was there on a Saturday evening. The place was full, and there were people waiting to get a seat. I went for a take out dinner. I liked the so-cal grain bowl with chicken the most. It had a lot of fresh veggies. Honey mustard chickken sandwich was also good. A little bit more flavour would have improved the taste though.

Yelp
Cute place and great service from the bartenders to the main dining. The butternut squash forbidden rice curry with chicken was delish!

Yelp
Came while visiting a friend of mine who is going to law school at Madison. First thing: their happy hour is extremely specific. We were all jazzed about their happy hour deals, only to find out those deals are just for people sitting at the bar and outside. Huh?? I've never heard of happy hour deals based on sitting location before, sooooo read the fine print I guess. It took awhile for our drinks to come, and food, but they were pretty busy so that makes sense. Our waitress was super nice and helpful when she did come to our table, so I was appreciative of that. I got the black bean burger, which was pretty good. Although I honestly liked the kale salad it came with even more (their dressing is bomb). We also ordered truffle fries as an app, and those were awesome, the aioli it came with SMACKED! The inside is very cute, very bright and open. The outdoor patio looked super nice, and next time I'd maybe opt for that.

Yelp
+Wine and drink selection +Service +Ambiance +Celebrate birthdays -Food Review based on the evening of October 23, 2023. The chosen spot of a friend to celebrate her birthday dinner, it was the first time dining at Everly for all in our party. I arrived first and asked the hostess if Everly celebrates birthday guests. I was thrilled to learn Everly will give a complementary drink or dessert! First things first were truffle fries. Unfortunately, being even at the closest table to the kitchen these fries were not hot when they came out. Also lacking crispness and visual doneness. We picked at but did not finish. Two of us had the butternut squash and forbidden rice curry entrée with chicken. Another had the steak. The two of us having the curry came in hot, wanting that just upon a preview of the menu! I can report a plentiful portion. In the evening at home to finish it I found a couple of bones - like literally an inch and a half pieces of skinny bone. Safety issue! Primary driver of why I doubt I'll return to eat here. I just don't think bone left in a curry broth can be overlooked. Wine and drinks were had by others at the table and based on their ordering second rounds enjoyed the beverages. Words were said as such. Friend did partake of her complementary birthday dessert. Our server had recommended the bananas Foster puff pastry. It was a lot of pastry. We were really looking for a Flambee and a lot of sauce and banana. So this didn't quite meet the expectation. While Everly doesn't have our favorite vibe in Madison at the moment, there is an ambiance with the open modern concept and clean decor. We appreciate the coat rack at the door so we can leave jackets immediately behind and still see them and know that they will be there when we leave. I don't recall the name of our server anymore, but he was attentive enough without being overbearing and answered our couple of questions for order suggestions. All in all, I can't say it lives up to the hype. With all the restaurant competition in Madison, it's not at the top of the list of places to return.

Yelp
After a year of saying we should check out Everly and glad we finally did. Food was excellent. I recommend the Thai Chicken. Service was excellent as was the ambience. Look forward to returning here soon.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful, industrial ambiance with delicious brunch food and decent service. Everly's chicken and waffle was delicious. The waffle was sweet and substantially heartier than a standard waffle. It paired well with the boneless fried chicken cutlet on top. Would highly recommend it. The veggie scramble was flavorful - not always my experience with veggie scrambles. The fingerlings were perfectly seasoned, crispy and waxy. It was a large plate. We did not get drinks but they sounded tasty. They also had an outdoor patio with heat lamps. Parking: shared lot

Yelp
An interesting menu. At a glance I was frightened into thinking the steak I'd hoped to maybe be ordering was not going to happen because the first items screamed out VEGAN or worse. But I was able to calm my heart when I saw a variety of living breathing protein options. Max the best waiter I've encountered in recent times also suggested some very tantalizing suggestions. One being a sandwich which featured Tikka chicken with a forgotten but intriguing description. My son chose that. It looked great but the kale alongside wasn't appealing looking enough to make me want to taste it or even really look at it. In the light of day or even with proper illumination, I'm sure it was probably an attractive looking plate. My photo might reveal that. I skipped the steak since it was sirloin and I can't think of any reason I'd order sirloin. I'm only willing to buy an expensive steak if it's a cut that is going to make me happy I paid what I see to call a weeks food budget when I was eating raman not because I loved to. Today I love a bowl of cheap packaged raman from time to time. But I have to address that today I know how to make it special. Instead I saw the salmon that had a lot of descriptors that I didn't understand but they added to the allure. Max too didn't know what the word alongside the mushrooms really was. But I was figuring they wouldn't be button or the typical shiitake or Maitaike either. I was pleasantly surprised when the beautiful plate revealed my questions. The mushrooms looked exactly like the Stunzis, a variety of Washington treats I used to pick in the fall in the cow fields. Hallucinogenic these were not. It's been many many decades since I was commissioned by my peers to source the magical varieties, today I am just as confident I could ID the liberty caps, blue ringers and the other two for more advanced inner space explorers. But back to my plate. It was a colorful treat indeed. A purple ish smear across the plate: compote of currants but tasted similar to an intense raspberry jam with huckleberries. Very tart and very rich. The mushrooms, were interesting, certainly tastier than the variety previously mentioned. The Israeli couscous was good, but actually seemed a bit creamier than the way I've made it. The salmon was attractive. It was covered in a charred greenery, savoy? I am uncertain. As a dish. This was wonderful. But the salmon, it was mostly devoid of flavor. Atlantic salmon certainly, but while it had body, the lack of seasoning couldn't be corrected with table salt. I often bring a finishing crystal type of salt but didn't. I should keep some in my car, the habanero sauce is in the glove box. The treat especial was the suggestion Max suggested when I inquired about the cauliflower fundido. He described it and it still surprised me when it was placed on the table. Hands down this was the best decision all night. This alone will bring my repeated patronage to this establishment. It was astounding. Service, as described was stellar. My salmon would itself be a 2 star. But it's presentation was 5+ Andy's dish might've been amazing, but I didn't sneak a taste. The cauliflower was hung, well I just wrote enough a few words back.
google avatar

Jackson W.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and I was impressed with the food. We started off with the roasted carrots and cauliflower fundido. Both were well made and tasted very fresh. For entrée, I went with the Thai-style crispy chicken. The chicken was a tad dry (maybe overcooked a little), but the flavor was good and it came with a sweet thai chili sauce. Overall, I enjoyed the meal.

Yelp
So, my husband and I went here three days in a row. We ate the house burger twice and the chicken sandwich once. We plan to slowly try every item on the menu. The burger & ckn sandwich are moist to perfection, flavor packed, and currently my favorite burgers on the planet! The kale salad is simple with a vinagrette dressing and tiny apple slices that compliment the flavors beautifully. The fries are crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Hungry yet? This place is a must go spot. Friendly, attentive service. We sat both outside and inside and received amazing service -- they turned on several heaters outside (and we were the only ones out at the time) to ensure our comfort. It's a lively, happy environment that is sure to make your face and tummy smile.

Yelp
i came here for brunch in a group of 4 on sunday morning with a reservation! the reservation was easy to make and the vibes inside the restaurant was so lovely & aesthetically pleasing. the service was a bit slow imo and it took a while for even our drinks to come out. for food, we ordered the truffle fries, brunch fried rice and the avocado toast. the potatoes on the avocado toast were LOADED, couldn't even finish them!! i thought the truffle fries were perfectly well done and the aioli sauce to pair was perfect. i did enjoy the brunch fried rice, which made for perfect leftovers the next day. would love to come back to try their dinner menu!

Yelp
Was so hungry this night, I did not have enough self awareness to grab a photo. I had the Thai crispy chicken. It was on the bone (which I wasn't really expecting) but it was fairly good. A nice light meal paired with rice. The restaurant service was quick, attentive, and the ambiance was upscale. I much prefer cento in this restaurant group though. I do recommend the honey mustard chicken sandwich which was rather inventive and good tasting. Not rushing back to try more but it was a fairly nice meal. Although my hunger level before eating may be inflating this review.

Lynne H.

Yelp
We went to Everly's with our daughter -- one of her favorite places. We sat outdoors under the heaters, pleased we could be COVID-cautious and enjoy a good meal. I had the fried chicken sandwich -- best ever! The batter was crunchy and perfectly seasoned, the generous piece of meat both tender and juicy. My pile of fries was large and piping hot and crispy. I also warmed up with good *decaf* coffee -- pleased to find that! The others were happy with their choices, the steak sandwich for one and the salad with fried tofu for the other. And to top it all off, we had very efficient and friendly service from Jenny. She made the whole experience even nicer. Everything came out from the kitchen piping hot; my daughter and I couldn't finish and she brought us to-go boxes. I get to have more yummy crispy chicken tomorrow! Next time we'll save room for dessert -- and hope that Jenny will be our waitress!

Yelp
We came by to celebrate my mom's birthday. The interior is modern and bright with very high ceilings to make the space feel larger. The middle area inside seems a little crammed, so we were happy to be sitting in a booth by the window. There is a small, pretty outdoor patio too. We ordered the truffle fries to start, which were good. For entrées, we ordered the everly grilled cheese (which came with tomato soup), grilled oyster mushrooms vesuvio, and thai-style crispy chicken. We thought the grilled cheese was cooked sloppily and lacked flavor, and same applies for the tomato soup. The oyster mushrooms dish was good but very small. The crispy chicken dish was delicious and I would recommend ordering it - every component of this dish paired well together. My mom got to select a complimentary dessert for her birthday, which was a very kind gesture. She chose the s'mores pie, which was extremely decadent and heavy. Overall the food was good, and our server was kind and friendly!

Yelp
Note: Tuesday evening at almost 6:00pm, need a reservation ahead of time because there's a wait time. Okay got it for next time! Grant was our server and great on service and engaging. All staff we interacted with were also cheerful and helpful. Thanks for making our first time dining awesome! Drinks: Ordered strawberry lemonade, cold brew, and blueberry matcha. All of them were good to great, with me being a little disappointed my blueberry matcha was not blue Appetizer: Thai eggplant and silken tofu was fantastic. Almost wished I had more tofu. Didn't know it was there until I scooped a couple times in the dish. Entrees: Butternut curry was great. I was happy with the tofu portions and crispness on the fry/sear, but the price of the curry plus tofu was almost $20. My kale quinoa bowl was fantastic and they allowed the fried egg to be served on the side so my vegan husband could eat the bowl. Dessert: Lemon parfait was good on the curd, but the puff pastry threw me off. I was hoping for a solid piece of pastry crust, not loose dry flakes. Imagine if it was a tart instead

Yelp
Really fantastic brunch options but be sure to make a reservation or you'll be waiting.

Yelp
We came here for dinner. The decoration is pretty cute here. They had pretty good drinks. For appetizers, we tried the calamari fries. It tasted like fried tofu with no flavors on its own. The sauce did help a bit but the texture was not soft and tender. For entrees, we got chicken tikka masala flatbread and red wine + HERB MARINATED SIRLOIN CAP STEAK. The cut of the steak was a bit hard to cook evenly. I asked for medium rare but due to the cut, some parts were a bit medium well. However, the tamarind sauce was interesting and sweet. I liked it. The potatoes in the steak dish were a bit underwhelmed. They felt a bit mushy. The chicken tikka masala flatbread was full of flavors. They did a great job on that one. Overall, very interesting menu and drinks.

Mr W.

Yelp
Wow. I loved it all; hibiscus lemonade, bean burger, kale salad, everything I sampled from my family's dishes was fresh and creative. Many vegan options which is a must

Yelp
My husband and I have been coming to Everly ever since we moved to Madison. We've never had a bad meal here! They regularly add seasonal items to their menu, so there's always something new to try. Some of our recent favorites are the poke nachos and angel hair pomodoro pasta. The space is very cute, with lots of plants and warm lighting. They also have a covered patio with space heaters outside. Service is always good, and their staff always make sure to ask about allergies before taking our order. We'll keep coming back as long as we're in town!

Jordan E.

Yelp
Great food and friendly service! Went when the patio was open and it was amazing. Have heard that there are long lines on the weekend but no issue getting in on a weekday

Yelp
On a snowy afternoon, I decided to head out for a walk and happy hour. I landed on Everly. I enjoyed the various wines on the list and the price! Half off appetizers, wines, beers and specialty cocktails are all game for happy hour. The space is clean and modern. Grab a seat at the bar or table in the dining area. I was disappointed with the food though. I tried the calamari frites. They were ok but not much flavor and the dipping sauce was ok. They are very filling and more meaty than regular calamari. I decided to order the grilled cheese and soup too. The soup was bland and the grilled cheese was hard to eat because the bread was so thick. Great portions of both. I actually took the other half of the sandwich home for leftovers. Overall the flavors of the dishes I tried didn't stand out but everyone has different taste. It may be a good spot for others.
google avatar

Aliyah C.

Yelp
Ordered to go from Everly and got the So-Cal Grain Bowl. I thought the bowl was great except that the dressing/citrus flavor was too strong at times, and the chicken was dry/unseasoned. I usually prefer my dressings on the side though so it might be a me problem! The dressing helped with the chicken taste though! I really enjoyed the bowl though and would get again!
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking for both traditional and untraditional brunch, great place! Love the brunch fried rice. Their fryers are also gluten free , so great to bring anyone who is gluten free!! Many items are gluten free or can easily be modified.

Yelp
Came here on a relatively busy Saturday night. The space was filled with light and was clean and inviting. Our server was attentive to our needs. The food was good for both myself and my dining partner. I had the chicken tiki masala flatbread, which was excellent, as well as a chai tea. Definitely will come again in the future. The butternut curry has been also strongly recommended by others that I know.

Yelp
New Year's Eve a friend and I dined here and I'm so happy that we did. The menu changed since I last visited and I was kind of upset but I ordered something new. I ordered the Seafood Casarecce which has seared scallops, shrimp, grilled savoy + radicchio, garlic cream sauce and parmesan. To drink I ordered Hola from the other side which is Milagro silver, blood orange, hibiscus, agave, lime. This dish was AMAZING and I have not stopped dreaming about the cream sauce and the scallops. Everything tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. I will order again soon!

Yelp
This place is a good vibes only kinda place. Very chill atmosphere and great food and drinks. I love that they take reservations, especially for brunch. I came here for the first time for Saturday brunch and had a great meal with my friends. I'll be back again.

Yelp
Delicious food and a gorgeous space--might want to check your budget before ordering though. I got a steak and potato breakfast for $18. It was really delicious but a bit pricey. My vegan friend said she was surprised by how many solid options they have for vegan folks! Another friend ordered a blood Mary which was decent but not phenomenal. TLDR; sets a high bar for delicious food, matched with a high price.

Yelp
Our server was nice and the setting on the covered / shaded patio was wonderful on a warm day. They also have an impressive array of radiant heaters on the patio cover/roof so I imagine it would be fantastic on cool days and evenings as well. Unfortunately I just found my meal pretty bland. I ordered the burger medium rare but it came well done. I was in too good a mood to send it back. There's an aioli on it but I didn't find it very flavorful. And though I appreciate they use a wheat bun it was just too dry; perhaps if the burger was rarer it would have made things juicer. The fries too...hand-cut but somehow quite forgettable. It seems they're using good quality ingredients and I always fear that processed and imitation foods and flavors have ruined me for "real" food. The deck seems stacked against nature. But then I think of other quality restaurant meals I've thoroughly enjoyed and this one just didn't stack up. I'm sure we'll return sometime and I'd like to try one of the many meatless options, as this is an area where culinary creativity can really shine (and I can always use more meatless meals!)

Ally B.

Yelp
We had the sweetest waitress and the food is phenomenal!! The truffle fries and the tea braised beef are mouth watering

Estella M.

Yelp
Phenomenal food and service. Pleasant atmosphere. Incredibly accommodating of my annoying dietary needs (GF, DF, egg free). I got the Thai style crispy chicken with kale salad on side and the chocolate mousse dessert. Chicken was so tender. Could eat it everyday!

Yelp
I don't know how I would've survived this pandemic without Everly. Due to frequent visits to elderly family members, my fiance and I have been much stricter than most households when it comes to COVID precautions. Everly's allowed us to continue to socialize with friends with their outdoor dining area, even in single digit temperatures in the winter! Their outdoor seating is a sort of barricade to block out wind from most directions, with heaters above each table. It generally provides ample warmth in the wintertime. They've got a nice variety of food and drinks on their menu. My personal favorites include their truffle fries, sandwiches, and their "generous pour", which is a house special cocktail that changes every month with a portion going to a local charity. Their service has always been great too! I feel bad for our servers on days when we eat outside in really cold weather, but they're always so friendly and check in frequently. They've also been accommodating the times that I made a mistake when scheduling a reservation. Overall, I can't say enough good things about Everly! I just wish they changed their menu more often, but that's my own problem with eating there so often haha.

Yelp
A fabulous place, with excellent food and great service. The. Hickenlooper and waffles are excellent. The others in our party were very pleased with their menu selections. This place is very popular and if you don't call a head for a reservation you maybe waiting for quite awhile .

Yelp
Visited midday on a Saturday to order from their brunch menu. The parking lot is small and was full so we found free street parking in the neighborhood. The environment is casual and hip with both booths and chairs to dine on. From the weekend brunch menu, I ordered the So-Cal Grain Bowl ($14) and added a salmon filet (+$5). My wife ordered the Confit Pork Bagel Breakfast Sandwich ($15) and blueberry matcha latte ($5) to drink. My So-Cal Grain Bowl tasted good, but with the most dominant ingredients being just kale, quinoa, and added salmon, 20 bucks seemed steep for what you get. On the other hand, my wife's pork bagel sandwich, which comes with side of fingerling potatoes, was a very hearty meal and generous portion, especially at that price. We ended up boxing half to go. The only complaints I have and reason I removed one star, pertain to my wife's matcha latte. When she ordered it, she asked our server if he can make it "hot, hot" as we drink our teas pretty hot. He replied that since he will be making the drink, he can do that for her. When the latte came out, it definitely wasn't "hot, hot" or even hot really. It was closer to warm. Second complaint is she ordered the latte with almond milk. No issue with that until the bill came and we noticed a $0.75 upcharge for the almond milk. We don't recall seeing on the menu an upcharge for this nor did our waiter mention it when she ordered. Not a huge deal, we just weren't expecting it. The staff were great. Our server, Trevor, was super friendly and attentive. I recommend giving this eatery a try. I wouldn't order the grain bowl again, but the pork bagel is a must!!

Yelp
Came to town for a quick weekend trip and wanted to try this place out based on the strong Yelp reviews. The parking lot is small, but don't be discouraged as there is street parking in the area. The bread pudding French toast drew me in immediately and I ordered that along with a side of bacon. I love bread pudding and the thought of making French toast out of it sounded like a wonderful idea. Unfortunately, their effort here fell far short of my expectations and I would never order it again. The bread pudding French toast was overly dense, dry, and had a funky, earthy aftertaste. I couldn't quite place the odd aftertaste. It was almost like it was cooked on the same grill as some other food item and the grill was not cleaned. There also was not enough of the syrup. The bacon was wonderful, the right balance of crispness and tenderness. My wife ordered the breakfast burrito and found it to be really good.

Yelp
My husband had been here a few times for work lunches, so when we had a date night he thought that I would like go. I'm glad we did! The ambiance is relaxed with a touch of sophistication. Dim lighting makes for an intimate vibe, and the number of tables echos that. It's definitely a great spot for a cozy date. Our drinks were very tasty -I had the "No Shrubs" and my husband had the Generous Pour, which currently is Petals to the Metal. Each month they feature a special house cocktail and donate to a local cause or charity that's near and dear to the staff. I absolutely love that, such a cool idea. We started with an order of the truffle fries, which were delicious - the truffle aioli and the crispness of the Parmesan were a treat to my tastebuds. For my entree I chose the fried chicken sandwich with kale salad. KFC has nothing on this - it was literally finger licking good! From the buttermilk aioli down to the brioche bun, I finished that sucker off fast. I'm not a huge kale person, but since I had already had some french fries I figured it was best to have a healthy side. It didn't disappoint! The vinaigrette was great. My husband had the Braised Bulgogi short rib, and he finished everything on his plate, so I'd say he was impressed. He's a bit of a beef snob. I'm definitely interested to see what other dishes they rotate in, because I can't wait to be back to try something new!

Yelp
Yes, I am always Leary of restaurants in clean strip malls especially in trendy areas like Monroe street. I read the reviews and decided to just go for it. Happy we did. Loved each and every bite! We walked in on a Sunday at 11:00. Super busy but not a ton of tables. There was bar seating outside BUT there are heaters out there and it was a fun California feel even on a 45 degree day. Sat down and got the veggie/ black bean burger. I always feel like I'm going to get the same thing like you do everywhere BUT this is not the same. Okay, they don't deep fry it but it tastes like they do. Exterior is super crunchy, it stays together when you bite into it and it delivers much protein, beans, quinoa and maybe even some lentils. So dang good! Then the fries okay: fresh cut REAL fries! Nice and crunchy and a little soft where needed. Just a touch of salt. Go for it. This place is not just a pretty exterior!

Yelp
We stopped in for weekend brunch. I'm glad we had reservations as they were busy. Despite the crowd, the staff were very pleasant and kind. At the recommendtion of the server, I ordered the breakfast burrito. It was a delicious combination of scrambled eggs, creamy avocado, Monterey jack cheese, salsa verde and crispy potatoes. It also had bacon and refried black beans. Though those were harder to find they seemed to add to the delicious flavor. I liked that there were a variety of fingerling potatoes, including purple but there were a few too many for me. The salsa verde was so good I asked for extra on the side. They have a diverse menu so it would be nice to try something else on a return visit.

Yelp
We took a niece and her young children - who have numerous food allergies - and we're able to get excellent meals because of the excellent manner in which the menu lists the ingredients. All of the food was well-prepared and tasty and the service was first-rate, too. We have to go back!

Yelp
Great food, menu doesn't change much but food is well executed and diverse. Easy for most people to find something they are interested in eating. Brunch is especially good. Service has been either very good or dismissive, not much in between. When the weather is nice the patio is a lovely place to sit.
