If you're not the adventurous type, stay away. And remember, if you insist on coming in, I warned you. Everybody's Café is an unassuming little place up north in San Fernando, Pampanga. On a nondescript weekend (avoid any out-of-town travel on holidays, trust me!), you'll get here in about an hour and a half from Manila. It's an easy drive for what they say is the "food capital of the Philippines," Pampanga.
There aren't too many items on the menu, but the few dishes they have are more than enough to satisfy any curious cat's appetite. From the flavorful morcon (more, please!) to the intriguing camaro (crickets) that tasted a bit like crunchy sisig without the fatty texture of pork, I had to order a second cup of rice to keep up with the flavor. I came for the camaro, but I think I'll come back for the morcon. Now to figure out how to get them to open a branch in Makati...
