Made a reservation for dinner for our one night in Hornbaek (on our first trip to Denmark) before we even got a hotel.  The owners were so gracious, the dining room was cosy, warm and adorable and the food was amazing, felt both haute but also as though it came out of a (wonderful) home kitchen.  The mushroom toast and the pan fried plaice with oyster sauce, as well as the mullet with cream and noilly prat were fantastic.  Wine selection outstanding.  I can’t recommend strongly enough.
