Made a reservation for dinner for our one night in Hornbaek (on our first trip to Denmark) before we even got a hotel. The owners were so gracious, the dining room was cosy, warm and adorable and the food was amazing, felt both haute but also as though it came out of a (wonderful) home kitchen. The mushroom toast and the pan fried plaice with oyster sauce, as well as the mullet with cream and noilly prat were fantastic. Wine selection outstanding. I can’t recommend strongly enough.

That was one of the best dinner in our life!! Amazing taste, amazing combination, everything fresh and beautifully served. We will come back for sure!

Love this place so much is the best staying experience ever, is like a fairytale theme house, the food is excellent. The rooms are unique and clean, each room have their own theme, love the beach nearby. This location will be always on my buckle list when I travel to Copenhagen😍

Restaurant Review: Recommended to us as the best place to eat in Hornbaek and probably lived up to that. Situated in a reasonably residential area you immediately feel at ease with the homely service and food cooked from the heart, freshly picked or foraged - don't miss out on the mushroom toast that brings all of these aspects together perfectly. On the night we ate, only the outdoor seating option was available so be sure to check if you have a strong preference. All the food was packed with flavour and also nicely presented as you should see from the included photos. Recommend to book as only a small number of covers.

The best restaurant north of Nørrrebro? You be the judge, but Jeff and his lovely family showcase his sommelier heritage and amazing dishes. £ for £ one of the best wine lists you will find in Sjælland, the hand picked mushroom toast is worth the trip alone.

A delicious experience. We absolutely loved our dinner at Ewaldsgaarden. You feel like a special guest at this family-run restaurant. Delicious fresh food, good portions, beautiful presentation, nice wine - all in a really cute and friendly setting. We can’t wait to come back and sit outside in the cozy garden once it gets warmer.

Excellent service and food. Portion sizes are too generous for me but loved by most. Good selection of wine and champagne 🍾 list! As much as I hate to support Google, I’d like to use it to say thank you to the lovely hosts for your marvellous hospitality again.
