Excellence Oyster Bay

We spent our honeymoon at Excellence Oyster Bay in July 2025, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely pampered and cared for by the amazing staff.|The food was incredible everywhere we went — we loved every meal! The hibachi dinner with Carlene was such a fun experience full of laughter and great flavors. Be sure to stop by the Martini Bar and say hi to Christopher, who mixes up the most amazing cocktails. Poolside, Shawn and Hyana kept our drinks flowing and our spirits high all day long.|Our favorite part of the trip was definitely the pool and entertainment — the perfect combination of fun and relaxation. Huge thanks to Rick, Warren, Pauline, and Tomayo for making every day unforgettable with their energy and kindness.|For something extra special, don’t miss dinner on the beach. It was the most romantic evening of our stay, and Johnoy took such wonderful care of us.|Every moment at Excellence Oyster Bay exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a place that blends luxury, fun, and heartfelt hospitality, this is it. We can’t wait to come back in 2026!

I want to start by saying I almost canceled this reservation a number of times, based upon reviews here, on FB, on Reddit. I am so happy we didn't. ||My husband and I travelled in mid-October (pre-hurricane) to the EOB to celebrate our 20th anniversary; it was our first time in Jamaica and first at an Excellence property. We arrived in Montego Bay and connected immediately with our Mobay rep (the $ for the Mobay service is worth it 100%), who escorted us through the process right up through putting us in a car to the resort. ||We were in the Club Level Beach House #3 with a plunge pool, overlooking the beach where we'd watch stingrays in the mornings, birds, and the swaying palms. The upgrade to Club level is worth it just for the the extra restaurants, golf cart service when it's pouring (which it does, but only briefly), and concierge. Magna was closed while we were there, so each morning we'd stroll to Zenith on the other side of the resort, about a 10 minute walk. Every EOB employee we saw, from lifeguards to lawn crews, greeted us with a warm smile and a "good morning!". ||Food was good throughout the resort, nothing amazing, but tasty and plentiful (even for foodies). Standouts were the Hibachi (the only one you need a reservation for), the Jamaican Grove (I dream about that Jerk Pork), and Zenith. If you're a wine person, I suggest bringing your own - there's no good wine that is included, though you can purchase upgraded bottles for an astronomical price. Cocktails at the Excellence Club bars were great, strong, and made fresh. The other bars were good, but the Club ones are standouts. We didn't do any nightly shows except for the Bob Marley tribute, which was 10/10 - absolutely astonishing.||The room was lovely, and the beds were comfortable. The plunge pools were nice, but we really didn't use it much. Loved the bed on the balcony for my afternoon naps while listening to the lapping waves. One thing: do not expect any privacy from your partner while in the room - showers are open to viewing with clear glass, and the toilets are in a separate room, but there is not a seal on the door. You can hear everything. For a couple of 20 years, that's not really a big deal, but I imagine some honeymooners may be a little uncomfortable. ||The absolute highlight of our trip, though, was the staff. Service was efficient, friendly, and overall great. I had heard it would take ages to get anything served at restaurants and room service, but we didn't experience that at all. ||I have to call out the most amazing server at Zenith, Trecel. She went so above and beyond during our stay, welcoming us in the mornings, chatting about the island, and even surprised us the last day of our stay with local hot sauces that she bought herself after we talked to her about what Jamaicans use at home, as opposed to what they serve at the restaurants. She was so friendly and made us feel so special - thank you so much, Trecel! Dwayne and Ricardo at the Excellence Club were also so helpful and made our trip that much better.||Get off the fence and book it. We'll most definitely be back!

Every where you go we have people complaining about their stay at other resorts, though the hotel went through a category 5 hurricane, the heart of the people is what moved me. My wife and I were not scared at all as we were surrounded by people who really cares all the wanted to know if we were okay. Some people lost their homes while trying to give us their all. I truly commend this company. A safe place to sleep, hot meals throughout the storm what more could you ask for? This place will forever be apart of me. Thank you all , you couldn’t have asked for a better team at this resort. To all the staff that ensured we were closed inside the doors were barred in with ply boards and immediately after the storm they started cleaning up. I appreciate you. Job well done

My trip at Excellence Oyster Bay had exceeded my expectations for my wife’s birthday trip. From the moment we arrived we were met with happiness , respect, and hospitality. This is our first resort that offered a safe exclusive part of Jamaica with 2-13 ft gates entering the property with 24/7 security, the resort, and a private beach with only Excellence Resort Guest! Special shout out to Stefon our baggage guy who brought our suitcases to our room, gave us a tour and some tips for my stay! This resort offers a numerous amount of bars and restaurants with delicious food and drinks. Special shout out to Christopher and Jose-Ann at the Martini Bar definitely recommend paying them a visit and asking for them specifically, you won’t regret it 😉 also the guys at the swim up bar Blue they make the best drinks! This resort offers amazing amenities as well with new daily activities everyday. Special shout out to the Excellence Relaxation team, specifically Audrey and Carise! As I write this review now I can still feel the relief of the massage I received. As this was my wife’s birthday trip, the resort gave her the full birthday experience! I would’ve thought the whole resort knew it was her birthday as EVERY worker we met either wished her a happy birthday or sang the actual happy birthday song! It was truly an appreciative gift from the EMPLOYEES of the hotel. I cannot begin to thank all the amazing people and experiences I have had here! I truly cannot wait to visit again! More special shoutouts to Shamoy at the front desk, Valencia wonderful server in multiple restaurants, Cole our photographer for those amazing pictures. Dear Shane and the Excellence Team,||||I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for the amazing experience we had during our stay at the resort. From the moment our driver dropped us off at the front entrance to our ride in the “red Rolls-Royce” golf cart, to the Excellence Club Lounge, restaurants, shows, room service, spa, and bars—everything and everyone was simply exceptional.||||A special thank you to the young lady who noticed I had left my fanny pack containing our passports, credit cards, and cash at the Caribbean restaurant during lunch. She promptly turned it in to security, and they returned it to me while we were dining at the same restaurant later that evening. Her honesty and attentiveness truly exemplify the resort’s commitment to guest care.||||As this trip was a special occasion to celebrate my husband’s birthday, I also want to express my sincere appreciation to the attendant at the Excellence Club check-in who listened to my feedback regarding our experience at the Lobster House. She kindly shared that she would relay our concerns to the restaurant manager. We didn’t expect a follow-up, so it was a wonderful surprise when Shane called our room and went above and beyond to make our evening extraordinary.||||Your thoughtful gesture of reserving a table for us at The Grill and arranging for lobster tails to be brought over from the Zenith made all the difference. The lobster tails, steak, and duck sliders were absolutely delicious, and the staff singing “Happy Birthday” to my husband was the perfect finishing touch.||||While we shared our feedback simply to help improve future guest experiences—and because of the wonderful time we’d previously had in Punta Cana—you and The Grill team far exceeded our expectations. You truly rolled out the red carpet and gave us a night we still talk about to this day.||||Thank you again to you and the entire staff for creating such a memorable and meaningful experience. Excellence Oyster Bay far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely focused on making my stay unforgettable. The food was incredible — every meal, from casual bites to fine dining, was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The variety and quality were unmatched, making dining one of the highlights of the trip. The amenities were just as impressive. The pools, beach, and spa were immaculate, and every detail of the resort was thoughtfully designed for comfort and luxury. Combined with the outstanding service, the atmosphere felt truly special. Excellence Oyster Bay delivers on every promise of a luxury vacation, and I can confidently say I will 100% be back.

I really did love the resort. The staff are truly amazing! The entertainment side really fell short for us considering it was very empty. It was dry. There was no Jamaican culture involved at all. We have traveled to multiple resorts on different occasions in Jamaica and while this beat them all by far, the entertainment area is not even in the competition. I would definitely visit again. We brought family there to visit as well on day pass. I just hope that it picks up and caters to Jamaica more so people see Jamaica more. I feel like everything we did was and can be found easily on Google. The experience of excellence was EXCELLENT. The entertainment, not good.

Absolutely Incredible Stay at Excellence Oyster Bay! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel like VIPs — warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. Check-in was a breeze, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our requests with genuine smiles. The resort itself is stunning — pristine beaches, luxurious rooms, and world-class dining. Every detail was thoughtfully curated for relaxation and indulgence. We can’t say enough about the hospitality and the level of service throughout our stay. Truly a slice of paradise — we’ll definitely be back!
