Excelsior Hotel Gallia, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Milan

Wow, the service from everyone at the hotel is amazing. Beautiful hotel, excellent gym and spa. Big rooms with turndown. Amazing views the central train station. The breakfast buffet is excellent with excellent service. You feel like royalty. One of my favorite thing was The buffalo milk yogurt, i never want to have any other type of yogurt.

Fabulous hotel that is part of the Marriott Bonvoy Luxury collection. We were upgraded on our first two nights and out last night on our way home. The rooms are spacious and wonderful with lots of amenities. The service in the hotel was outstanding! The entire staff were attentive, from guest services, the front desk, the concierge and the front door men. They brought us everything we requested without hesitation. I loved having coffee in the room every morning before going downstairs for an amazing hotel breakfast. The breakfast is definitely worth it over the points. We will definitely come back to this hotel. We highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel boasts an unparalleled location, conveniently situated right next to Milano Central station. The staff is incredibly helpful, from the front desk to the restaurant and bar. I was upgraded to a premium room, but unfortunately, my stay was far from peaceful. While Marriott brand beds are usually a highlight, this one had some issues. Every morning, I woke up with severe back pain, and it persisted for both mornings. Initially, I thought I had caught a cold and couldn’t comprehend why I was in pain. However, after careful consideration, I realized it wasn’t a sickness and didn’t mention it to the staff, which I now regret not doing. I genuinely wish my stay had been restful, as it would have made a significant difference in my overall experience and my trip.

The hotel is magnificent. The rooms are big, clean and luxurious. The staff are so friendly, from front desk outside, front desk inside, breakfast staff and room service staff- they are all nice and helpful. I checked-in twice this week and both reservations are well organized. They even have some welcome treats. I recommend this hotel and its worth the price. Location is safe and area is so bright.

We stayed at this hotel twice during our 10 day trip to Italy. The staff here are top notch - from the restaurant servers who were wonderful and attentive to my son, to the front desk and valet staff, who were so warm and welcoming. The location is perfect for going to/from the train station (across the street) and they provide a free shuttle to and from the city center, which is helpful since it’s a bit far from the main attractions. As a Marriott elite member, they also provided a wonderful upgrade to the the rooms and delicious welcome gifts. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed there at the end of August 2025. The location right by Milan’s Central Station is super convenient, and the staff were friendly and professional. ||Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Decor and tech felt a bit old though. ||Breakfast was tasty with lots of choice!||The spa and gym were great, but unfortunately the steam bath and whirlpool weren’t working during our stay.||The free shuttle to the city center is a big plus. ||Overall, it’s an elegant hotel with great potential, though it could benefit from a bit of modernization, as its age is starting to show. But all in all, we enjoyed our stay.

I was in Milan only for one night before an early morning flight departure. With that I didn’t have time to try the amenities / food of the hotel but the upgraded suite for a platinum bonvoy member was sooo comfortable and spacious. The location of the hotel is also amazing next to the Central Statjon, offering direct train access to the airports as well as locally and other parts of the country. They also offer a shuttle every 40 minutes to the center which i didn’t try but a nice addition.

My daughter and I recently stayed at the Excelsior Hotel Gallia in Milan and enjoyed the guest service experience from the staff. What sets a five star hotel apart is not just the room, decor and food options, but most importantly the attentiveness of the staff. We experienced this special care at Excelsior Hotel Gallia from Belina, who delivered our dinner via room service. She was polite, friendly and very attentive. Upon noticing that I had ordered the incorrect bottle of water, natural instead of sparking, she offered to exchange it immediately. I felt bad as it was my fault, but she was gone and back quickly. She made sure everything was to our satisfaction beyond the food and checked if we needed anything else that evening. That was going beyond her regular duties. We really appreciated Belina's hospitality and service. The rest of the staff reflected similar friendliness and care. Moments like these make one want to come back.|With gratitude to Belina and the dining staff!

Very well located hotel, with great elite recognition and outstanding breakfast. Overall I highly recommend this hotel, but my one small bit of feedback would be for them to continue focusing on maintaining the condition of the rooms. Given that it is a historical hotel I think some wear and tear is reasonable, but there some small details in the bathroom that could have used a little more attention to detail. That being said we loved the signature suite we stayed in, with two balconies sprawling over the plaza and the hotel entrance were really cool. The art deco themes throughout the common areas and the room were really neat (including a vintage fendi couch). The pool and spa area is also impressive with a virtual golf simulator. For Marriott loyalists, this is certainly the place to stay. The amenities also smell really good.

Superb hotel that rewards loyalty. Exclusive in room service. Apartment sized suites that provide ample room to spread out and work while not I riding upon your rest time. Multiple bars, restaurants and amenities throughout the property. Views of the city from the rooftop bar. Every detail is attended to. Free breakfast for Platinum and above guests. Superb offerings. Located across the street from the Milan Centrale train station. Great jumping off point. Metro station gets you to Duomo in 12 minutes for 2€. Amazing stay.

We stayed at this location only one night and spent less than 16 hours here due to a flight change inflicted on us by British Airways, but the experience was top-tier. We stayed in an Executive Suite, which was as spacious and luxurious as the pictures would indicate. The shower had overhead and a wall mounted heads, something I've grown accustomed to at home, which had outstanding pressure and is easily large enough for two. The king bed was comfortable and we appreciated the easily accessible array of ports for plugging in media devices. This was the end of a spectacular two week tour of four cities, Milan, Bologna, Florence, and Venice, so we were exhausted and happy to enjoy dinner in the room watching movies. It was very easy to plug my iPad Pro into the media bay via HDMI port for viewing on the 55" TV. Oddly enough, the incredibly nice built-in soundbar wouldn't work at all. The closet area is in the entryway to the room. It's spacious and looks super convenient, but we never even unpacked. Our bags were opened on the floor, knowing we'd have to leave so soon. We did get to enjoy the Mercato Centrale Milano, which is in the train station immediacy across the street from the Hotel. It very much reminded us of our own Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia, which is about as high as compliment as a Philadelphian can pay to such a place, as RTM is magical and is something any Italian is likely to enjoy. We loved the Mercato Centrale, spending hours there enjoying lunch, drinks, and incredible people watching. If you're staying at the Excelsior, you have to check out the Terrazza Gallia Bar & Restaurant on the rooftop. The interior is gorgeous, but we headed straight to the terrace to enjoy the views of the train station and the square. It was November, so it was a bit chilly, but the mounted IR heat lamps warmed things up and blankets were available upon request. If you're looking for a 5-star hotel in Milan, the Excelsior Hotel Gallia is definitely worth consideration. It's a truly impressive historic structure that has been impeccably maintained and all of the details you expect in a 5-star experience are present. Lastly, the staff was incredible. Whatever you need, they're there and are happy to help. From the check in, to the staff at the restaurant, everyone was helpful and greeted us with a smile. Well done.

The trip really couldn't have been better. Very lovely room. Quiet, well appointed and very comfortable. It was a welcomes sanctuary in the hustle and bustle that is Milan. Very centrally located we chose this place not only due to its rating, but also it proximity to the Milano Centrale train station. We used this as our home base for over a week to explore the region. The service was above expectations. Very attentive, very sincere,a do very effective. They sent a nice chocolate cake with a bottle of champagne to our room as our welcome gift. Wow! Very appreciated. As a Marriott e Leite, I chose the breakfast as the welcome amenity. Wow, oh wow! Highly recommend. It was more than ample. In fact, we ate breakfast and then didn't eat again until dinner each night. I truly can't speak highly enough of this place. Every interaction with every employee was polished and professional. I would return here any time and really live it up. I highly recommend you do the same should you go to Milan. Splurge a little.

Loved everything about this hotel. Definitely 5 ! If you are coming in from MXP Airport or other cities in Italy, the hotel is literally across the street from the main train station of Milano Central. The hotel also offers a free complimentary shuttle service to take you & pick you up from the middle of the city center near Duamo di Milano. If you end up staying out later, it's OK, because you can just purchase subway tickets opposed to calling a taxi and paying more since it's near Milano Central. The staff is super exceptional and customer service is great! Also noticed the hotel cleaning crew not only cleans your room once, but twice a day. Every time, they stocked the room with comp waters and provided free chocolates as well. For food options, there is the Milano Central Mercado that is located right next to the train stations. They have over 15 restaurants you could choose from to eat.

If you're American this place is a no go!!! Built for Asians, service terrible, and heaven forbid you leave something behind. Total scam, back to Hilton how bad this so called Marriott property is....

The Excelsior Hotel Gallia was a stopover point for us in Milan from Switzerland enroute to Venice on our recent trip to Europe. The hotel is located across from the beautiful Milano Centrale train station and convenient to the Duomo and other key points in Milan. The Excelsior Hotel Gallia is beautiful with a very baroque exterior and modern interior. Service here from beginning to end and in between is on point and impeccable. We arrived about 1pm , were checked in quickly to our corner suite on one of the top floors and bags delivered shortly thereafter. In our suite, which was lovely, were complimentary bottled sparkling and still waters, a bottle of sparkling wine, chocolates, and a basket of fruit and cheeses were delivered shortly after our arrival. Immediately the smell of piped in Versace parfum almost overwhelms you in the room; this seems to dissipate as the evening comes, but at first, I thought we may have to request a different room, as I found it almost nauseating. The suite had a unique 'sliding wall' that closed off the bedroom to the sitting area that featured the statue of David. We loved it! The bathroom was heavily marbled and the windows were floor to ceiling and went all the way around the suite. The bed was very comfortable with luxury linens. Aqua di Parma bath products seem to be the norm in Italian Luxury Collection hotels and I love that! There was also a turndown service with chocolates and your LC slippers placed bedside and waters on your nightstand. The entrance way is where the closet is and that was a bit odd but that is such a 1%er complaint! There is a Shiseido Spa here and if I had more time, I would have def made an appointment as I love Shiseido! We loved having sunset drinks on the Rooftop Terrazza Bar which is amazing with an amazing staff! The Terrazza Restaurant happens to have the menu consulted by the 3 Michelin Starred Cerea Brothers so you will have your palate satisfied and your pocket book slashed. No worries, there are notable restaurants near the hotel that aren't so swanky and within walking distance. We decided to use the hotel car to tour the Duomo rather than do the 20 min walk in the heat. There are two cars: A Maserati!!! And a Mercedes .. So if you pick up any high fashion at the Gucci or Fendi fashion houses in the Galeria after the Duomo, at least you have a stylish car to arrive back at the stylish address in! We opted to have small plates in the beautiful rooftop bar and take all the sights in at this lovely hotel and order house made gelato to our suite while having espresso from the Nespresso machine that is in every room here. The breakfast was one of the best we had in all of our 4 country Europe vacation and part of an Ambassador 'perk' under the Marriott Bonvoy program. I highly recommend this over the 1000 points. You can have Prosecco to go with your full on made to order Florentine eggs! The buffet is to die for and the Italian cappuccinos are as they should be! There was one issue here -- we were awakened by a fire alarm that advised us to vacate our room through the fire exits --- aka using the stairways. This alarm went off early and went off multiple times so we believed it and got up-got dressed and went ALL the way down the stairwells to the lobby .. WHERE we found nothing. We asked the bell man who sort of chuckled that it was a 'false alarm'. SO our question was why didn't anyone then say it was a false alarm??? FREE exercise early in the am courtesy of the Hotel Excelsior! I needed that cafe and I really needed that Prosecco! I would fault them more for it but everything else was so on point -- it would be hard to. Lovely, and amazing hotel!

A friend and I were looking for something to eat and bumped into this jam. Probably the best pizza I had in a while. The fresh burrata and the smoked sausage blended in just perfectly on one of our pizzas. Excellent place to sit down and have lunch or dinner, overlooking Lake Como.

Electrical power does not work in bathroom, nor does the internet service work. Not what I expected from this caliber of hotel. Very disappointing.

Staying at this beautiful historic looking (on the outside) absolutely gorgeous and contemporary (on the inside) hotel. Gracious and friendly front desk staff, clean establishment! Very important to me! Breakfast atmosphere was nice and quiet. I enjoyed an egg omelette with pancake and green tea. Omelette and tea were both delicious, pancake not so much. Did some sightseeing within the hotel, bar and rooftop restaurant were both very busy, but welcoming. Finally, although expensive, my room is clean! And delightful. Also, we are across the street from the main train station so walking distance from wherever you want to go.

I thought it would be cool to stay somewhere that was close to the train station to be able to walk and do things nearby and also get out of time with the train being so close. I had brought extra bags just in case and thought it would be smart to ship some of my luggage. I went downstairs to concierge and explained I wanted my bags shipped, I wrote down all information and when it came time to pay and declare value, I was told that I shouldn't put the value of the items., or there wasn't a need to. It's been 9 months and I haven't received one of my items of luggage, I currently have an investigation with FedEx but because I'm not the one who shipped, it has been denied and left to the hotel that hasn't done anything about it. They have the whole incident on film and instead of me being able to recoup some of the lost with my value. I have not received a dime of what I spent on taxes, items, or shipping. Being the only person of color there and that I haven't had a phone call with anyone at the hotel. I will never be retuning.

I have done several stays at the Excelsior Gallia and the staff, service and level of quality is always impeccable. Alejandra at the Shesiedo Spa assistance and personal service always stands out for me. She is warm and kind and always makes sure my experience at the rooftop pool is relaxing. She even inspired me to book a spa date for myself and boyfriend and the experience was more than I could have ever expected. I plan to make a personal spa treatment part of my routine when I visit. It's nice to have the Gallia as a second home when I'm Milano

Beautiful hotel and great location! We stayed because it was next to the train station and made it convenient to use the train as we were spending time in other cities! Staff was kind and welcoming! Luca at Concierge was Amazing at helping with restaurants, information and Covid testing!

We stayed here for 5 nights just before the New Year. Overall we had a fantastic stay!! When we arrived there was a slight hiccup with the front desk regarding a pre-arranged billing that was not communicated to the front of the house. It took some time but we were able to sort it out. I did a bit a research on Tripadvsor before booking and really glad we selected our room type - Excelsior Room Our room had nice size balcony overlooking Milan Central station. The view is beautiful in the evening when the lights were lit up. The room itself was very spacious, with a large bathroom (double sink) and a tub. The shower pressure was mediocre so we relied on the handheld shower for stronger water pressure. We enjoyed the hotel amenities. The gym is small but well equipped. The bonus was the car service to city center was very convenient. Alessandro was stellar. We loved the Terrace Bar. The drinks were delicious and service impeccable. The concierge and the front desk staff were super helpful! We departed a little after 4am on NYE and didn't have any issues with pre-arranged taxi. Overall, we enjoyed this gorgeous hotel and would stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful property. Great staff. Location isn't perfect but they price the rooms accordingly. Big beautiful modern rooms. A lovely terrace bar. A cigar room. Nice gym. I really enjoyed this hotel. I've stayed at several of the top places in Milan and this is every bit as good... except for the location. Don't get me wrong, the location actually isn't bad, especially if you are coming in by train. There just isn't a ton to do within a 5-10 minute walk... if you're willing to walk 15-20 minutes then you can hit the main drag. The great thing is the hotel must realize that and prices accordingly. You can get a top-notch hotel for a lot less than the places right in the city center. Had a quick stay but was upgraded to a suite - go Bonvoy. Really enjoyed this place and will absolutely be going back.

This is a great, relatively new hotel very convenient to the train station and business district in Milan. It's a bit far away from the duomo and castello (2-2.5 miles) but I revelled in taking long walks to and from those spots and of course getting some gelato when needed. The staff is professional and polite, the rooms nicely appointed and the spa was modern. If you are staying in Milan and dont need to be right in the middle of everything, this is an excellent choice

So happy to return to the Excelsior Gallia in the Milan. We stayed here for 3 nights September 10-13. This was not our first stay (see previous review). When we found ourselves returning to Milan, the choice was easy. Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to its 5 STAR reputation. I booked an Excelsior room months in advance; I'm also a Marriott Platinum Premier Elite member. SPG and Marriott finally integrated to one system early August. My accounts were linked/merged, and my reservation showed up in my app under my Marriott Rewards #. The first indication something wasn't right is when we checked in. While I was promptly greeted, I was not recognized for my Platinum Status, no upgrade offered, and the agent was quick to point out that breakfast was not included in the rate. I mentioned that I was a Platinum member and wanted daily breakfast as my amenity. I was told that my status was not showing on the reservation. Once he entered my number, my status was recognized and was handed a voucher to show at breakfast. He was also quick to point out that perhaps my rewards number dropped off due to the systems integration. I asked that now he had my correct status if any upgrades were available, I was told no. Not a very good customer experience.We were in room 414. A nice room, just like the excelsior room we had prior minus a small patio. There was a beautiful cake on a silver platter for our anniversary. This was a very nice gesture and greatly appreciated. Things went downhill or downstream the next morning. In less than 5 minutes in the shower, the shower water had flooded halfway through the bathroom. I was able to pop the filter off the drain and guide the water with my foot towards it, but it was backed up. The smell was terrible. It smelled like something foul was in there. I quickly finished and grabbed every towel - all beyond saturated with water. I quickly called to report the problem and ask for more towels. Maintenance came and said they needed to pour some acid down the drain and that would take care of it. After waiting 20 plus minutes, Same thing. It was not fixed.Prior to leaving for our day, we spoke to Chiara (sorry for misspelling) at the front desk to report the issue. She was very apologetic and professional. She told us she would get on it right away and give us an update later in the day. Later that afternoon, Chiara called and said they are not able to fix it, and the room was not operable. She said she had the Signature Suite available for us when we returned for our last 2 nights.Chiara walked us up to personally check us in the room.The Signature Suite located on the 5th floor is beautiful. Living room, sitting chairs, separate bedroom, his and her closets, makeup area separate from bathroom, one large bathroom and a smaller one in the hallway. Two separate Patios - one off the bedroom, one off the living room. The first night, I decided to have a bath. The first 10-15 seconds of turning on the faucet, the water was a light brown/rust color. The bathroom also has a musty smell. Our last night, I was awakened by a loud noise that came from the bathroom. In the morning, I was greeted by a puddle of dirty water on the floor and the vent from the Ceiling was on the floor. It had fallen from the wall with a surge of water. We couldn't believe it. 2 rooms, similar experiences.Facilities were great as last time. This is why we returned. I would also like to recognize Marcello in the breakfast room. We enjoyed seeing him again on this visit. He is a true professional and all about the customer experience. Sorry Excelsior, Love the property, but this was not a good customer experience. In fact - I never heard from any member from management regarding the issues and the inconveniences we experienced. How could a guest be checked into a room where the bathroom was inoperable? Surely this was not a new issue, with a backup this severe, there had to have been some prior reports. We do look forward to a future stay and hopefully more of a 5 Star experience.

This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at hands down. You know how when you are in Abercrombie, it constantly smells like they are pumping their cologne and perfume through the vents? Yeah same here but it smells like roses and flowers. This hotel is beautiful. It was recently remodeled and yeah they did a great job. The staff were attentive, the concierge had thoughtful recommendations to eat and drink and the amenities were out of this world. They had a hotel MASERATI that would just drive you to the duomo and back if you wanted to see it. Like what? It was nuts. The breakfast was awesome, they left wine and a welcome plate of food in my room when I arrived,and they upgraded me to a better room when my room wasn't ready upon check in. I should have checked what kind of bed they had because it was one of the better sleeps I have ever had in a hotel. Truly a 5 star experience.

Great stay. The room is a little small but the hotel more than makes up for it. It isn't cheap but you get what you pay for. The free maserati service to the city center is a great touch. The gym was also better than your average gym. This hotel has it all. The breakfast is top class and had pretty much any option you could think of. The service was also great. I would stay here again.

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!!! Felt like royalty staying at the Excelsior in Milan!! Besides the amazing views and rooms the service highly exceeded my expectations. They are too much when it comes to customer satisfaction but I completely loved my stay. We stayed in the premium smart suite with the view of Milano Centrale. I was welcomed with assorted fresh fruits. Each smart room is designated to accommodate your every needs, needs I never knew I had. For example, button next to my bed to turn off the bathroom lights (wow) and the "do not disturb" button instead of the old fashion paper hanging at the door knob. We need this in every hotel room, hey I need his in my home jaja. The concierge is always ready to provide recommendations, which they did offer great restaurant and bar suggestions. The daily breakfast is also very amazing, a variety of cheeses and breads including omelette a la carte. Please try the restaurant at the roof top, the food is to die for. Thank you excelsior for such an amazing experience on my first time visit to the city of fashion!

I'm a glutton for luxury. To keep our first euro trip together "economical" my husband booked this luxury hotel. Amazing. On par with Shangri-la of London, The Setai in Miami Beach. Very modern, meticulous, great amenities. Most of the time the hotel staff is dressed better than I. Every delicious and crisp detail expected of Milan is surpassed here. Enjoy modern luxury-- splurge and book this place. Trust me, if the Shisedo spa access isn't enough to tempt you, and the convenience of the train station doesn't do it, you cannot be helped. ever. Did I mention they have a cozy cigar lounge and swank terrace bar and restaurant? I'm there now, enjoying it .

This is maybe the nicest hotel we've stayed at during our trip to Italy, and my main goal was only to aways stay near the train/metro station. It is literally across the street from Stazione Centrale in Milan. I'm looking at the station from a top floor suite right now because it's raining and all curtains are open and it's very pretty. It's decorated in a modern yet throwback to the forties and feels very great Gatsbyish. I read that it was very recently renovated by architect Marco Piva and that writer immediately thought Fitzgerald would approve as well. The hotel was packed this week so they upgraded us to a suite and gave us a very nice view of the piazza. It's very old and beautiful on the outside (the large plaque on building says Hotel Gallia rather than Excelsior which made us walk right by at first) but it's very modern and perfectly maintained inside. The check in time is 3 pm but we did have a bit of a wait because the hotel is at capacity. We watched an American throw a fit over this and there were eight hotel hosts pretending not to speak English, but they giggled when he left. Americans do take everything much more seriously than the Italians, we need to relax a bit more, and this hotel is a very nice place to relax. Also, it's scented. I think Gardenia comes out of the air vents in the lobby. Once we were officially checked in, our room was impressive, the lights were motion activated, there were a million iPhone/Mac docking stations, marble floors and turn-down service came like clockwork, while I look forward to them for the cookies they bring, I've never fully understood why a grown up would need this but this hotel earns its five stars completely.

Great hotel, rooms are updated and modern, service excellent, breakfast is standard fair, dining rooms, lounges, lobby are avant-garde modern, heavy on marble and mirrors. Rooms are nicely appointed with modern bathrooms. Location is extremely convenient right across from the Milan central train station so great if you are arriving by train or planning day trips. Downside is also that train station is right there so you have the "grunge" that comes with that, the the hotel is set back across a row of trees and small streets, literally going from NY Penn station stress to a row of Rolls, Lambos and rare Ferrari's by going a few yards away, talk about extremes of inequality. Hotel has 2-3 Maserati sedans and drivers that will do frequent runs to the shopping area and Duomo, and pickup from there, so you can call the hotel rather than Uber. The walk from hotel to Duomo is doable for walkers, but a bit much in the summer heat, about 20 minutes. In our experience, the hotel Maserati Service came faster than Uber most of the time. Will stay here again.

This hotel rocks, the Gallia won me over, in many ways. By adding the more South-facing wing and completely renovating the whole complex, Sheraton has built an impressive (and massive) landmark steps away from Stazione Centrale, you can roll off your comfortable bed and be sitting on the Malpensa Express in 3 minutes. Unless you're considering indulging on breakfast, which won't disappoint in terms of options and freshness of the ingredients. Not very different from a high-end Westin, but that's no trifling reference point to start with. This hotel must have been the interior decorator dream, the ambiance reflects an artistic, modern flair that permeates the whole building, in a consistent and yet functional way. Yes, you have marble everywhere and reflecting surfaces, and a different design for each pair of elevators, but you also have smart lighting, embedded plugs, dials, outlets and whatnot to control every technological aspect of your room. As soon as you step out of bed, the courtesy lights switch on, you don't even have to press a button. If you want to connect your laptop, you have an HDMI outlet for the most demanding techies. And if you're running on a treadmill, you can browse Youtube from the attached screen. A rewarding experience across the board. Couple of things I didn't like. No ironing board in the room, ostensibly by law. The Hilton next door has them, I'd say it's just a ruse to have you pay to iron your shirts. If you do pay for the laundry service, you're probably going to pony up 50% more than in any other hotel. Finally, the gym is excellent, but the range of dumbbells is way too limited. The restaurant promises to be excellent, but it's still under construction, and so is the SPA (bound to open in April '15). All in all, a deserved Yelp 5 stars for a legit 5-star hotel. It's beautiful inside and outside, it's functional, it's a modern experience not easily found elsewhere in Milan.

Very nice hotel with new, modern facilities and good food. The location adjacent to the Central train station is a huge plus for those arriving/ leaving by train. Quite a few amenities and services are included in the price making for good value for money. As part of the Starwood hotels, nice to be able to get points for my stay.

This hotel is insane. Got to stay here while the BF was in town for work. The location cannot be beat. Took the train straight to Milano Centrale and walked into the hotel. The rooms are great. What I loved about it is that when all the lights are off and you need to go to the bathroom, the nightlights turn on!! BY THEMSELVES! Also, the shower is an overhead rain shower, can't beat that. There's also a doorbell which I loved. The housekeepers ring the doorbell instead of banging on the door. Service is top notch and location can't be beat. Definitely recommend it.

This is one of the BEST, most AMAZING, and absolutely BEAUTIFUL hotels I've ever stayed in. Everything, and I mean everything about this hotel is perfection and well thought out! Here's a list of reasons why: Modern, beautiful, classy. EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE. Fantastic customer service. Location, location, location. Located right next to the train and metro station so you can walk out of the hotel and catch a ride anywhere. Complimentary Maserati shuttle service into the city center and shopping mall. Food is excellent everywhere. Restaurant, room service or bar food, amazing. Bed- extremely comfortable!!! Luxury bedding. Nespresso coffee maker in the room. Complimentary water bottles, all day everyday. Now let's talk bath and body.... best shampoo, conditioner and bath soaps hands down. They use a high end products. Shame on all the other 5 even 6 start hotels for using anything less. High quality blow dryer and magnifying mirror with light. Ladies, you know how annoying it is to have to use a crappy blow dryer. The blow dryer in this hotel was better than my personal blow dryer which costs $150. Or how annoying it is not to have good lighting for makeup. -The lighting in the bathroom give you life. The shower has a rainfall shower head and a hand held one too if you just want to wash your body. A bidet 2 sinks in the bathroom. Shiseido spa, only one in all of Italy Awesome rooftop bar and lounge And last but not least, gym has great equipment and a lap size pool. They also provide, complementary sparkling bottled water and regular bottled water, protein bars and apples. If this place was in states, I'd never stay anywhere else. Thank you Hotel Gallia!

No complaint. Perfect. Staff professional and friendly. Rooms perfect, felt like home. Very good gym and spa. The scent of the hotel was super nice. Restaurant was also reallllly good, also the room service No negative comments at all. We loved our stay:)

This hotel is heaven on earth! The rooms are exceptional, quiet, with air conditioning that works great! The bed is superb, bathroom is fabulously appointed with rain shower, hand wand, heated towel rack ! The staff is second to none.. they greet guests by name, see that your requests are attended to promptly. Outstanding gym, spa with steam, dry sauna, salt rooms, virtual golf, and lap pool, not to mention any spa service you could want done by the best professionals! Do not look any further, this is the BEST HOTEL in Milan !

Came here on honeymoon using spg points. Was definitely worth the stay. Friendly staff, well kept hotel, good size rooms and great location to the Milan central train station. Right across the street. Great a la Carte (although had to pay for that out of pocket). Only complaints is the massive amount of bird droppings right outside the main entrance, which a few days later they seemed to be pressure washing away.

Loved the hotel and attention to detail. They have a Maserati car service to take you out where you want to go during the day and at night. Loved the bar downstairs they give you an aperitif tray when you order drinks! Delicious and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The work out center was amazing and had protein bars and waters and the sauna and steam room area was great! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Good hotel. Ideal location opposite Milano Centrale station. Nice breakfast spread. Free drops to Duomo at your whim and fancy. Staff willing to go backwards and bend a knee for you. Loved the dinner at their terrace restaurant (baby pig and deconstructed tiramisu were lovely), extensive wine list and spot on recommendations. Late night pasta dinner and impeccable room service added to the charm of the place. Deducting one star as room rate for second night was higher then first night (pre informed by hotel while booking)

This beautifully decorated hotel will not disappoint. The hotel staff are friendly and offer top notch service. I highly recommended this property. The hotel has a 24 hour gym with top quality Technogym equipment which will meet the needs of most gym fanatics. Centrally located and close to the train station and the business district it is an ideal choice for business travellers or those making a short stay in Milan.

This hotel EXCEEDED expectations. From the valet, concierge, front desk, housekeeping, drivers everyone was so helpful and friendly. I traveled with my husband and one year old and each time we were going or coming, they helped us with the stroller. It was my husband's 30th birthday and not only did they prepare a cake for him on short notice but they decorated the room to surprise him. Service was superior. The hotel is gorgeous and so accommodating. I simply have no complaints at all. Thank you Gallia for showing my family such impeccable service. You all made our first experience to Italy a memorable one!

We had a wonderful stay and were pampered beyond! I would go again and highly recommend. Great, central location, a gorgeous, unique, unparalleled experience in every way!

On June 5th I booked one night at this hotel through Travelocity for $750 for the end of September. Less than 24 hours later (117 days prior to the reservation) I realized I had made a mistake and would not be able to include a night in Milan in our travel plans. Travelocity said the hotel's policy was "no refunds" but since it was within 24 hours of booking, she thought it would be a reasonable request and would call the hotel. She did and was told they would refund the $750. Travelocity requested an email confirmation which the hotel said they would provide. A day later, Travelocity had not heard from the hotel, called back, and was told there would be no refund. If this hotel is so uncompromising about this situation you might want to think twice about how intractable they might be about any problem or special request if you stayed there.

LOST MY GARMENT BAG WITH MY FUR COAT I used to frequent this hotel often during my work trips to Fashion Week, NEVER AGAIN. Earlier this year I had arrived at the hotel from a flight, stepped out of my taxi and the baggage attendant began to take my things out of the car. I checked in, got to my room and received my bags, only to realize that my garment bag was MISSING from the items. After speaking to the manager they were "unable to locate my garment bag", and after inspecting the surveillance camera footage it appears that they never removed it from the cab! So basically, some random, scummy taxi driver gave all my clothes to his crusty wife... great. YOU HAD ONE JOB HOTEL GALLIA The experience was especially upsetting because inside that garment bag was a gorgeous Gucci fur coat worth over $10k, only a few were made in the US and it was completely irreplaceable. In addition, a beautiful pair of silk pants, a Le Copains fur vest and a few other items that were my most special and valuable wardrobe pieces, which is why I had hand carried them in a garment bag. You want to know what they did for me? The manager accompanied me to the police station to file a report, and offered me a complimentary Campari spritz as compensation. A SPRITZ? ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME? I should have been offered a block of free stays, a massage at the spa, a hand written apology note for this massive mistake. NOT LUXURY, NOT PROFESSIONAL, NOT TO BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR POSSESSIONS. STAY ELSEWHERE... go to the Park Hyatt, better service, cooler bar and better location anyway.

Amazing service and quality. I also stayed here 14 years ago and it was great then but even better now as its has been totally remodeled. The staff is amazing and go above and beyond. They even have two complimentary Maserati sedans to take you around town and pick you up .

I feel like this place deserves more than the five-star maximum. AMAZING. Really top-notch. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The beds and linens are dreamy. Love the Trussardi brand toiletries they provide as well. The complimentary Maserati shuttle service to the city center is an awesome perk. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and I'm still dreaming about the croissants (best I've ever had and I've had A LOT) and the cold cut and cheese spread there. I would go back there in a heartbeat.

Great hotel, stayed here for a week and it was definitely a pleasure to come back to every night. Very conveniently located, you can take a train from the airport directly to the train station and then you just cross the street and you are right there. Pretty much everything worth seeing in Milan is a 10 minute ride on the subway. And the train station has direct entrance to the subway + there are always taxis in front of it..so it's very conveniently located. Hotel is stunningly beautiful, just renovated, so everything is in tip top shape. Perfect service. Rooms are very modern, had all the latest gadgets. The views were very nice as well. All the lighting is controlled from every location, so you can turn off everything without having to get up. Word of advice, there is just one alarm even though the control are by each bed(if you have 2 beds in the room)...this means if one person sets the alarm it'll override the other person's alarm settings. There is a nice big TV, but pretty much the only thing on in English is the news. There is no ironing board in the rooms(by law), but they go out of the way to offer to do that for you. The gym will be a bit of a disappointment if you do any serious lifting(i.e. the equipment maxes out at 150 pounds, and the free weights max out at just 22 pounds), but there is enough equipment to keep yourself in shape. The spa seemed interesting enough(you walk through it to get to the gym) but that's not really my thing. The restaurant was excellent. Good selection, good food, good ambiance, good service, not your average hotel restaurant. Prices were very excellent for the quality of food you get(i.e. most main courses were in the 22-28 euro range, wine by the glass was in the 7-9 euro range but you can always pay more to get a bottle, and deserts were 10-12 euro). Breakfast by comparison felt a bit overpriced(35-40 per person). The food at the bar was decent too and the room service menu had a decent selection(although they do seem to give fries with everything and the friest were kinda meh). Overall, definitely a 5 star hotel, and was a pleasure to stay in.

We picked this hotel based on its exceptional reviews online and were very pleased with our selection. It is conveniently located with highly courteous staff and is an upscale property. They even provided a complimentary Maserati car service to the city center when we wanted to go for sightseeing and shopping. Our stay at this hotel added to the charm of our visit to the beautiful city of Milan. The only downside is that the distance from main tourist attractions is just a bit more than some of the other choices we considered including the Armani Hotel and Westin palace, but their free car service made up for that and I love to walk so we even tried walking to the Duomo one day which was fun and easily doable. It is also right next to the central train station and metro stop. We didn't try that mode of transportation but it seems like a plus to have that option if you want to use public transportation.
