Exceptional Kangaroo Island

We have just enjoyed two days touring Kangaroo Island with Martin from Exceptional Kangaroo Island Tours. Day one had a wildlife focus. We certainly saw the local wildlife, Sea Lions, Koalas, Wallabies, Roos and a multitude of bird life. Day two took us to Flinders Chase visiting sights on the way. Remarkable Rocks and Admiral's Arch are spectacular. The Fur Seal population at Admiral's Arch was wonderful. On both days Martin presented a delicious lunch, King George Whiting the first day and marinated chicken on day two. We also had morning or afternoon tea both days. Martin was a great guide, knowledgeable, friendly and adaptable. On the second day we asked if we might visit the honey shop that sells the honey ice cream. Not a problem. Thoroughly recommend Exceptional Kangaroo Island Tours and you might be lucky to have Martin as your guide.

It was my first time visiting the Island. David was an exceptional and extremely informative tour guide. We spent two full days on tour, covering most of the must see destinations. Morning tea and lunch were provided (high standard too) each day. If I had to pick a highlight, it was the Remarkable rocks and Admirals arch. Thank you for the best time.

Mar has been wonderful from start to finish. I can’t speak highly enough of her. She kindly offered to do the tours in Spanish as we both speak the language, but I preferred to do it in English. She was not only very knowledgeable but also very fun to talk to. I was very impressed by her ability to improvise and find alternatives to our second tour (Flinders Chase) which had to be amended on the spot due to the unexpected closure of the National Park caused by horrific weather. It ended up being great as we spotted two echidnas on the road on our new improvised route. I highly recommend EKI!

An excellent, authentic 2-day tour of fascinating Kangaroo Island by true blooded native, Lee. Kangaroo Island has both an interesting history as well as incredible scenery and wildlife. Lee provided strong historical context and highly experienced background information on the plentiful seal, kangaroo, wallaby, bird life and fauna across the island. Kangaroo Island’s fire recovery from 6 years ago is truly incredible. We enjoyed the entire KI experience, and thanks for a truly authentic experience during our stay on this beautiful island.

My daughter and I enjoyed our tour around the island with our guide, Shauna. There was only 5 of us on the tour and we went to Seal Bay, the north and south of the island. There were plenty of wild life including koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, and sheeps!! Shauna knew everyone and everything about the island. The bbq lunch was exceptional. Love the whole experience!

Did a 2 day tour while staying at an awesome Bed and Breakfast(and dinner) named Providence Guest House. David #1 on day 1 and David #2 on day 2 were wonderful guides. Traveled island in a 10 passenger van that was very comfortable Saw Koalas, a few kangaroo, seals, sea lions, Marvelous Rocks, The lighthouse , and stunning scenery. A bonus that was unexpected was the treat stops for tea or coffee and exceptional gourmet lunches. We were served under a tent out in private area complete with drinks including wine and beer. Food was outstanding. Thank you for such a wonderful, learning experience. Was a complete pleasure and a very memorable experience.

The 2 days spent with Mark were the best days of our entire 3 week trip. He is knowledgeable about the animals, plants and geographical sites. We saw wallabies, koalas, kangaroos, goanna lizards, many birds, seals and amazing scenery. Mark was good natured and very funny as well. I definitely recommend taking this tour if you have a chance!

We loved this tour. David Arnold was our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the Island, having lived here for many years. His stories of the people, the land and the animals made it an exceptional tour. The food was fantastic. The Van was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend the company
