I need some basic essentials for my stay in Medellin. They basically have anything you could want from groceries to appliances. I was very happy with the selection but the checkout process is why I can only give it four stars. Looks like there's a lot of people working there but not enough people operating the registers. Checkout process took about 20 minutes.

We try to do a lot of our weekly grocery buying here because it’s well situated to our apartment, close to the metro and has a variety of home goods, attire and groceries. If you watch for their sales you can save even more! I had a recent return item here and the customer service ladies were so nice, and helpful. I got an in-store credit (gift card) to use on my next purchase. Also, bolo the 50% off bins and racks throughout the store (near bakery and near dairy/veg cases). Most discounts start at 20% off!

Most well stocked grocery we found near our hotel in Medellin. They had a good wine section, nice lunch meat, fresh bread, and a wide variety of produce available.

A good place for buying some things

One of the better supermarkets in the city. Fairly clean and well stocked. Several things most grocery stores do not sell like hairspray and men’s hair products. Multiple ATM's and a few fast food restaurants in the store as well.

Very huge grocery store with two floors. The Éxito itself is very big. It’s a well planned place, great light, clean and comfortable ambience to do your groceries, buy clothes or beautiful products. There are even some nice coffee shops inside with great bakery assortment. It’s easy to reach by feet and also by car. Even poblado metro station is just a few waking minutes away. This Éxito has a wide selection of items ranging from household appliances, to bed and bath items, to apparel, to groceries, and much more. There's a bar and bakery within the supermarket so you can get a nice buzz and some sweet treats as well. Within the same complex, there's a Frisby chicken spot. This is one of my favorite fried chicken chains in all of Medellín. There are several other restaurants as well. I was able to find everything I needed on this trip, including a wash cloth, as my hotel does not provide those.
