Excellent stay. Hosts we very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing with large portions (we couldn’t finish it all!!) Rooms were spotless, with very comfy beds. We thought this was extremely good value for money, situated in a lovely rural area. Thank you

We wanted somewhere to stay for two nights over New Year after spending two nights in Porlock. I know the area from a child but had never been to Wheddon Cross. I never give 10/10 as always feel there is more that can be given but I cannot find any fault with Exmoor House. A beautiful dog friendly room with those little touches which meant so much - dog treats, dog towels, chocolates for us, extra towels, tea and coffee facilities with milk and orange juice in the mini fridge plus a selection of biscuits. Greeted by both Peter and Izzy on arrival and were made to feel very welcome. - we felt very much at home. The room (whole house) was very clean and comfortable. Other plus were a drying room and bar/sitting room with darts and pool table. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. We are already planning our next visit with friends as soon as possible.

My wife and I had a wonderful couple of nights in Exmoor House. Izzy and Peter were fantastic hosts and couldn't do enough to ensure we had a super stay.|The room was big and well stocked with thoughtful essentials, the bed was comfy and the shower was powerful.|The breakfast was lovely and filling, and they couldn't be kinder when I clumsily accidentally threw a cup of coffee over their cream carpet... :/|To top it off they also had an awesome 'Lounge Room' with a pool table, darts board and bar to keep guests entertained. (Haven't seen that before in a B&B)|Highly recommended, if we found ourselves down that way again we'd definitely go back.

One of the loveliest B&B’s I’ve ever been stayed in. The cleanliness, attention to detail and breakfast was second to none. I felt so welcomed and can’t wait to stay again. Great location for visiting Exmoor as well and the pub across the road is definitely worth a visit.

We were looking for somewhere to stay near Wheddon Cross as a stop over on our way back up from a week in Cornwall. We know the area but had never stayed at Exmoor House B&B before.. We needed a dog friendly room and where please to see that they were dog friendly. Booking was easy online. Greeted by both Peter and Izzy on arrival and were made to feel very welcome.. The room (in fact the whole house) was very clean and you can clearly see the attention to detail and thought that had gone into making every guest feel at home. We had such a delightful stay we extended it for another day. The B&B exceeded our expectations in a small town. The home is lovely and well appointed, yet comfortable. Izzy was a gracious hostess, along with Peter’s breakfasts which were delicious. I simply could not find one fault or criticism. We will be back soon… thats a definite.

This is an old building, so think quirky shaped rooms and features, not boring square boxes. That doesn't mean that it is dated inside though, it has been decorated to a high standard, and is spotlessly clean and tidy, and tastefully furnished. Our room was bigger than we expected, with loads of space even though the (very comfortable) bed was huge. There are all the facilities that you might expect, such as tea, coffee, biscuits, fridge, room safe etc, but what was lovely was that there wasn't just a couple of tea bags and a pack of custard creams but a whole range of beverages and biscuits in the room. Our hosts were great; very friendly and welcoming, and happy to advise on the best way to see local attractions. The cooked breakfast deserves a special mention, not only was it outstanding in terms of quantity but most importantly it was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. I'm going to say it's by far the best breakfast I've ever had in a B&B or hotel. Practically, the property is well situated to visit Dunster, Porlock and the surrounding area, there is parking to the rear, and the pub over the road is good for evening food and drinks. Genuinely really impressed with our stay here, and I think it will be our 'go to' for future visits.

I researched the reviews before booking and have to say we were not disappointed. A perfect place to stay for our visit to do the Exmoor Targa Rally. Our hosts were fantastic. The place is spotlessly clean, with all the little extras you would get at a top class hotel. The breakfast is fantastic. I would say it is one of the best b&b's that we have stayed at! No hesitation in recommending it for your stay. We will definitely being using it again.
