I really enjoyed this coffee shop! It has high ceilings and is brick. I was greeted immediately by and ordered an orange cardamom latte and a cheese and fruit croissant. Both were delicious!! I ordered a second latte and it was the mole latte. While still great, the orange cardamom was my favorite! The baristas were attentive and super friendly! I set up a laptop and watched as coffee beans were roasted! How cool is that??!? Loved this place!

Google
Outstanding coffee and vibe. I discovered this place out of the blue a few years ago and was happy to see the atmosphere was just as relaxed as I remember when I visited today. It’s so nice to go to a local coffee bar and not a cookie cutter stereotype. The latte I had was made deliciously and with a beautiful design.

Google
Supperb freshly roasted coffee no fuss straightforward pleasant service. Place is spacious and clean. Can improve a tad bit on the pastries but you come here for the coffee not the pastries

Krista Sparks

Google
Amazing orange cardamom latte. And I had the vegan banana strawberry loaf. Yum! My boyfriend had the salted chocolate chip cookie that was also delicious. Very unique industrial yet cozy atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Google
One of the best spots in Tucson. This falls in my top three places to get great coffee in the city. The staff is expert level baristas and know everything from growing, roasting process, brewing process, and customer service. As a self proclaimed coffee snob, this is always in my top coffee shops. Not only is the service fantastic , but the ambiance is amazing too. If ya want a great space for a date, to do work, or just chill…this is it.

Google
Intimate coffee shop housed in a beautiful brick building with exposed wood beams and roof. Relatively small tables line the wall with some outlets. Out front, small tables form a nice shaded patio that gives on to 6th Ave. Well-priced latte at $5 USD. Food options are generally limited.

Google
We loved coming here to get a quick coffee! This coffee shop has such a neat, rustic and authentic coffee house vibe. Very cool to see the roaster in the back of the shop too! Coffee was good and the customer service was even better. Gotta love the prices too! Paid $4.75 for a Mocha, if I’m remembering correctly. Seating is a little limited and all the seats were taken when we got there, so it looks like seating could be hit or miss and probably not the best place to study if you can’t even get a seat. But nonetheless a great coffee shop near downtown Tucson. We will be back for more!

Google
The place looks nice, just that. There is no food, the pastry is very basic, en the coffee basic too. it is not worth the cost.

Yelp
This place is awesome! I love the vibe here! It's quiet here enough where you can do work! Friendly staff and amazing tasting espresso! Tip: there is street parking around the coffee shop. On weekends it's free!

Yelp
My first visit was a 5.... Unfortunately, I just had a very poor experience at EXO. The young man behind the counter is very skilled at what he does, but inexperienced when interacting with customers on a personal level when they have concerns. He was neither empathetic or apologetic after I was chewed out by two young customers with attitudes, simply because I didn't knock on the restroom door when one of them was inside. Knocking is definitely an option, but it's not unusual for someone, to simply walk up and turn the knob, I understand how the young lady felt. However, I draw the line, when I sit down across from one of them, who scowls at me not knowing why, until the young lady spoke up demanding an apology. The ambience went to hell at that point and then got worse. My first experience was a five, but today Exo doesn't rate _ This is how staff and customers who act inappropriately in public, can hurt business; Arron had an opportunity to listened and without being disrespectful. To top things off, he got pushed out of shape when I asked for extra ice after giving him a gratuity. Give me a break... I was looking forward to sitting down and enjoying a beverage. I won't return. Note to the owner.... Put a big sign on the restroom door that says KNOCK! Also, teach Aaron the importance of representing your BUSINESS with respect, instead, of 'getting defensive' when your customers are upset. Arron is the difference between keeping customers and driving them away.

Yelp
When out on the road always looking for a good cup of coffee and while in Tucson, gave Exo Roast Co a try! After checking out the menu I went with a Mole Dulce Latte. It's a sweet and lil spicy latte made with a blend of Oaxacan chocolate and chili. This was a delish latte. The sweet and spicy and smoky taste just worked, everything tasted enhanced. Exo Roast is a cute rustic shop, its opened and bright and felt welcoming. I am sure when I am back in town Ill be making a stop by.

Yelp
I always like to find local coffee shops whenever I'm out and about. I was done with an appointment, and I looked up the nearest coffee shop to me, and this one was only half a mile away. From the second, I walked in to when I left with my beverage, the ambience of the whole coffee shop was so unique. I loved all the decorations on the walls and the music playing. It was just a really nice and calm place to come for a cup of coffee. I got the brown sugar and sage iced latte with half-and-half and it was absolutely delicious. It was really close to closing, so I ordered my coffee and left after I was done, but the barista taking my order and then creating my beverage was so kind and accommodating, and I will most definitely be back

Yelp
First time here and definitely not my last! Came in for a quick coffee run and the vibes are it. So relaxing, welcoming, and just an intimate spot to do some work, read a book, or catch up with a friend. Ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Loved that it wasn't overly sweet and that the coffee tasted fresh. Will have to come back and enjoy this beautiful coffee shop more!

Kristina B.

Yelp
This is a lovely little coffee shop and pretty quiet for a Saturday morning. We stopped in for coffee and snacks before heading out on the last leg of our road trip to LA. The latte was delicious, especially with the fig scone. The scone was just so gorgeous, but obviously I didn't have a problem eating it up. I ordered the iced Cafe de olla to go; that I could've lived without. Maybe because the one from the day before in El Paso was still haunting my mind. Coffees and scone/croissant prep was a little slow, but I probably wouldn't have felt that way if we hadn't had a long drive ahead. It's definitely a great sport for future visits!

Valerie S.

Yelp
What i liked most was the design of this coffee shop and location! I ordered an iced vanilla latte that came with very little ice. Most seating was taken up by one-person patrons who were working on computers. My friend and I had to find a spot at a table for 4, who had one person seated and he politely allowed us to sit at his table. The worst part for me and my friend was the uncomfortable temperature inside this shop. It was very hot and unemployable to just sit and talk. We ended up having to cut our visit short, as it was not enjoyable. Drinks were OK, but having more ice would have made this "iced" drink waaaay more enjoyable. Service was average.

Vladimir L.

Yelp
Great local coffee spot in the warehouse district very close to downtown Tucson. Great coffee and snacks in a rustic building. Convenient street parking and paid public parking just across the street.

Genevieve M.

Yelp
Love this rustic location with beautiful natural lighting. Indoor and outdoor seating. Puppers friendly. Their lattes are potent and crafted so prettily. Today I got lucky as they were roasting coffee and that aroma ... oh yeah!! Service is friendly and quick.

Alex F.

Yelp
We made it a point to try a new coffee shop in Tucson every day because there are so many! Exo was day 1 and I fell in love... no other coffee shops for the entire 5 days compared; we even returned on our last day before driving to the airport. I ordered Iced vanilla lattes with almond milk everyday to compare and by far, this coffee was the smoothest and most flavorful. It would be dangerous if I actually lived here. The cafe itself is cute and a great place to do work or have a date. Highly highly recommend this place.

Helena W.

Yelp
Great service! This place was buzzing on a random Wednesday morning. The various pastries looked delish - only tried the chocolate one and it didn't disappoint. Great local option!

Kris L.

Yelp
Excellent coffee and pastries plus hip atmosphere. The latte was excellent as was the broccoli feta pastry.

Kate S.

Yelp
The indoor seating area is very cramped. There was also an unpleasant smell. The coffee options were uninspiring.

Kristi W.

Yelp
Exceptional service, amazing coffee and matcha green tea lattes (they don't add sugar!! Yay!) Their foam is to die for and their coffee art is amazing. Super chill vibe and rad space. Coming back for more!

Lourdes V.

Yelp
I found this place on Yelp in walking distance from my Airbnb.. located across from Millers Surplus by 4th Avenue. What a cute coffee spot .. there was a line when I walked in but it moved fast. All the pastries looked delicious.. I opted for the berry scone, so good, this was not a mass produced pastry. My café au lait with almond milk was frothy goodness with a little coffee art to make it a little bit special. Located inside an old exposed brick building, lots of seating indoors and a little seating outside on the side of the building. The drink menu and syrups looked delicious.. I'll definitely be stopping by on my next trip to Tucson.

Ki T.

Yelp
The service from the super friendly staff is always great! Their menu offers a variety of unique flavors/seasonal options and a super rich espresso. Definitely recommend!

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
The service was horrible, it was our first time there and when I asked for a hazelnut latte she the one green hair has to be so rude when we are there even raised her voice at me when all I asked was if she could repeat herself on the milks because she was mumbling. Then when asked if they have croissants she said no you can see if you look in here what we have with a whole attitude.

James H.

Yelp
Excellent coffee shop in the hip part of Tucson. Has a very chill vibe in an old building in downtown. Espresso coffee is excellent and the bags of coffee, which i bought are very very good. I got Devils Claw and Mexico Chiapas. If i lived in town i would make this my daily.

Lydia D.

Yelp
Love the location/ambiance of this place! I ordered an iced lavender oatmilk latte and was happy to be able to have it in a glass! The music is at a good volume to be able to still read/work/chat and the building itself is very cool. I will be back! This was my first time!

Angelique A.

Yelp
The matcha was great, the mocha was great as well. The coffee is strong. Cool ambience. The service was quick and efficient too.

Aaron S.

Yelp
This would be a go to coffee place for me if I lived in Tucson. Some of the best coffee I could find in the city. Awesome orange cardamom latte as well

Heidi A.

Yelp
Perfect expresso, beautiful interior, refreshing shrubs and the most perfect barista With a heart of support and compassion. If coffee and coffee shops are the things that are top on your list to make you feel great during hard travel and work day, this is the place for you. I hope you will get the same barista as me!

Destiny L.

Yelp
If you visit a city and don't stop by at least one local coffee joint, well that's just rude. Just kidding, kinda. My coffee addiction is definitely latte centric and I was so excited to try the mole dulce latte here at Exo Roast Co. I'm from Albuquerque where you can definitely find a red chile mocha at just about every coffee shop in town so that sweet and spicy latte is nothing new to me but I know mole isn't exactly the same and it sounded like the most locally-flavored latte on the menu so that is what I went for. First things first, the little area is under construction which I am sure will be cool once it is finished but for now, it meant limited parking on a Sunday morning. The building is super cute and we were able to park so all good. They were pretty busy for the size of the shop but my order came out pretty fast. I got my latte to go and grabbed a chocolate croissant. The croissant was slightly overbaked but still pretty good, the latte on the other hand tasted pretty unflavored until I got to the very bottom where all the sweet & spicy kind of settled. Overall the coffee was good though.

Jessica S.

Yelp
With a decor that leans on that rustic urban, the construction nearby certainly cloaked the entrance to this local coffee roastery and shop. If the maddening construction around Tucson continues, know that you need only travel south down 6th Ave to the intersection at 6th St before reaching the cul-de-sac. The coffee shop is on the right hand corner. For coffee beverages, they possessed a diverse menu, some items pulling from the richness of the region's culture. The Mole Dulce Latte ($5) caught my attention, on that note. Such a peculiar latte possessing so much depth, thanks to the richness of the Oaxacan chocolate and spices. It was almost a mocha but not as heavy as one. I was a little sad that they no longer served any hot breakfast items although their pastries did tease from within the glass display case. I could not to say to the Blue Corn Scone and it did not disappoint. Slight nuttiness to a cornmeal-like pastry that provided such comfort. I also ordered a Cold Brew for later, but sad that my request for the Chiltepin was not conveyed. The Cold Brew was solid, but somewhat lacking in depth. Regardless, I love these local shops and the contentment provided in products that are made with so much thought and care.

Erica S.

Yelp
Enough with the pride flags in the black mirror, lives matter crap everywhere. We're over at already we get it. I love small businesses, but I refuse to enter places like this anymore. Because honestly, they end up being really rude. Usually condescending there's always a better then you attitude and they're always ready to be offended by something.

Hayward L.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop in an old house with a relaxing outdoor patio. Coffee choices are quite unique, I went for the mocha and you could really taste the bitter notes of chocolate and mole. Baked goods are OK but not spectacular. Prices are slightly on the high side, around $5 per coffee.

Laura D.

Yelp
I don't understand why this place is not raved about?! Um hello they have loose leaf teas honey lavender and cold cold brew and just overall everything you would want and it's all so good. Sure it's hard to get here cause of parking but don't worry there's parking on the side of the building and also across the way! Just come here and try something you won't be disappointed. Everyone is greeted with a smile and it's similarly priced to Starbucks so no worries there. It's a cute place for a study session if you are a student or work remote and want out of the house.

Marissa R.

Yelp
Didn't snap a pic, but I ordered the orange cardamom iced latte. I personally used almond milk instead of regular. Not a local so found this gem of a coffee shop while I was traveling. Super delicious! Very cool aesthetic inside as well.

Jessica P.

Yelp
Cool spot in a great location. Lots of good seating options indoor & outdoor. Lovely decor. Diverse drink menu. Experienced baristas. I got a almond mocha latte and it was PERFECT.

Betsy L.

Yelp
It had been a criminally long time since I'd been to Exo, so when a friend walked into my house with a drink from there and I felt a surge of envy, I knew I needed to go back ASAP. Oh, am I glad I did. I got a Mole Dulce Latte (think of it like a mocha's less sweet, spicier cousin) and a pumpkin scone. Both were delicious. The scone was definitely on the sweeter side, but it worked well with the complex flavor and subtle bitterness of the latte. If you like coffee and chocolate, but find most mochas too sweet -- as I often do -- I enthusiastically recommend this unique drink. The staff were super friendly, chatting and making jokes while I ordered and waited for my drink, which felt very warm and welcoming. It's such a lovely space, too! I love those big windows. Can't wait to go back regularly, now that it's back on my radar!

Megan M.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop with outdoor and indoor seating! I love the outdoor seating because you can people watch and enjoy your coffee. I have been here before and this time I ordered the Pineapple espresso soda! I noticed that they had 3 different menus. This drink was listed on the summer menu and caught my attention. First sip at a glance: Explosion of flavors in your mouth. It was great in my opinion because I love both coffee and pineapple. Highly recommend this coffee shop!

Tammy L.

Yelp
Driving through this city, I was looking for a good espresso pick-me up. Picking a random coffee shop, this brought us to seemingly random street with a lot of construction nearby. Their sign kind of blends in with the construction and the rest of the street, but when you go inside, the inviting aroma of coffee has you forgetting everything outside. If you're into the industrial look, you'll enjoy the ambience as well. The barista was friendly and answered my questions on the seasonal drinks (the cardamom lavender was amazing with just the right amount of spice), as well as on the pastries. I was told they bake their own pastries, and wow, the chocolate chocolate chip cookie was perfect! It was a soft cookie, with a good crunch on the outer rim. For soft cookie lovers, this is a must try (and I'm not even a sweet tooth). They do roast and sell their own coffee, along with other cute merch (mugs, baking goods, growlers), and the baristas are knowledgable and can help you with choosing something for your own home brewing. Overall, a great place I would revisit.

Kathleen A.

Yelp
What a great coffee shop! Very eclectic and lots of healthy drink choices. Friendly and cozy.

Tim B.

Yelp
The lavender sage coffee was fantastic! Our host was friendly and helpful. Nice cozy place. Will definitely return

Mike T.

Yelp
Super cute, exposed brick walls, great coffee and friendly baristas. Sidewalk tables under trees are nice in the winter. Limited or no power at tables however make this a little less than ideal if looking to study or write your next novel.

Ynes E.

Yelp
The coffee and tea are good i love the aesthetic of it, especially outside. The staff was super helpful and nice.

Andy V.

Yelp
A perfect little coffee shop. The ambience, the quality of their beans, and even the pastries were fantastic.

Ben H.

Yelp
I completely XO Exo coffee. The coffee shop is located in an old brick building. The uniqueness and charm of the coffee was shop was preserved despite its renovation. I ordered a drip which was bold and flavourful . We went on a Saturday, finding seating was a little challenging. Would love to come back again with a book

Rice S.

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere inside and outside, I love that place that I discovered while visiting my son in college. Pastries are very good and as a Frenchman, I had one of the best croissant ever in the country. Very cool neighborhood to me. Can't wait to go back.

Fabiola B.

Yelp
Exo is always a great treat rain or shine. The inside is perfect for meeting up with a friend or sitting at one of the few tables to read or do some work. The drinks are always flavorful and exciting. One of my favorites is the chiltepin cold brew, it has an unexpected taste that just keeps you enticed.

Bethany A.

Yelp
Good coffee shop in the Tucson Art District. I ordered The Special with oat milk. As promised, it's a much less sweet take on a traditional mocha, which is delicious. I like a heavier coffee flavor and should have added an extra shot but overall a very smooth, not too sweet morning pick me up. I love the old warehouse with aged brick walls and old school vibes. People were scattered around the small shop working and studying. The baristas were friendly and made a beautiful beverage in minutes. Finding this location was difficult for a first timer as there is so much construction going on in the area. The GPS kept trying to take us down closed roads. Glad we finally made it... will definitely be back next time passing through Tucson.

Jacki P.

Yelp
Coffee oh coffee the sparkle of my eye. As long as it's not Starbucks you'll find me drawn to the, good local roasted coffee and eclectic, cute, rustic red brick and metal buildings like a moth to fire! What a wonderful quaint place to grab a cappuccino sit and enjoy the morning. I was sad there wasn't any baked goods to much on with my cappuccino but even so it was a wonderful morning to sip on this delicious espresso. This particular morning they were roasting beans. The burnt unique smell of beans is so alluring to me. It's a cute little place to sit and ponder life or get some work in. It isn't extremely quiet as there is music in the background, the sounds of roasting and the bustle of people coming in to order. But even so if you're lucky to get a seat it's a great place to get some work done.

Susan L.

Yelp
Everything and the staff do wonderful job, breakfast sweets was amazing,, have the pumpkin scones and the mole cupachino

William O.

Yelp
I've been stopping in at Exo for years and generally like the coffee and the vibe. Lately, though I order the same hot drink every time, it hasn't tasted the same twice. One had no taste, one had a burnt overtone and today it was bitter. I'm taking a break because there are so many options downtown. They have their loyalists so they'll be fine.

Brian K.

Yelp
The coffee is mighty fine here. Try the chiltepin cold brew. And they make a great flat white. Wifi is good and they a nice setup inside but I was going during springbreak. Not sure how crowded it gets when all the college kids are around. The baristas have always been very cordial and pleasant to deal with.

Alicia J.

Yelp
If you aren't paying attention you might miss this little gem of a cafe. Super cute interior and a perfect place to sit and chat outside when the weather is right. The coffee is delicious. I had an Americano and the barista made it look beautiful! I can't wait to try more items here.

Lola S.

Yelp
Came here for our AM drink while on a visit from Phoenix. The inside is gorgeous with antique wood floors and a spacious feel with a vaulted roof. The staff were very friendly. I ordered an orange cardamom latte and it was the most delicious, smooth drink I've had in months. The prices were fair and the quality was amazing. My husband also enjoyed his vanilla latte very much. Good vibe, great drinks. If I lived here, I would be a daily customer.

Melissa D.

Yelp
Beat macchiato so far and a really good vanilla latte. The staff are lovely and the shop is down the street from a cute hippie strip we walked down.
