10 Best Museums in Copenhagen

"Located just north of Copenhagen, the massive Experimentarium—fresh off a 2017 design revamp—is a hands-on science and technology playground situated in an old Tuborg Brewery bottling plant. With exhibitions, demonstrations, and shows highlighting chemistry and physics experiments, it’s the epitome of educational entertainment—one that's perfect for curious kids and adults alike. Play on a laser harp in the Labyrinth of Light, build houses from soft foam-rubber bricks on the rooftop terrace, embark on a virtual underwater safari in the Beach, or sharpen your hearing, sight, touch, and smell on a journey through the Tunnel of Senses." - Alia Akkam

Kids thoroughly enjoyed spending hours here. There was plenty of engaging activities for both young and old. Special highlights were the bubble station and the sports area. We went here because of the free CPH card entry and probably would not go if I had to pay the entrance myself. There were no queues at the entrance and most areas had a crowd but not over bearing.

Great expirience for kids and adults, but in my opinion there are more activities for smaller kids. But you can also participate in games as a team with all your family members. If you are planning to visit museum in the weekend come here in the morning, and after 12 the amount of people increased rapidly

Quite nice. The kids enjoyed themselves. Even though it was not overcrowded when we visited, there are easily too many visitors for the otherwise many things to do. There is very little learning - even though I can see the effort from the setup - but that is the same for most of these places around the world.

Great museum for both kids and adults. Bought tickets online as it is cheaper. We liked most of the activities there, but it would be nice if there were moderators going around so that others were not hogging the area for themselves. We also liked that you can bring food in because of the limited food choices. The roof deck also has a nice view of the bay.

Fantastic museum. We have been to many science museums over the years in various countries this one is up there at the top. Lots of innovative displays demonstrating different principles in a fun interactive ways so make sure you give yourself enough time. The exhibits have a good range covering younger and older children and adults ! Staff are very freindly and helpful thanks for a great visit.

We have spent all day here. Much fun for kids (6 and 8) and adults too. We enjoyed most the team play games in the first floor. Also for kids for lunch buy the lunch box in the buffe, the kids will be happy and with full stomach.

Awesome! Excellent! Fun! Learning! Family! Really... I could go on :-) This place is unique and full (i mean FULL) of experiences that are so cool! The whole family will get something positive from this trip! Price is absolutely fair! This is a MUST if you're in Copenhagen! RECOMMENDED

Generally a nice place for kids, great building design and nice exhibitions for kids - however management allows too many people to enter the building at the same time, today the building was just packed with people and it was frustrating that our kids could not try numerous exhibition items, simply because there were too many people in the building. Unfortunately lots of money wasted, a vacation day lost and frustrated kids as a result for us! We habe been to similar experimentarium offerings in Sweden, Portugal and Switzerland and they all offered better value for money.

Yelp
So many different displays and interactive exhibits to play with. Kids loved the transportation of goods lesson through the import and export exhibit. They liked the game where you try to guess what country would want certain goods imported from another country. They really liked the team games where you make your own team name and then use that at some of the exhibits as a sort of competition. We also liked the food! We have delicious chicken and a burger. Museum food was great! Definitely would recommend visiting this place with kids during your visit to Copenhagen.

Yelp
This was super fun. So many things to do I personally loved the interactive area and we watched the bubble show which was very fun. My family really appreciated the free lockers. Price was great and definitely worth it. If you are close I definitely recommend this.

Yelp
Wow!! What a great interactive museum!! We could have spent the whole day here without anyone getting bored. The cafe's food was great with burgers for my boys(gourmet) and sandwiches for the vegetarians. My husband was able to have a beer and I was able to have coffee.

Yelp
We have 2 kids (5 & 7 years), but saw engagement and activities for kids (and adults) of all ages. We spent almost 6 hours here and always had something new and interesting to do. The new space is fantastic and very well thought out. Admission is included with the Copenhagen Card.
