From start to finish, this hotel delivered a genuinely top-tier experience. Every member of staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect. We were welcomed on arrival with refreshing welcome drinks and big smiles, which immediately set the tone. A special mention to Aung, Moe, Yaya and Tata, who were all fantastic and made a real difference during my stay. Breakfast was included and honestly excellent — lots of variety, extremely fresh, healthy, and well thought out. The egg station was a big highlight, offering all kinds of eggs cooked to order, which was ideal for me as someone who’s into the gym and likes to hit protein goals. The rooms were spotless, very clean, and super comfortable — exactly what you want after a long day exploring or relaxing. The biggest standout for me is the location. The hotel looks directly onto the beach, which is unbeatable. Picture this: eating a Pad Thai, sipping a cold Singha, watching the sun set while a warm Thai breeze blows through — absolute bliss. Another massive plus is the brand-new 7-Eleven directly opposite the hotel (built August 2025). This was incredibly convenient for essentials and late-night snacks. It’s around a 5-minute taxi ride to Haad Rin Pier, or about a 15-minute walk, and there are plenty of nearby places to rent scooters for 250–300 baht per day. Haad Rin itself is small, but there’s still a good selection of bars, restaurants, and massage parlours to choose from. Overall, this hotel is an absolute must-try if you’re visiting Koh Phangan. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it — without a doubt, I’d stay here again.

We had a great 3 night stay at the hotel. We had a very rough crossing from Chumphon and were pleased to be greeted by Jannick who offered a very restorative fresh coconut with rum. We immediately liked the vibe of the resort with the beautifully planted garden, gorgeous pool and well kept beach with views across to Samui. All the staff are great and super friendly and the food in the restaurant was lovely and not too pricey. The resort is a lovely oasis and there were always sun loungers available. A small suggestion which would improve the rooms is to add some nets to the windows so you can still enjoy the garden views without having to make the room dark with black out curtains and to have some art.

I took my parents on a trip to Thailand, and got to Koh Phangan after spending some time at beautiful Koh Samui. After quite an exhausting road, we got to the Explorar hotel. At first we were skeptical, but as soon as we went down to the beach, we were in complete awe of the amazing sunset of the hotel's beach. We were quickly greeted by Tamk and Yok, smiling from both ends of their faces, showing us how happy they are that we've come. It felt as if we are their children, coming home to mom and dad. During the entirety of our stay, the hotel's services team, mainly orchestrated by Yok and Tamk, have made sure we don't lack anything. Each and every member of the team made us feel like home, and honestly, I thought about canceling all of my other hotels and just prolong my stay at the Explorar. Personally, I am still sad that I've left. Everything the Explorar has to offer is top-tier, and I really mean it. If you're reading this, don't think further - book yourself a room at this hotel. You have my guarantee that you won't be disappointed. Special thanks to the wonderful Yok, which made our stay truly unforgettable. I've requested the names of all the staff that took care of us, so look out for the names on their badges and know that you're in good hands. We stayed at Explorar 5 nights and had the absolute best time!! The stay was so relaxing and quiet and the entire venue just makes you want to lay back and rest. The team was so amazing and took care of our every need. Special shout out to Tamk and Aung Kik for amazing environment and service. The rooms were super clean, the laundry service and the scooter rental that work with the hotel were fantastic as well. The gym and the pool were equiped, clean and lovely for use as well as the Sup and Kayaks that you can take for free🤩 We also took the free cocktail mixing and cooking classes and had such a great and delicious time😋 The label might say 4 stars but it's easily a 5-star experience and a top notch service🙏🏼

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Explorar Koh Phangan. The entire hotel crew is exceptionally friendly, upbeat, and always ready to help with a smile — they truly make the place feel special. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, offering plenty of fresh and tasty options, and the service throughout the day is consistently excellent. The beachfront area is beautiful, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, thanks in large part to the amazing staff. The receptionists, Lek and Chu, were exceptionally kind, helpful, and welcoming. They assisted us with every request we had and made us feel completely at ease from the moment we arrived. We would also like to mention Tin, who was incredibly friendly and warm. His genuine hospitality made our experience even better, and we truly appreciated his kindness. A special thank-you as well to Moe, our waiter, who was funny, friendly, and an absolute pleasure to be around. He served us with a big smile and made every meal more enjoyable. We also want to praise the breakfast team — Aung, Tata, and Zin — for their excellent service. They were attentive, pleasant, and always made sure we had everything we needed to start our mornings perfectly. Overall, the hotel staff truly elevated our stay, and we are grateful for their warm and attentive service. Highly recommended! The location is a bit far from the center and the restaurants but it’s very close to the haad rin and the full moon party also the hotel restaurant is very good.

I stayed at Explorar from 19th to 21st December 2025 in a pool view room, and the experience was truly wonderful. The room itself was amazing, and the view from the room was absolutely extraordinary. Unfortunately, I don’t recall the name of the night manager, but he was exceptionally helpful and thoughtful. On the day of my check-in, there was a party at a nearby resort, and he personally informed me that if the music became too loud, he would arrange another room for me to sleep comfortably. This level of care was greatly appreciated. Additionally, Chu and one more manager on duty kindly allowed me a late check-out, as my ferry was scheduled around 3 PM and there were no bookings for my room that day. This thoughtful gesture made my departure very relaxed and stress-free. Overall, it was a memorable and pleasant stay, and I truly appreciated the hospitality and attention to detail.
