Buffalo has been wanting and needing a place like this for quite some time. My first experience with a place of this configuration was in Baltimore, where I first saw small individual setups in a large place full of tables and chairs, meant to be a communal space, and allow the vendors to have a smaller manageable space instead of a whole restaurant. This is brilliant and I am so glad Buffalo has jumped on this bandwagon. It has a variety of different places to chose from to eat, and there are several sections of chairs to sit and enjoy the food. I wish the setup was a touch different- it feels very long, and could use more variety instead of a long hallway with things on the left and things on the right. Maybe smaller stalls, more walls, so you felt like you were weaving in and around a more intimate place. I do like the ability to have an event in the private space in the back, and attended something there recently. The fact that the front opens up to the street for the summer, allowing you to drink on the patio in good weather is also something that makes this place charming. And that they serve alcohol at all is key- you can grab a drink from the bar, but a burrito from another restaurant, and enjoy it at the same time. That’s clutch. My biggest gripe is the bathroom- way too small for a place that clearly wants to serve a ot of people. The ladies room doesn’t have changing table, so it is not parent friendly, and tends to have some issue, either no hot water, or no paper towels, or it’s dirty. Otherwise, a great place.
