The roses were very pretty! And watching different birds land butterflies fly around was fun. The plots could be better kept, and there was group of kids on bikes vaping and bringing a worse vibe to a usually tranquil area. Plus the fountain wasn’t working 😞 but it was very pretty, and definitely a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Totally recommend!

Google
Beautiful rose garden. Very well maintained, clean, and filled with stunning varieties of roses. The central fountain is spotless and gorgeous. Perfect spot for a family day. The lawn is perfectly manicured, and there are plenty of shaded areas with seating. We visited for Mother’s Day, right after a trip to the Natural History Museum. Highly recommended. We parked nearby and, just a 3-minute walk after the museum visit, enjoyed a lovely stroll through the rose garden before heading back to the car.

Beautiful roses. Nice fountain in the center. A couple of small gazebos with shades but it's mostly open space in direct sunlight. No bathrooms that I saw. We brought a picnic, but ate it at the tables just outside the rose gardens

I went Friday 7/25/25 3:30 took Metro Rail train E Line, there is a stop in front of museum. Very nostalgic, my parents took us as kids... Sign says closed from January 1 to March 15...

Google
Quite impressive with well tended rose beds on a large ground, perhaps the largest rose garden in California. The water fountain was turned off at 6 PM, I think, when I visited. Free to enter. There are museums on one side.

Google
Such a beautiful sight, from the rose varieties to the size, this is a must-see if you're in LA! Some of the roses were in full bloom and stunning. Bring a blanket and sit in the garden, read a good book, or have a picnic. It's such a beautiful place to just enjoy existing 🥹🩷

Google
What a lovely place for a wedding ceremony. We loved capturing all the details the rose garden that surrounded a beautiful ceremony site for our amazing couple. There was a little bit of foot traffic, but the staff and bystanders were respectful during the celebration!

Roses smelled great. Flowers looked well despite the hot summer weather.

Yelp
Great garden with a bunch of different varieties of roses. I was waiting for the Boney Island event to start at the Natural History Museum and it was a great way to spend some time waiting. Also tons of garden cats as well.

Yelp
The rose garden is a nice place to visit if you happen to be in the area. I don't think anyone should go out of their way to make a trip out to the garden. Adjacent to the Natural History Museum, the Science Center and USC, it's not too difficult to make a quick stop to visit the gardens when you're in the area. Depending on the season you go, you may or may not be lucky concerning how the flowers may have blossomed. There isn't much shade in the gardens, and the fountain in the middle only works sometimes. But you can always find a rainbow colored umbrella donning some snacks and drinks in case you feel bit hungry or thirsty. Sometimes you will also see some pesky youth, or suspicious transients on the Exposition Boulevard side of the street, so be on your toes! They have some gazebos scattered throughout the garden, so if you're lucky, you can snag one of those spots to stop and smell the roses. The expo line is also nearby if you'd like to avoid parking fees.

Yelp
The Exposition Park Rose Garden is a beloved spot to visit in Los Angeles for many good reasons. First, the rose garden is free to enter, making it an accessible and enjoyable outing for everyone. This sunken garden is steeped in history, dating back to 1927. It's a lovely place to relax and soak in the ambiance. With over 15,000 rose bushes boasting more than 100 varieties, the rose garden is a feast for the senses, especially during peak blooming season (April to November). With its vibrant flowers and picturesque setting, the rose garden is a popular spot for capturing memories. The day of my visit coincided with the commencement ceremony at UCLA so I saw graduates having their photos taken in the beautiful garden. I, myself, took a lot of selfies with the fragrant flowers. In the heart of bustling Los Angeles, the rose garden offers a tranquil escape from the city. It's a great place to unwind and appreciate the beauty of nature. I spent the rest of my afternoon sitting in one of the gazebos.

Yelp
This Rose Garden was so serenely pretty. We walked around to relax a tad breathing in more fresh air. The drive out was very smooth and so was parking. I got to take a video of the water fountain and another of the examples of various colors of roses they planted here in this garden. I'm sure I'll be back again in the near future.

Yelp
This park is something like 7-acres and the main draw is the sunken rose garden. They call it "one of the city's best-kept secrets" but really it's very popular so a large group of folks must have been let in on the confidential information . This is a great spot for photo ops among the more than 20,000 roses covering nearly 200 different varieties. It's always best when you can catch the roses in bloom which happens between mid-March top December so you have plenty of time to fit it into your schedule. The garden also features a giant fountain in the center, a gazebo, and several benches scattered throughout. Walk through the garden along the paths, take a break on the benches, or have a nice relaxing picnic. You might also catch weddings or other special events going on. There's room for everyone. The park is free but you'll probably have to pay for parking if you drive to get here, Exposition Park has a large mostly underground parking structure and that's what most people pay to use.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite rose gardens anywhere. It is a quiet and beautiful spot across Exposition Blvd from the University of Southern California (USC) campus. The Garden features thousands of rose bushes of various varieties. It is absolutely stunning to behold during the peak blooming season of May and June. The well-maintained pathways are ideal for strolling through the garden, and there are numerous benches to sit, relax and enjoy the roses.

Yelp
Super gorgeous rose garden! I went there with my friend to take graduation pictures & it was phenomenal! It was a large enough garden that I didn't feel crowded with all the other students there for their prom. We went around 5/6pm and the lighting was so pretty. Highly recommend for prom or graduation pictures. Definitely don't be there alone at night because some homeless people were roaming around in the entrance.

Yelp
I know Miley reminded us we can buy ourselves flowers, but smelling them and taking them in (pops allergy pill) is even better!! The Rose Garden of Exposition Park is a full bloom garden of all sorts of flowers with easy pathways/trials to navigate. And nearby a gorgeous lavish water fountain. Depending on the time of year it can be a little wetter or damper (to be expected), however... On a nice sunny day, you'll see families, couples, cart vendors and merriment going on around the garden. Inside it's very relaxing. They do a great job upcoming and honestly seems like summer time is the best time to go. I think the last time I walked through or by was just before fireworks in July of 2019 and we were just south of the Rose Garden, very much in view. It's definitely taken on a lot more charm with time as well as color with the seasons - very close to the LA Memorial Coliseum and Natural History Museum. Worth a stroll anytime!

Yelp
If you love Roses then you'll love this place. Perfect place for a daytime #Date or a place to meditate and or relax. The garden is next to the Los Angeles California Science Center. There are four white Gazebos with Benches that provide shade and solitude. The Metro Rail is across the way too.
google avatar

Julia S.

Yelp
Don't let the name fool you, the garden has more to offer than just roses, but the roses are certainly a highlight! The garden features a number of different flowers, and in the center, you'll find a beautiful fountain. It's a very serene, and calm place to walk, picnic, or spend time alone. We stopped by during early June, and most of the flowers were still in full bloom. Definitely a good place to snap an IG pic or two.

Yelp
This little oasis is so beautiful. It was so nice walking through here and just relaxing. Highly recommend listening to Orbital- Halcyon and on and on as you walk through.

Yelp
Love the Rose Garden. My husband and I will come walking here on nice days. Love that it is accessible and free to the public. You never know what else is happening in this super walkable area. Last time we were here there was a free jazz festival going on. Great place to bring out of towners as well as the locals who never go south of Venice.

Yelp
Free attraction in Los Angeles, California... I've had this Rose Garden bookmarked for years! We tried to visit, but weren't able to find the parking lot. I think there was an event taking place at the time and traffic was being diverted? Anyway, last night, on the way to the Banc of California Stadium, we passed by the Rose Garden from the Metro Station. We had parked in Downtown LA and caught the E line. Next time I'm in LA, I'll make it a point to walk through the Exposition Rose Garden! It looks beautiful already from the outside!
google avatar

Kaelene M.

Yelp
The rose garden is a beautiful visit if you're in the area! It's a very large garden and even when there's a lot of people it doesn't seem too crowded. There's plenty of space to walk around or even have a picnic. Also, there's very cute gazebos everywhere in the garden! This is a great place to go to with friends or family! The roses here are always beautiful.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful garden! But very muddy! Make sure you bring shoes that you don't mind getting dirty with. We held an event here and this is why I came out to the Rose Garden. Also bring some blankets if you plan on sitting. There aren't a lot of benches. It is very close to the California Science Center and Natural History Museum. Beautiful gardens and flowers. Perfect to take pictures with! Also, I highly recommend getting dropped off. Of course you have to pay for parking and figure out where to park and how to get here. If you plan on eating, bring a picnic or bring cash for the local street vendors that are on the sidewalk located on State Drive. I am not sure if they take card. There are also some restaurants like Chick Fil A and Chipotle located on Figueroa & Exposition Blvd. Overall, very pretty place to visit!

Yelp
Beautiful vibes , very peaceful and energizing, I walk barefoot and ground when I'm there , great nature escape , felt like I was in my own world

Yelp
Great spot to enjoy a leisurely stroll, sunshine, and lovely roses! The roses were so fragrant and they had a nice variety. There were multiple cart vendors which was nice as we enjoyed some fruit to-go and found a quiet bench to people watch. Parking is expensive if you can't find street parking.
google avatar

Kelsey C.

Yelp
Oh, it's beautiful! A sizable plot of land dedicated to neat squares of love-flowers, this completely free garden is the perfect place to walk, sit, or selfie between museums or just if you're nearby and feel like taking a pretty walk.

Yelp
I've been coming here since I was a child. So obviously it's great. I think it's a hidden gem of a place now historically it's been a rose garden since 1927. It's rich in history and it's beautiful in nature just look at the pictures. There is a beautiful fountain also if you want to take some pictures. My Dad and I went because I wanted some inspiration for a project I'm doing. Plus it's a beautiful day and you can see in the pictures. Whether your a local or tourists it's a fun thing to do. Enjoying these wonderful outdoors. It's so serene and fun and it goes on endlessly. Some fresh nature to slow down the craziness in life.

Yelp
Went to just walk the grounds with my dog. Space museum and air museum under contract but will be amazing once opened. Nice rose garden in the middle of the complex to relax

Yelp
I have been going here since I was a child! It was great to visit it as an adult and still appreciate this cute area within the city. Location: It was nice to come enjoy a walk through the gardens full of roses! There are 4 main entrances to the park, and all have a couple of steps into the park itself. Every entrance has a walkway that takes you to the middle fountain. 3 entrances lead you to different museums in the area too, so it's a great little day trip! There are a few vendors that may be around the perimeter selling water and Ice cream. I would highly recommend wearing a hat or sunglasses, as there are only a few spots with shade. However, it is nice to bring a blanket and sit near the gardens to enjoy the fresh smelling flowers and plants. There are also a few gazebos located throughout the garden, and those may provide some shade and spots for sitting. Parking: You can access the park by walking, riding the nearby metro link, buses and if you drive there are a few parking lots that you can pay to park in. If you're going to be exploring the museums, the ANgel City Soccer stadium or the USC Coliseum's, then there is a designated parking lot where you can pay to park. If it's during the week before 5pm, the price is $15 per car, and it is a decent size lot with smaller spots, but has good lighting and is well organized with plenty of signs to show where you parked, or how to exit. Cost: aside from parking, the entrance to the rose gardens is free! Some museums are also free but others are not, so I recommend checking their websites for those details. Happy venturing and hope you enjoy this spot!

Yelp
Beautiful roses - the garden is a great stop particularly if you're in the area for the CA science museum or the natural history museum. Incredible number and variety of roses. Can be very hot on hot days!
google avatar

Yelp
"God gave us memory so that we might have roses in December." ~J.M. Barrie "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" ~William Shakespeare (Romeo & Juliet) We all need to make time to stop and smell the roses. What's not to love when it comes to roses? With eternal varieties of colors, scents, shapes, and sizes, a walk through Exposition Park Rose Garden could take a while. I felt Valentines Day would be a good day for this review. Whoever you are, whatever the circumstances, honor thyself today, reflecting on yourself and the blessings which surround you. Like beautiful roses, they are everywhere. Wishing everyone a wonderful Valentines day filled with goodness and love. If ever in the area of USC, make time to visit the Exposition Rose Park Garden. Its beauty is striking.
google avatar

Joan W.

Yelp
I love roses so I love it here. At 7 acres it's quite impressive and features shades of roses in a rainbow full of different colors. I enjoy just strolling around smelling all the different varietals and taking loads of pictures. It reminds me a lot of the Municipal Rose Garden in San Jose in terms of presentation, size and selection of roses but this one has white gazebos to sit and relax and is in a more urban setting so the street traffic is louder and it is much harder to find parking. I still haven't figured out where to park besides the CA Science Center which is $12. Since it's across from USC it's not easy to find free or cheap parking so a trip here is best to incorporate with the Natural History Museum and/or the Science center which is free.
google avatar

Yelp
This Rose Garden is a little LA treasure. I discovered it many years ago while going to the California Science Center. It is pretty big, with many types of roses, row after row, nice to walk through and check them out. Their perfume floats in the air. There's a beautiful fountain in the middle, wonderful museum buildings around, many benches to sit down and rest, enjoy the views, take it all in. This would be a great place to bring a book and enjoy it or have a snack. There are also picnic tables, so a meal around here could be a romantic setting, right? Covid times or not, the gardens are a great place to wonder about and enjoy the outdoors in the middle of the city. Free to visit. There's a subway stop right in front of it and UCS across. Opened daily from 9 am to 5 pm! I enjoy stopping by when I'm in the area, they remind me of a park in Europe. I miss the museums, but you can still have the gardens. Check out the roses, stop and smell them!
google avatar

Shanelle S.

Yelp
Lovely public garden right next to USC. Conveniently located off a metro stop, the Rose Garden is a nice place to have a picnic or take cute photos (especially USC grad photos). It's open 8:30am-5:30pm but it's closed during the colder months (January through March). You simply can walk around and spend as much or as little time as you'd like (entry is free). There are a couple of gazebos that you can use for shade although ore often than not, there are other people using them. There are benches around the fountain and on a windy day, you might get sprayed with some water droplets. There aren't public restrooms but it's close to several museums with restrooms (is the California Science Center). The path is wide and you could push a wheelchair on it. You're not allowed to pick the flowers but you can certainly admire them and revel in the fresh smell of roses. Overall it's a really pretty place and you can get creative whether you want to take photos, have a picnic, or literally just stop and smell the roses.

Yelp
Great place for walking studying taking pictures just enjoying the day we had a great day walking around looking at all the beautiful flowers all the different colors and smells. I got lucky I saw a wedding being performed and a engagement photo session

Linda Y.

Yelp
Fully bloomed rose garden! Numerous colors and different sizes. Most are almost as tall as I!!! There is plenty of grass areas throughout. The garden is pretty well maintained. A lot of greenery on the edges. I saw many taking advantage lounging on the lawn with a picnic and reading material. Wear comfy shoes!
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
I came here around May/June and it was all in bloom. The place is well maintained. Loads of children around from field trips near the museums. Though lots of the kids were taking flowers. I like that they have the labels of each variety of roses. There's also vendors with carts selling ice cream, sliced fruits, and hot dogs. The parking lot near it is $12 but if you take the subway, the Expo Line directly leads directly to Expo Park/USC Station then walk through to the Rose Garden. There's the Banc of California Stadium that opened recently for soccer and for the 2028 Olympics; the California Science museum, L.A coliseum, National History museum, and California African American museum are pretty much next door neighbors too.
google avatar

Sue D.

Yelp
Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! If your are in LA, don't forget to stop by to smell these irresistible roses. They have alluring fragrance. I felt as though I was swept away to a magical place when I was here. Peter Haas (sr. gardener) along with his 4 jr. gardeners did a great job of maintening this aromatic rose garden for the public to enjoy. Really appreciate their work. Good job guys!

Yelp
One of my favorite summer past times is heading to the rose garden and getting to walk amongst so many roses. Being in the rose garden gives you such a peaceful and relaxing feeling. Definitely something I always do in the summer. It's located across the science center and the natural history museum so after checking those out I'd recommend winding down and enjoying a relaxing time at the rose garden. There's always roses blooming in the summer so that's a perfect time to check it out. The fountain in the middle of the garden is also beautiful. There's plenty of gazebos and benches for you to sit down on and admire the roses. If you love photography like me you can definitely get some beautiful shots of the roses. There's so many different types and colors. One of my favorite places to unwind and get away from the busy LA life.
google avatar

Sakiko E.

Yelp
What's not to like about the free rose garden that is so well maintained and beautiful!? I've been to some botanical gardens in the U.S. and other parts of the world but this is one of the best! It's so romantic and the access is not so bad from the Expo line or silver line. My grandma loves roses and I happened to be around this area so checked out this garden to snap some pictures for her. It is amazing how 145 varieties can be mostly all at once blooming nicely. The big fountain in the center of the garden is elegant though the fences were blocking the view a bit. Some bugs were sucking the juices out of the roses so if you're not good with bugs, maybe you need to be careful - my friend didn't want to come because of that. There were people coming and going but it was fortunately not that crowded. Some were there to chill on the grass and take a nap. Others were walking around to see all the roses in different shapes and colors. I was there to take advantage of my photography opportunities of the roses. If you want to snack, the vendors are in some corners selling ice cream, fruits, and such. If you want other options, check out the food court at the Science Center right in front.

Yelp
A MUST DO! A FREE BEAUTIFUL ROSE GARDEN. BRING YOUR PICNIC BASKET TO HAVE A WONDERFUL LUNCH. I recommend coming here & seeing one of the museums; there are several. This way you can turn this into a combination trip. We went here after seeing King Tut @ California Science Center which was AWESOME!!!!! YOU MUST SEE THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENT! We Had lunch on their many picnic tables. Then we walked up & down the beautiful Rose Garden & got our cardio in for the day. We sat on the park benches but some people pulled out a blanket & then just Chilled on the Grass in the Garden. What a Fantastic Day! It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!
google avatar

Yelp
" Picnic In The Park " We went to the California Science Center and we had lunch outside in the Exposition Park Rose Garden. The Garden is beautiful, with very nice gorgeous multiple color Rose types, throughout a garden area with a Huge Water Fountain in the center of it. With California in such a trout, it was nice seeing some lush color. This Rose Garden is definitely a must see when you go to the California Science Center.
google avatar

Sharna H.

Yelp
This place is stunning. Beautiful place to walk around gorgeous flowers. Spent some time walking with my mom and sister very relaxing place.
google avatar

William G.

Yelp
This rose garden sits on either side of the main walkway that connects the street to the science center. We came here during the tailgate party, so the garden was fenced up all around, save for a small opening to let in people. The garden is actually pretty extensive, with roses of different colors sitting in rows and columns across most of the lawn. It was a nice walk, in spite of the hot day outside. I saw a gazebo, and places to sit in the shade. But we were exploring the place for a bit before the game, so we didn't have time to sit down and just take in the scenery. This is one of many great stops in the area that surrounds the USC main campus.
google avatar

Mimi L.

Yelp
This is more like a rose park than Garden to me cause it is huge, I wonder if they have all sorts of roses here. The fountain is beautiful and gazebos are great to rest and appreciate this colorful garden. It is located next to the California science center, you can walk from the exposition park, a few parking lots around for $12 flat rates. Some of the rose bushes were so big and tall that they looked like trees, not all of them were blooming perfectly, some were full blooms but some were not, still they looked very beautiful no matter what. Entire garden is great for photo ops, I suggest come here late afternoon when the natural lights are the best for taking photos. This is a free garden so it's great for cheap dates and low cost family days, or whenever you want to enjoy some sunshine and have a relaxing time with colorful roses all around. Since the parking is not cheap, it might be a good idea to get here earlier to visit the surrounding museums such as California Science Center and Natural History Museum or even a little picnic at the park.

Yelp
Review #081 - 2019 I brought the kids here after lunch. It was nice & warm, with a light breeze. My daughter had a good time running around in the open space. The garden is absolutely beautiful, and the water fountain in the center of the garden makes it that much more elegant. Sadly, when we showed up, most of the roses were still dormant, while the ones that had bloomed were starting to die off already. It's still a very nice place to come and relax, even if there weren't too many roses to take pictures of. I hope to come back closer to summer next time so I can see the garden blossom in its full glory!
google avatar

Kislev A.

Yelp
As of end of March, the EXPOSITION PARK ROSE GARDEN is not yet blooming. The garden is very well maintained and beautifully trimmed, nevertheless. I've been to the garden in the past when the roses are in full bloom and it is a beautiful sight to see. A great place for your photo shoot. The Rose Garden is park of the Exposition Park campus and located in front of the Natural History Museum's east entrance. You can park on any of Exposition Park's parking lot but the Rose Garden is pretty close to the east entrance. Parking is cash only. The garden is free.
google avatar

Alisa S.

Yelp
It's huge! Early July, there are still plenty of roses. Various and colorful roses, very photogenic. It's hot and sunny but under the shades, it's still enjoyable. It's indeed a great escape after being like sardines inside the science center.
google avatar

Franklin M.

Yelp
Old school since 1928. I've been coming here for four decades and it never gets dull. If you love flowers and gardening you shouldn't miss this especially that its free. I've seen many Quinceanera and Wedding photo shoots here over the years.
google avatar

Edbert N.

Yelp
The Rose Garden is a very nice place to take a break and smell the roses. I happen to come upon this place while exiting the Science center, which is also an amazing place to hang out. To be honest, there isn't much to do but walk around and enjoy the scenery. There are rows of roses all around. Some roses are wilting because of the heat, but they are still nice nonetheless. In the middle of the garden, are a few benches to sit down in the shade. It is also a nice place to take your IG photos, if you're into that. All in all, this place is an enjoyable destination to take a break from your long day to enjoy the beautiful outside. Parking might be hard to find, but there are few lots around the park where you can pay to park.

Yelp
YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2017 - PART 2: 31/100 I've been to the California Sciences Center dozens of times and who knew they had a rose garden! (My mother is the only one in the household with a green thumb so it was only natural for her to make the discovery.) I have NEVER in my life found myself in the middle of hundreds of different varieties of roses. That in itself was a treat! One must appreciate the kind of work that goes in here. Maintaining thousands of bushes and the well-kept grassy walkway must be tedious! We were lucky enough to run into a couple of caretakers who answered a few questions. They also gave my Mom tips on how to better care for the many different types of these flowers. And yes, you should really stop and smell the roses. Some do smell sweeter than others. (You'd be surprised!) I am definitely never missing this again. Couldn't have asked for a better way to end the day trip at the CSC!

Yelp
Today is a perfect morning to visit the Rose Garden. Possibly due to Covid, there are very few people here. It's about four months away from Roses season and not a lot of Roses in bloom. Nonetheless, not a bad time of year to stroll around the garden and even visit the museum.

Yelp
Roses are red, violets are... Well, you know the rest. Forget the violets though, because I'm going to talk about roses. LA isn't exactly known for its greenery but if you are seeking roses then the Exposition Rose Garden is at your service. Well, kind of. Read on... The Exposition Rose Garden is located in between the Natural History Museum and the California Science Center on the USC campus basically connecting the two educational spots. One can consider it somewhat underrated in the respect that it isn't as talked about or busy even despite the crowds at the two museums. So, what will you find here? The Exposition Rose Garden is considered an LA Park maintained by the LA Parks and Rec Department and consists of 7 acres with supposedly 200 varieties of roses, statues, a gazebo, a fountain, and an Old Armory Building. In fact, this place has historical value holding a spot on the National Registrar of Historical Places having once housed a race track, brothel, bar, and carriage house! Sounds great, right? Eh, not as amazing as one would think. Perhaps I visited the gardens at the wrong time of year (mid-October) mixed with the drought because using the label "rose garden" on what I saw was a stretch. Don't get me wrong: the park is a peaceful and lovely attempt at lush paradise with birds, butterflies, tree edging, and lovely paths to traverse. It certainly has a romantic feel to it and is much recommended when trying to impress your partner or get a little pooty tang later. The problem is that there were barely any roses! We all commented that these were the most dead-looking bushes we have seen. Again, perhaps it isn't blooming season but it was quite a disappointment. Another let-down? The fountain wasn't even turned on either so it looked like an abandoned piece of architecture. All of this made the park look ill-kept and certainly deems it unworthy of being called a rose garden. Also a bit disconcerting is the high amount of ice cream/popsickle/junk food carts ringing their bells and trying to make sales. Some may find this pleasant with the accessibility to purchase snacks but we found it taking away from the ambiance and making the park a bit "ghetto". It just seems a bit classless in the environment. The plus side? The Exposition Rose Garden is free so is a nice spot to take a break in between your museum visits or simply go specifically to walk through some roses bushes. You can even bring a picnic basket and find a spot to have lunch. A great way to make some memories while on a budget! Have kiddos? The park is a nice spot for kids to run around switching it up from the usual playground or neighborhood park. There are lots of hiding spots and they will feel 'adult' due to the nature of the gardens (no pun intended). As expected, the Exposition Rose Garden can be used for weddings, photo shoots, etc (you have to contact the city). Overall, the Exposition Rose Garden is a lovely concept and certainly a better park than ones on the corner in your neighborhood but there were no roses, the fountain wasn't working, etc! I'll try to visit again in the spring/summer and see how it is. Either way, the Exposition Rose Garden is a solid spot to catch some fresh air.

Yelp
As an artist I was extremely excited to see this Rose Garden, the colors were so vibrant. The Garden was so clean and beautiful. This would be a perfect date get away with your honey, or if you love flowers or taking pictures. It's open from 8am to Sunset, did I mention it was FREE to get in lol

Yelp
What a beautiful spot! The size of the rose garden combined with the color variety and fountain in the middle make for a nice escape from all the concrete that surrounds LA. Due to the proximity to the science museum, there are a lot of families and classes/daycares that pass through during the weekday. The rose garden also seems to be a covert place to smoke ... we nearly got a contact high 2 times while visiting! There are many guys walking around with ice cream carts - which makes for nice treat after walking through the grounds. #treatyoself

Yelp
A cute reprieve from the hustle and bustle of downtown LA. Just a short walk from the Expo Line and from USC. There were people walking their dogs, having a picnic, and just generally enjoying the weather.
