Expressia Hotel Makassar

Always the top choice for an overnight stay when visiting Makassar. The rooms are clean with excellent amenities, complemented by an extraordinary view. Although I haven't dined there, there are plenty of food options nearby. It's a great place to spend time if you just want to relax in your room and not venture too far.

This hotel has a very strategic location, seaside of Losari. Neighbor with hawker food, minimarket, nice restaurant, and souvenir store

Fantastic location overlooking the sea. Smaller type no frills hotel prices are mid range prices. Pay extra for the sea views they are worth it and amazing. Rooms are comfortable and smaller. Bathroom is fantastic with a great shower with adequate hot water. Don't take the breakfast option there's another hotel across the road with a buffet breakfast at local prices, or any local cafe. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This place is extremely dirty. There is a small air conditioner but it is not working so it’s hot like hell. The only thing which is positive is the location and the view on the mosque.

A simple, no frills, hotel at a good price and in a good location. The rooms are small but adequate, and the bathrooms are exceptional (with a full length window to the bedroom - don't worry, it has a blind) . TV channels are mainly Indonesian, but with at least one English movie channel and Discovery/Animal Planet/AXN. Pay a little more and get a sea view.... Maybe because of COVID (and so reduced guest numbers) the breakfast was unimpressive so you may want to skip this and just go to one of the many local coffee shops/warungs/kaki lima. The rooftop is unfortunately closed at the moment. The receptionists are very helpful and friendly! Two small observations are that the hot water wasn't very hot at all, and that the bed linen was stained - not in a gross way, but just in a 'getting old and no longer white' way. This was not a deal-breaker for us, and I still give it 5 stars and would stay there again. Exceptional value for quality of room and location.

I stayed for 1 night in a room with ocean view. The room is very clean and the decoration is pretty sweet. The location is the best. It's close to everything, because it's located exactly in front of losari beach. ||If you like the quiet place, it's probably not an option. But if you like being in central of tourist attraction, this is your place. ||The staffs is very nice and helpful.||But if I may give some suggestions to the management, expressia should upgrade their towels and bed sheets periodically.

Modern rooms super clean by Indonesian standards, high quality bathroom. Though the standard room window looked out on a wall and the roof top was closed. Friendly staff, right on the water front.

Stayed here for NYE. Very difficult to find parking. Eventually had to park on the street and blocked other cars who also parked on the street. We had to give the hotel staff our car keys so that they could move our car if needed, which is risky. We were hoping to have a quiet night by the seaside but the floor above us had what seemed to be a hotel-sponsored party/karaoke event. The music was VERY loud and annoying and disturbed our sleep and our child's sleep too. If we wanted loud music, we would've walked to Pantai Losari instead of stay at a hotel... :/ Very disappointed with the lack of consideration for other hotel guests' comfort and desire for peace and quiet. This staycation was the opposite of restful. Will not stay here again. At least the air conditioner worked. And the view of the ocean was good. The sheets were stained and off-white color, as if they once had been white but not any longer. The mirror in the bathroom was very corroded. The windows were not reflective so the room got quite hot if curtains were open and AC was off. The breakfast menu was very limited. When I was there, they only served juice, coffee, white bread, margarine/sprinkles/chocolate spread, white rice, chicken, and mixed sauteed vegetables.
