Where to Stay in Austin When You Visit (Updated 2025)

"I point to Extended Stay America on the edge of Zilker as the most budget-friendly option in that area, noting most rooms have kitchenettes and dining space which is useful if you want to save by cooking." - Matthew Kepnes

Todd and Sharra are fantastic!! They both have amazing energy, but wow! Those two together are a wonderful breath of fresh air!! It is contagious! It was definitely unexpected walking into the wonderful environment they both create together. It is so rare to encounter people at work that seem truly happy to be there. Management is blessed to have those two. Many thanks!

Overall a great stay. We checked in late in the evening. The staff was amazing! Todd and Sharra were a wonderful breath of fresh air after a long trip. I will say they made our stay far above and beyond expectations. It was definitely unexpected walking into the inviting environment they both create. Many thanks!

My husband booked a room here for two nights through the American Cancer Society for my father in laws major surgery, we’re from out of town. When checking in at the front desk, we noticed the lobby floors were extremely dirty. The desk Clerk had children with her running around behind the front desk, and as she was talking to us there were other guests near by listening to our conversation and she loudly said our room number multiple times out loud which made us very uncomfortable. When entering the room, it was so visibly dirty. The toilet was broken and the bed was covered with hair. We immediately went to the front desk to request another room. The desk Clerk apologized and got us a new room, but it was just as equally dirty. I took a picture of the bathtub for reference. The next day, we spent the entire day at the hospital for the surgery and got back to the hotel at 8 PM. When we got there, our room key wasn’t working. My husband asked a woman walking by with a lanyard and hotel keys so assumed an employee, if she knew why the key wasn’t working. He was immediately met with hostility and a rude reply “it’s because you’re not even checked in”. He was confused by this because 1) how would she just assume that and 2) we booked for two nights. He went back to the front desk to see what the issue was, and turns out there was a mistake where we were checked in to a different room number? They fixed the mistake and we understood that mistakes happen, but he asked who the rude employee was that he encountered, and guess what? It was the manager named “Kendra” EXTREMELY unprofessional especially coming from a MANAGER. We will never be back to this location. There must be better hotels in the area, please anyone reading this stay far away from this place. Hopefully “management” sees this review and gives us our damn money back.

On Christmas Eve after experience a terrible manager (Carolyn) at the Extended Stay on Dobson/Baseline a reservation rep set me up with another reservation at this location. Extended Stay, 455 W Baseline Road, Mesa, Az near (country club/60 Highway). Don’t stay there . I asked front desk if she can provide a room that’s not near an elevator. She gave me a room right directly above a gazebo where everyone including transients smoke drugs. It was like the street corner for street nightlife comes together. DONT stay there. Also, found blood stain on my sheets and clumps of hair in the shower. It was disgusting. See picture .

Google
The hotel had just finished a complete remodel prior to my stay - everything was new, very clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, especially Sharra - she made me feel like I was home & staying with family. Highly recommend!

Google
My family and I are between homes and new to this area. Have been having a great experience with the staff and everyone here is very friendly. The manager Kendra deserves a raise because she certainly does a lot more work than most people do. She fills multiple roles and I have never heard her complain. The entire staff deserves a raise for the outstanding work they do even off the clock !! They make everyone who are between homes here feel like this is home and not just a hotel. 🥰🥰🥰

Google
I had a stay in Extended Stay America in Mesa/ Phoenix from 12/11–12/13, and there were several issues that were never disclosed before or during check-in. There was active construction occurring from 12/10 through 12/13, which has caused the following problems: - Strong paint fumes throughout the hallway - Elevators not working, requiring use of stairs - The main lobby entrance is closed, forcing guests to use a side door - The side entrance is being kept open with a rock all night, which is a security concern -No notice or warning was given at the time of booking or at check-in These issues have significantly impacted my stay, comfort, and safety. Because these conditions were not disclosed beforehand. I did try calling and emailing the hotel the day of asking to resolve or request a partial refund or receive credit. I get a call today 12/16 asking how my stay went and informing me “there is no refund or anything they can do because the construction is necessary” I’ve never experienced these many issues in a hotel stay definitely never booking here

Google
Don't bother. The entire facility is run down, including the rooms with marred up floors, junk beds and furniture, and the cooling / heating units don't function. Service is horrible. The desk clerks arrive late, are rude and talk down to people, and charge your credit card full-boat, plus extra fees, even when you immediately vacate the disgusting room and hand them back your room key. It's very difficult to get to, weaving down side streets to access the facility. Deceptive advertising. The photos are not representative of the facility or the amenities, and when you ask for a refund, they lie to you, and claim they charged a "virtual credit card" from your booking agent, when in fact, they take your credit card and run it directly. Not BBB accredited at this location! I canceled timely, yet still cannot get a refund for almost $300 for a stay I never made, and no services were rendered. Rip off joint!

Yelp
The room was clean and well maintained. However, at check-in, we were informed that the breakfast was no longer available. Add to that the facility was recently downgraded from Premium to Select. This means that, while you have a stove and full-sized refrigerator/freezer, plus a microwave, you had no utensils to cook with or eat with. No dish towels, only 2 towels at all, no paper towels, no drainboard, no dishes. But you could purchase a $40 set of cookware, and a $30 set of dishes. Wow. Other amenities were missing, such as an outlet to charge your cell phone on each side of the bed. They did have a nice dresser, and plenty of cabinets for the dishes you don't have. By the way, did you want a warm shower? How about cold water? If not, you'll be happy. However, if you want a shower warmer than you body temperature, you might want to look elsewhere. The front desk said that showers use so much more water, which is why we are out. Ummm, we tried letting it warm up for 5 minutes, and it never reached higher than tepid. Cold water? Well, put some tepid water in your water bottle and refrigerate or freeze it. There. Now you have cold water. Seriously, I would not recommend this facility for an extended stay at all.

Yelp
DOGS: If you bring a dog in, just tell them, it's a service animal. Don't answer any other questions other than what does it do they have a policy here where they walk close to the border of violating your rights by asking "what's the dogs occupation?" just say mobility or else they're gonna charge you for an emotional support animal, not a good look.. I've never had such a hard bed at a hotel, the counter top edges are falling off. The "breakfast" and coffee is a little insulting they have cheap processed cereal bars, cheap nasty processed muffins, and cheap coffee. Also the red headed manager seems to not like where she is. The owner has obviously pocketed any kind of renavation money.
google avatar

Julie C.

Yelp
The rooms are outdated. The bed was absolutely horrible and the sheets were like sleeping on sandpaper. The bathrooms need to be updated. There is mold on the ceilings. There is also a fan that runs in the bathroom 24/7. Also the tv was old and the remote worked off and on. I would like to add regardless of the horrible condition of the hotel the front desk help were courteous and very helpful. It's almost like the hotel is letting them down.

Riley A.

Yelp
- arrived there and it was not as advertised, rooms do not look like picture at all - AC barely worked - I was scheduled for 2 nights immediately tried to cancel they wouldn't help at all, I would have been fine paying for one night, was there no more than 10 minutes - horrible help from the front desk, do not book here at all

Yelp
Upon arriving at the Mesa location quite a few people were ahead of me. The nice lady at the counter greeted me. After giving her the rundown, she told me they routinely have problems with the Booking site. She helped me cancel my reservations with Booking and made new reservations at their location. An hour later, it was my turn in line and I was able to pay and check in to my room. For some reason she was the only employee at the counter that afternoon. I wish I could say everything was great after this. I cannot. Entering my room I noticed numerous things. No smoke detector, no dishes or utensils, both bathroom sink and tub filled with water and draining slow, plus someone had used the shampoo provided and one towel was missing. Went back to the front desk. They promised to send someone for the drains. Found out If you desire dishes or utensils must ask for them at front desk. Long story short, nobody ever came to fix the drains after asking about it several times over the course of four days. I was sorely disappointed as I was looking forward to a long bath. Interestingly enough when I mentioned this upon check out, a different lady at the front desk said she would send someone over right away. Wow that's a day late and a dollar short I think! I will not be staying at an Extended Stay America anytime soon. Or using the Booking website to secure reservations. This is a two part review as their sister location is included at: 14245 South 50th Street Phoenix, Arizona 85044

Yelp
This hotel was very disgusting! The carpet has not been vacuumed. The shower has not been cleaned. A cockroach ran across the kitchen floor. The kitchen counter is peeling off. The tub would not turn all the way off and ran steady all night. The room smelled like cigarettes mixed with poop. I booked this place for a work trip thinking the kitchen would be a nice feature for my guys. We checked out the next morning and went to another hotel.

Yelp
Extended stay America sux. They put me in their do not rent and wont say why. Their staff is prejudiced and stuck up. The last room i had the refrigerator door opened the wrong way against the wall and the bathtub was gross. The front doorbell did not close properly and the knobs and such appeared dirty. As it is, they DON'T CARE to go the extra mile and help me with DO NOT RENT.

Yelp
Giving two stars and not zero as the people who work here seem friendly. Unfortunately when you have been traveling with a young child and the website clearly says check in at 3pm but are told no rooms available till 5pm, maybe, but no guarantees ... We immediately took off and found another hotel nearby and checked in without issue. Now for the long process of getting a refund.

Larissa C.

Yelp
First impression walking up wasn't all that bad. When we got inside to our room the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The floors were gross and sticky, the toilet was NOT clean, and the bed was so squeaky we woke up every time we moved in our sleep, and the towels had someone else's hair on them. We had to stay here because it was "cheap" but even that was expensive. Would not recommend staying here. The area did not feel safe at all.

Yelp
Overall positive experience for a couple weeks of temporary housing. As a general rule, my preference is to avoid this situation. However, the room size of my SW corner suite was amazing, like two rooms in one. Service was okay. Kinda of a weird hotel layout, singular entrance, but not a problem. Plenty of shopping and restaurants in close, walking proximity. Toss up between this hotel and Home Town Suites - both functional.

Pat A.

Yelp
I have read many of the recent reviews, and I think they made a difference in improving customer service and cleanliness. Every staff person I encountered, including one out the back exit door, asked if they could help me. The price was great for this time of year, the room was very large, AC worked extra well, and the queen bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was the stinginess of kitchen ware. One large plate, one small plate, one glass, one set of utensils...you get the theme. Yes, I was the only person staying in the room, but at least give two of each...kind of like towels. So in summary, if you want a reasonable place to stay, I would recommend it.

Yelp
Not the worst motel I've ever stayed in, but not far from that either. Because we were arriving later than expected, I called the front desk to make sure they had my reservation. The person who answered said she couldn't get to the computer to check, but if I thought I had a reservation, then I probably did. She refused to check and call me back when the computers were available. When we arrived into our room, a cockroach was waiting for us on the kitchen counter. We decided then to check out the next day instead of staying for the 4 nights we had reserved. We didn't want to get cockroaches in our luggage. I called the front desk to let them know. Unfortunately, the clerk checked us out immediately, so our internet stopped working. I didn't realize why the internet stopped for us, so I called the hotel's tech support line. They were the ones that figured out that the clerk had checked us out - despite her assuring me earlier that she had not done so. The room was in poor condition and everything was of low quality.

Yelp
Dirty! Dirty! Dirty! The bed was awful! Urine on the floor, greasy mark on the mirror, and the carpet was sooooo dirty. When I picked up the phone to call the front desk the phone had something all over it and it got on my face. Gross gross gross! Spend your money elsewhere! We left and got a room at Laquinta.

Yelp
I had the worst experience. I booked my hotel in advance. i had my confirmation wjd everything setup. I drove 22hrs to relocate back to Arizona. I show up and they inform me they gave my room away. they had no more rooms. very unprofessional staff at the front no consideration towards my situation. I started crying and no one even help me out. I was exhausted from the long drive. I call the company they would not give me another room nor a deal. would not assist in anyway. I would say this was the worst experience. I would not recommend this hotel.

B U.

Yelp
Rating dropped. They changed the locks on all of the rooms to probably better locks but did not COMMINICATE the change to anyone. So, when you got back to your room to discover your lock changed and your key card doesn't work you had to go back to the front desk, in my case from the top floor, to ask for a new card. This must have been a CORPORATE decision to not inform your guests PRIOR to this happening so they are prepared. This is after a week and a half waiting for someone to repair the stove top in the room. Future notice ESA... kitchen amenities be damned, I'm going to the Sheraton.

Yelp
Okay, so I had to clean the hairs of the last guest off the sink, out the tub, and off the bedsheets. Look, you get what you pay for. It was cheap and I needed a place to stay between moves. I will say, the staff was very friendly. It made up for the disgusting smell and trash in the halls, and for what I told myself was just black lint in the bedsheets. The overpriced vending machine is there if you need it. Take the stairs, it's faster than the elevator. And try to park near the entrance, in case you need to run from anyone questionable in the parking lot. Not that the lock worked well on my room door.... The fire alarm went on randomly one day. All guests made their way out into the hallway. Then it suddenly went off. We assumed the staff addressed it, but were never informed of what was actually going on. We all just went back to our rooms. Good thing it wasn't a real fire, it probably would've been mishandled. If you like to save a buck it's the place for you. Don't expect much else.

Yelp
Arrived at 1235p to see if any rooms were available for early checkin (check in time 3p which I understood). Woman at front desk said no rooms available right now but if we checked in before 3p there would be a $10 per hour charge for hours before 3pm. Maybe luckily I have never experienced this before at any other hotel chains but because of this policy towards customer service I will never stay at another Extended Stay property. Yes luckily our reservation allowed us to cancel with no charges and we moved to another hotel down the street that WELCOMED US 3hrs early from their 4p checkin time... Inn of Chandler .

Yelp
I've stayed in my fair share of cheaper hotels, but man... this. Place. Is. Gross. And the customer service unfortunately wasn't much better. We arrived for a late check-in around midnight. The front desk woman (who also was apart if housekeeping) was clearly irritated that we showed up so late, continuously repeating now she had to hurry up and check us in because the computers shut off at 1. Okay, I'm sorry we came so late, I didn't know. Secondly, we came with two small dogs, at 25 dollars a dog for two nights that's 100 bucks I expected to pay, but from her attitude and the way she talked to me, it was almost like she expected me to complain and have a problem with it. I don't know what her issue was but we felt very unwanted and almost judged because we're a couple of young kids with dogs who showed ... Now for the room. The room she assigned us to was not cleaned. As in, house keeping didnt clean the room from the previous guest. Bed was slept in, bathroom towels used and on the floor. We get a new room with a made bed and fresh towels but WOW. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was sticky, greasy, covered in CLUMPS of hair. I'm talking TV remote, the head board for the bed, the armchair looks like it's stained in puke. You can't expect the world from a cheap place to stay, but here they clearly do the BARE MINIMUM and it's totally unacceptable. Never coming back.

Yelp
I Will never stay here again!! First problem was once I got into our room it smelled like syrup, I was wondering why this could be and only two possible reasons. Either someone spilled syrup and they didn't take time to clean the room, or it's old pee that has just been there! I have many other reason not to stay here but the other big one for me was ; Our toilet got clogged at 6am, when confronting the front desk and letting them know, she told me well your checking out today so I'll let maintenance know. What was I supposed to do about using the bathroom?? They don't have any public once down in the lobby so basically I was assed out! Overall just very irritated with my stay here

Yelp
On Saturday, Jan. 11th, my daughter stayed at this location. Her car was towed from the parking lot. She was displaying the appropriate parking pass, supplied by the front desk. This happened to at least 2 other guests that weekend, because she met them at the tow yard when retrieving her car. The desk clerk, male-name unknown, was incredibly rude to her and unable to supply the name of the towing company. Since that time we have been unable to contact anyone who can tell us anything about what happened. It is impossible to get the corporate office on the phone, and the desk clerk was rude and angry when questioned. Don't stay here, you might lose your car. I would give them zero stars, but the app won't let me.

M. R.

Yelp
stayed here over a weekend. It was serviceable, but I would not recommend it. Their cleaning regimen seemed dubious and items in the room were not in particularly good condition. Their check-in/ check-out procedures lack some efficiency and the staff was curt, while never actually being rude. I enjoyed the stay for my personal experience, but would not stay there again. Just not a place that engenders much confidence in their quality and cleanliness.

Yelp
I am here as my company contracts with the ESA so I've been to many! Usually I Have nothing but good experiences however this travel job brought me to Mesa AZ, the place seemed put together I'm here for 3 months at 530$ a week ( that's the discounted corporate price) it's not cheap! I have the normal parking pass they ask you to place in your window nIghtly, however my tags are expired and my car is a 2017 luxury car and the tags are not cheap at 625$ to renew, that being said they towed my car, I could understand if it looked abandoned or just junky however it is quite opposite! Since when does the expired tags matter if it's not tHe police enforcing this? That's my business not theirs, well they're towing vehicles left and right from us good paying customers and there's no it a persson in the hotel, corporate office or anywhere else to discuss this with...if I was not contracted to stay here I'd be gone without giving another dollar to them! Please beware, they should be loosing customers with these antics! There's many hotels in the vicinity so look elsewhere, because coming here is comparable to a shelter or jail with rulles, I'm not sure whose really in charge as no one Will listen or discuss , do yourself a favor and save your money, your better off at the studio 6 if you need to cook because this place will definitely cost you! Such a disappointment for a placc Such a disappointment, the only one I've ever had issues with worldwide....e I'd normally praise as a home away from home.

C R.

Yelp
This is a hotel where people live! It was terrible, I will be weary of booking with Extended Stay hotels after this. Its what we call a tweeker hotel. Druggies doin their freak out thing in the parking lot, trash bags in the hallways, stray earrings and pills on the floor in the room, shopping cart in front of the lobby door, strange people. Felt dirty and unsafe.

Steph Y.

Yelp
Very disappointing and poor service!!! Arrived at 1am and was going to stay for a few hours to check out in the morning. The hotel charged an extra $50 for an "early check in fee" for arriving after midnight. If I waited until 3am, they would consider waiving it. This is a ridiculous charge for a few hours of rest and the fees were not fully disclosed on the booking site. Considering that I spent most of the day on the road and it was a non refundable room, I had no other choice than to spend the night. If I had known, I wouldn't have considered this hotel. This place was only convenient because it was down the street from my rest stop.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!.!..!.! Arizona was under a heat advisory and this hotel would not honor the reservation I made for my mother who is DISABLED!.!.!.!. Because their employee made a mistake!. I called and spoke to the manager on duty that night who would not give me her name!. I was on the phone crying to her because of the thought of my DISABLED mother going home to a house with NO AIR CONDITIONER! She had absolutely no sympathy. And she ended up just hanging up on me. My sister and my DISABLED Mother were there in the parking lot. When my sister went inside and try to resolve this problem with the manager, The manager just went into the back office. And never came back out! I called the corporate office who told me they would pass the problem on to the district manager and he would call me within 48 hours! He never called! It has been almost 2 weeks now!

Kendall H.

Yelp
This place was actually disgusting don't go here!!!! I made the fatal mistake of booking here and the SMELL WAS HORRIBLE! It smells like actual dead bodies and horse feces here. Immediately as I entered my room, I called the front desk and told them I would not be staying here it SMELT SO BAD! Decaying dead bodies and urine and dog poop. The ENTIRE HOTEL smelt disgusting like this!!! I immediately checked out and stayed elsewhere. They wouldn't refund me my 100$ for the night even though I left immediately. This place is DISGUSTING!!! It smelt sooooo bad words cannot even describe the horrible putrid stink
google avatar

Alex O.

Yelp
Great friendly staff. Room was clean, location of hotel was near major streets and destinations. I will stay here again when in the area as I stay at these hotel chains whenever I travel.

Yelp
Stairwell was filthy/sticky/wet everyday. I was next door to a small terrified or lonely dog that barked constantly, but that's the owner's fault. Service was great. They allowed late checkout and granted my room request (non-smoking, top floor). Room was clean and in good condition, though the carpet was a bit stained. Also, the shower only got partial pressure because water would come out of the bath faucet simultaneously.

Yelp
When my air conditioner in my home went out my landlord directed me here. I was appalled! When walking from the parking lot to the hotel room there was a man in a room window taking pictures or video of me. Upon entering the lobby there was a musty smell but I was too tired to care much. I checked in and went back out to the car to get my bags and was again recorded by the man in the window. I walked into the elevator and was blasted with the smell of marijuana. Hello contact high!! I got out of the elevator and amazingly the smell was even stronger in the hallway. I got to my room and realized that every surface was dirty and grimy!! But it was late. I headed out to get some food and when I walked up to the elevator I saw a bullet hole in the elevator door. Good times. I got my dinner and brought it back (again recorded by the creepy man). I couldn't wash my hands enough. Out of morbid curiosity I opened the nightstand drawer and it appear to be filled with dirt and leaves.... which upon closer review I realized was marijuana debris. The only saving grace was that the rooms were fairly soundproof for a hotel of that caliber. I got up and got out of there as quick as I could to find a better hotel for the next few nights even if I had to pay additional out of pocket above what my landlord was willing to reimburse!

Yelp
The room never cooled off, the bedding was filthy, and lots of hair clumps in the shower. The check in lady was very nice though.

Yelp
If you decide to stay here Please Don't!!! My sister booked a room online for myself and my mom who are both disabled. In Arizona there is a extreme heat advisory in which our air didn't want to work. She made it Very clear when booking that she couldn't be there and gave him the whole situation in doing so the person was very helpful and accommodating and assured her that there would be No problems. WRONG!!! When I walked in the lobby the person who was supposed to be the front desk was sitting down in the lobby with a puppy and a very dirty pee pad. She see's me an slowly gets up. Her hair is oily the shirt looked 2 sizes too big and there was No friendly greeting? I proceeded to let her know my sister booked us a room and I was here to get keys (like we've done before in the past when traveling) Before pulling up the info and looking at All these conformation numbers She instantly cut me off to say that the information I had was simply a "reservation" and that I needed to pay for the room? Then she answers the phone and proceeded to help someone els while I was trying to ask if I needed to get ahold of my sister. Completely ignored me then once she's off the phone she ignores me. So I go outside to call my sister while my disabled mother is in the car and she asks if I could go inside to get a name because she was Very rude to my sister and hung up on her and Never answered the phone after that!!! So I go in to ask her name and the managers name and number and she proceeds to say she doesn't have to give her name and that she Is the manager! That's when I decided to take a picture and a small video. In the video that was the second time I asked for her name; the the guys she was helping she just left them and went into the back and Never came back out!!! So my sister paid for the room that we couldn't stay in because the front desk lady chose to be Very Rude and not want to do her job and simply pull up the reservation to see Yes it was booked paid for with four different confirmations!!! Absolutely Appalled at this place!!! This shouldn't even get a star I should be able to take the 2 stars it has away because it's such a terrible experience!!!

Yelp
This extended stay was very clean, the staff was very accommodating and nice. Was not disappointed at all, left very impressed will be back.

Yelp
Room was clean, quiet, free Wi-Fi, conveniently located to all amenities and shopping, and staff were friendly and helpful. Contrary to other reviews, there were no bugs!

Yelp
Worst place to stay!! The lady who works nights is beyond rude when is the General Manager going to do something! I've been here for months and thousands of dollars later she gets away with treating me like garbage and tells me when once again the key cards don't work she doesn't have to make me a key?? I can't get in and she refused to help me?? What kind of person won't let you go to bed after a 13 hour shift!! How is this ok?? It's not till I am beyond upset that she makes the key for MY room.. Who does that!!

I had to stay out in Arizona and this place was actually really nice to stay in. Although they didn't have a pool or gym, it was very nice considering the price. The hotel staff was nice for the most part, but some ladies were rude but they were in the back. The only complain I have is that on the third floor, you can hear steps on the roof while you are asleep. I don't know if it's mice or a small animal, but it is kind of disturbing. Also, there was a man just sitting outside of the hotel rooms, which is kind weird but I felt bad so I didn't say anything. However, they have a fridge & a microwave which is very convenient. The view was nice, the sunlight came in perfectly in the morning, making me feel refreshed by the vibe of the room. So to conclude my review, it's a very nice & simple hotel, but if you're scared of the dark or noises, you might want to stay on the second or first floor. :)

Yelp
Run down. So much tobacco smoke you can hardly breath walking down the hallways. Stains on the carpet and the chair. No shampoo, had to go across the street to the drug store to get some, most hotels leave you a small bottle. Noisy. There has to be something better than this place.

Yelp
I've stay at extended stay In mesa off of baseline and country club, great location, great customer service all the ladies at the front desk are nice, especially Cristina she helped me from the very first day I arrived . I would highly recommend this place rooms are clean. I'm currently still here that's how good it is and I'm a very picky person.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE! Worst place we have ever stayed. Between noisy "neighbors" at 3:00AM and the fire alarm being pulled by pranksters at 8AM and 1PM on our first day of staying here. Oh, and the promised cooking utensils and pots and pans in your room to cook a "home cooked" meal, not happening. When I called down to the front desk, I was told that housekeeping would bring some up "right away". Didn't happen. When I asked the next morning what happened. I was told (by the same front desk clerk" - "Oh, We will have to get them from an empty room." Lovely. And this is only day 2. We have paid for a week. Stay tuned. If we could get a refund, we'd leave.

Yelp
It is what it is... cheap rates, but you get what you pay for. When our family was displaced from our house for a few days was perfect for us, kitchen, cheap rates, but the smell in the hallways is not the best. Nothing a little Fabreeze and scented candle couldnt mask.

Yelp
Do not stay here. Booked a non smoking room with Priceline, they booked us a smoking room and refused to find us another room. Not to mention it was midnight and we just got off a plane

Yelp
Definitely filing a complaint with BBB!!!! Extremely bad experience!! Apparently they decided that their AC/Heater units all need cleaning on the weekend we booked our stay. We were rudely awakened on a Saturday morning with a guy telling us they have to clean the AC unit right at that moment. When I expressed my frustration, I was told "that's why we posted notices on the doors" as if THAT helped make me feel better about the intrusive wake up call. On an extremely hot summer day in July, they took the AC for about 2 hrs for cleaning. The rooms were also not cleaned properly and had nothing in them. No hair dryers, no hangers, no dishes/utensils. And when we would call the front desk for such items, we were made to feel guilty for asking them to bring these items to our room which made our stay less pleasant than it already was.

Yelp
Was EXTREMELY disappointed that the Extended Stay now has a limit of 40 lbs for dogs. I don't mind paying extra but don't appreciate that this change isn't advertised anywhere on their site. So we show up and now have to find another hotel. Their suggestion was Motel 6. Idiot.

Yelp
Wish I could give this place no stars. I have an ok room(suite) but the bathroom door doesn't shut right so you can't lock it and it will fly open if you touch it. The bathroom light went out and it took over a day of complaining for someone to fix it, had to my phone flashlight in there like I was camping?!? Then they had to maintenance the AC while I was there. They came when I was in the shower so ofc the door flew open when they touched it, I reached out of the shower and closed it. Finished up my shower put on the clothes I had in there booty shorts and a tank (my pjs) came out and the lady was knocking on my door, let's me know that they have to let ppl in my room to fix the AC and that they left a notice ahead of time. I said ok that's fine if they rly need to, but when she left I heard her tell the repair guy to "bring your dollars". Yeah I'm definitely not coming back here but I'm finishing up my stay since I'm not from here.

Yelp
I was so disappointed in this Extended Stay...This hotel was so dirty I didn't allow my dog to walk on the floor. The curtains had a big nasty stain on them. Had to ask for things for the room, trash can, coffee pot, etc...The next morning we checked out and found a very clean room at the Days Inn and Suites on Gilbert and Main. Much better. It was cheaper for the room and dog fee for what I paid at Extended Stay. Please Do Not Stay Here...

Yelp
I travel a lot for work and have to admit this is the best extended stay I have been at. The rooms are very clean. We had an issue with our AC and Garland was right up to fix it in an impressive time. The staff is very helpful and there is no doubt this hotel is ran well. I don't know what is better the comfortable clean room or the cheerful welcoming staff. Great place.

Yelp
Pretty good place it's not cheap but well worth staying got little kitchen with stove and big frig and microwave as well. Shoot dont agree go spend the night motel 6 or Knights Inn where they'll keep you up no matter what tweaker vill. Dont have to deal with no bull crap here plus nice Walmart and frys are across the street.

Yelp
I would not recommend this place if it was the last place to stay at!! We needed a cheap month to month place while we were buying our house no contract .. What we should have done was rented a apartment for the four months (we ended up staying two and going to an apartment month to month for the other..... We were on the ground floor and at night needed to put a towel under the door because of the roach problem not to mention the notice from other guests.. We got one coffee pouch when we first checked in but When we asked for more they told us no and that the towels were only delivered once a week when they came to clean unless we went to front desk which was fine until our personal towels went missing and were replaced by theirs ... They never did find our towels ... And insisted we not be there when they cleaned our room... Hmm wonder why... I'll quit rambling save your money and stay else where or get a cheap month to month apartment!

Yelp
I used vouchers for free nights as a way to keep me as I had a bad experience in Tucson. I was in Mesa on business and checked in. Room was fine...until I went to bed. I was chewed on by bed bugs and when I turned the light on, I noticed 3 of them on my bed. I immediately went to the front desk and she gave me another room. The new room was fine, although when I went down to the lobby for coffee, there was a man sleeping under a blanket on a chair and a woman asking to borrow some money. WOW. I vowed never again, and this time I mean it.
