We've been clients of Wyndham since 2014, and since then we have been experiencing problems related to the timeshare that we have purchased. Every time that we stay at a Wyndham resort, we are harassed to attend an update/workshop meeting. These meetings are always promised to last 60-90 minutes but end up being a 3-4 hours long sales pitch. The moment we arrive at these meetings, we are "attacked" by very aggressive sales reps; who not only pressure us into purchasing more points, but they also humiliate us for being smart enough to say "no".
In 2016, we thought that our problems with our timeshare would be resolved when Wyndham's sales representatives assured us that we could have everything we wanted for our vacations if we upgraded and purchased more points. Sadly, we soon found out that everything that the sales representatives assured and promised us was not true at all. We expended a large amount of money in hopes to finally have the timeshare that we were promised, and nothing changed or became any better.
Since 2017, we have been requesting the cancellation of our contract from Wyndham. We have sent Wyndham Resorts Corporate Headquarters 12 letters about our complaints with our timeshare so far. To this date, nothing has been done regarding our case or our complaints that we have filed. We have corresponded with multiple different "Case Specialists" at Wyndham who have all refused to help us. They only sent us multiple denial responses that have included these "reasons" for their denial to our cancellation requests: they claim that we don't have any proof of their representative's lies, that we have requested cancellation past their "5 day rescission period" (which we were never informed of when we bought the timeshare; not to mention, 5 days is NOT enough time to realize that you were scammed), and that our complaints could be based on "misunderstandings" (which we think is a polite way to call us "LIARS"). If we were lying, then we would be the only customers with these kinds of problems. Except, we recently found out on the internet that these aggressive sales tactics are considered the normal environment in Wyndham's update/workshops meetings. We wish we would have known or been warned about them before coming in contact with this company.
With this review, we want to be heard by all possible/future customers of Wyndham Resorts. We hope that this review will help prevent other innocent people from making the same mistake that we did. Please be careful if you come in contact with this company or their employees. They have no morals or souls to speak of and will trick you into making a huge mistake that will put you and your family in a very bad situation.
We have had enough. Knowing that the scandals this company performs are not illegal is very unsettling to us. We have been lied to, misrepresented, insulted, ignored, and all of our complaints and requests have been disregarded. We will continue to fight for the cancellation of our contract until Wyndham finally grants it.
