I cant say enough wonderful things about eyes on Main. I have a pair of broken Gucci oversized glasses that I bought at Neimans and put my own lenses in... And of course I broke them... Not knowing how to fix them. I called Isa on Main and spoke to Andy who is the most charming gentleman, and he told me to just come on over and he fix them right on the spot. All the staff is so friendly and nice and their prices are extremely fair. In fact, they're much more reasonable than my old optometrist office in New York City. I'm officially an eyes on main fan for life! Def a warm, inviting and Knowledgeable place - they do every time of customization for eyeglasses and sunglasses as well so check 'Em out! You won't regret it

Beautiful store right on Main Street with lots of easy parking on the side street. I stopped by with glasses to be tightened and they couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful. A lovely store owned by super nice people.

SHAME ON Eyes On Main I've been a customer at Eyes On Main for around 25 years. Back when the store was across the street from where it now is. They've always been on the expensive side, but not overly extreme, and they've always had a nice eclectic selection. However, over the years it seems perhaps they have come to cater to a clientele that doesn't care what they spend and probably thinks that the more they spend, the better it must be. I moved away to the Valley a few years ago and so I hadn't ordered from from them in a while. I wanted something custom so I returned to Eyes On Main as a client. I was able to customize a pair of frames as I wanted them. I knew I was overpaying for the frames ($575.00 I paid in full), but the prices Crystal quoted for the lenses seemed fair and I was happy with the frames. However, when the frames arrived and I went in to fit and pay for the lenses, the total price was shocking. Crystal began by telling me her boss said she could give whatever discount she wanted to give me on the lenses and then tells me it will be an additional $650.00 - including the discount - for the lenses! I took my frames without lenses and left. I went elsewhere and ordered the same type of lenses ( progressives, transitions and anti-glare) Crystal priced at $650.00 (discounted) for a total of $184.00. It pays to shop around! To add insult to injury, Eyes On Main took a photo of my frames, that I designed and paid for, and posted it to their Facebook, instagram and social media pages as store advertising without my permission.

A great selection of stylish frames, a nicely designed store, and wonderful service from Crystal who gave me a lot of options and was happy to help me find an attractive frame that would work with my prescription.

A few weeks ago, on a super windy day I brought my broken sunglasses into this store. I was super worried if they were fixable. Crystal greeted me very nicely and told me that she will look if she has the particular parts. Within 10 mins she came out with my perfectly fixed sunglasses! The unbelievable part is when I took out my wallet she said "don't worry about it". I was shocked to hear that! Not many businesses treat their customers like this and I was so impressed. I will definitely go back to this place when I need my glasses next time and recommend this shop to all of my friends! Thank you Crystal! You're amazing;)

What a gem! Eyes on Main is so wonderful. Crystal, who took my phone call and assessed my glasses that needed adjusting, was prompt and very helpful. I took my glasses in first thing Monday (by appointment only I believe!) and Andy was able to fix my wrecked glasses in 3 minutes, no problem. He is an absolute wizard with frames and lenses. I really appreciate both Crystal and Andy's helpfulness and also kindness. It's so hard to find such an efficient place with kind staff in a city. Eyes on Main has a neighborhood feel and they do a great job. Thank you Crystal and Andy for getting my sight back on track. I will for sure be going here for when I need a new pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses. GO HERE!

It is weird to write a review for something you want, but can't have- but that is what I experienced at Eyes on Main. 1) I have a flat nose bridge and have been looking all over LA and online for plastic glasses that have adjustable nose pads- WHICH EYES ON MAIN CAN DO! Awesome! 2) The selection is very classy and interesting, Awesome! 3) Here is where it got weird: A nice salesman started to help us, but it was unclear about how the process here is different than anywhere else- they ask for your contact information and the staff write down the items you are interested in. Normally I would try on many options, take photos of myself in the glasses for reference, and only talk with the staff about my favorites. There are signs saying no photos, but it wasn't clear to me what they don't want you to photograph (the store, the frames, yourself??). Since it wasn't clear, I asked the staff guy who had my contact information and was writing down my favorites if it was ok if I took pictures of me wearing the glasses to help with the selection process and he approved it. Then the store got busy and the salesman left to help other people. While waiting and trying on glasses, I took a picture of the number on the frame for reference. 4) This is where it got *extra* weird: The owner of the store, a tall older woman, saw me take a picture of the number and sniped "we don't allow you to take pictures of that information" and turned around to ignore me and keep helping other people. They created a situation where it was literally not possible to simultaneously browse/make a selection and follow their rules. I'm disappointed that I was not able to buy their product, but I won't buy things from people who yell at me. I appreciate that they don't want people to browse in their store and buy it cheaper online, but back to my first point- they provide a useful and unique service (adding adjustable nose pads) that is something you can't get online!

Spoke to a woman at the shop. Really, rude, abrupt and not interested in helping. Sarcastic and belittling , not sure why she works with general public. Belongs in a lab somewhere. Andy has always been kind and professional. Probably why that wonderful shop has been there for so long.

Happened to stop by to have my sunglass frames adjusted and Crystal went out of her way to make sure they were perfect! Just stopped again on a Sunday, yes they're open on Sunday, and Andy assisted me. Again, excellent service! Not to mention an outstanding selection of frames! This is now my "go to" store for glasses/frames!!!

I had bought glasses online from a different retailer when all the stores were closed due to the Covid shutdown; and needed them tightened. I called Eyes On Main, and the gentleman (Andy, I believe?) was able to fit me in immediately. I walked my glasses in, and he fixed them perfectly on the spot! He was so kind and helpful. As soon as I want to update any of my eyewear, I am 1000% going to Eyes On Main!

I look good. Crystal made sure of it, and provided the best customer service and fastest turnaround I have ever had in my 11 years of wearing glasses. Andy is also the man, and was able to assist expertly when Crystal was busy holding down the fort with other customers. Having lense work completed by such a professional on the spot is unheard of. The owner of the store Susie always has a fantastic selection and clearly knows style, and has created a welcoming environment fitting for Santa Monica. Cannot recommend more; great frames, fast and detailed service, and the most welcoming retail environment I have had the pleasure of shopping with (and I hate shopping). Thank you Eyes on Main!

Unique and well curated selection of glasses. While quality product is critical, customer service is invaluable. I brought in my favorite pair of of vintage shades with bent frames all around and with expert precision, they restored them to their original condition. And they could not have been more pleasant! The life of a pair of glasses is a rough one. They are stepped on, sat on, stretched, scratched, compressed so finding a shop to service your shades is critical. Eyes on Main delivers both well crafted products and unparalleled service.

Wow I can't believe this place. They offer a nice curated selection of glasses but have an atrocious customer service policy. You can't take a picture of the glasses on your face. They don't allow any photographs. Are you kidding me?! How am I supposed to decide if I want to purchase anything? I am not someone who just jumps into a pair of $500 frames. I want to consider my options even within the same store before I make a selection. Also I may want a friends opinion if they like them, and if they are not there with me I want to be able to text a pic to them of me with the glasses. Hey maybe even share with the friend what a great store I have found. How awesome the customer service was, etc. They are doing themselves a disservice by not allowing people to use technology to make a purchase decision. Get with the times people. Also the reason I went into a store to replace my Tom Ford frames is because I like having a nice customer service experience and spending some time trying on glasses and listening to suggestions. Otherwise I will just shop online. I mean I can find Celine glasses anywhere. Let's be real.

If you need new glasses and amazing customer service, go see Crystal! I think she's only there Tuesdays and Saturdays, but she is worth the wait. Sweet, professional, and will bend over backwards for you. Highly recommend her!

I used to frequent popular chain stores and I never realized how much I was missing out. Peerless customer service by Crystal. I had no clue what I wanted but Crystal was very patient and helped me find the right fit for me. She was also good about letting me know which frames would not work great for my face, which I very much appreciated. She's great at what she does and it looks like she's having fun as she does it so it was ACTUALLY fun buying new glasses. A couple months after my first purchase, Crystal did it AGAIN. She found the perfect sunglasses for me. For the first time, I'm excited to grab a new pair of specs =D I'm sure everyone there is great but I'd recommend asking for Crystal.

I wish I could give Eyes on Main a great review since Andy and Crystal were both as accommodating and helpful as they could be, but their lab lacks the knowledge and expertise of other optical shops/labs in the area. Back in early January I brought in my own frames and needed high prescription lenses. I wanted them as thin as possible (I even showed them my current glasses as an example) and was told it shouldn't be a problem. Long story short, after having my lenses recut twice their lab still couldn't get it right and to my satisfaction. I was told "it was the best they could do". Obviously "their best" wasn't good enough and rightly so I asked for a refund. Surprisingly, all I was offered was a store credit (by the owner Susie) for the $870 I spent on the lenses. Why would I want a store credit when I would probably never do business with them again? Rather than pursuing it any further, I came to an agreement with Andy for a refund of half of what I paid. I wasn't really happy with that, but I didn't want to waste any more of my time (I hadn't been happy with the lenses when I first got them back in February but with the Covid-19 pandemic their shop reduced their days and I was away on vacation so it was hard to coordinate anything). Bottom line, I got my lenses cut by The Good See Co. on the Venice Boardwalk (where I bought the frames in the first place) and they were able to get it even thinner (from a 12 which Eyes on Main said was the best they could do down to 8.5!!!) If you need the job done right the first time and a hassle-free experience go to Good See. They are highly professional, have a huge selection of designer/brand names and styles, are actually cheaper (I paid $800 for my new lenses) and know what their doing!

Andy is a miracle worker!! I thought my designer glasses were broken forever, but he fixed them! It took no time and they were both so nice. I highly recommend this store. They had a great collection of glasses as well. thanks!!!

Just dropped by to order new prescription readers and repair for old (stepped on) readers. Amazing frame selection and more amazing service. Added bonus: Carol was able to have scratched lenses replaced in her favorite sun glasses. We selected, ordered, went to lunch and picked up our glasses in less than three hours. It is really nice to deal with competent people. We will certainly be back.

Have been going to Eyes On Main for over 10 years and has become my eyewear shop of choice due to the friendly staff and the progressive styles that they carry. I was so pleased to find a great shop for eyeglasses right in my neighborhood. There are a variety of high-quality frames with an emphasis more on quality than volume. With the fantastic help I received from Suzanne (owner) and her assistant , I was able to find a frame that truly "fit" my face and personality. Suzanne understood my concerns and generously worked with me so that I was able to get a new pair of glasses and some readers as well! If you are tired of wandering around big shops where no one is able to make recommendations that work, I'd would definitely check this place out.

Hi. I just can't rave enough about the great experience I had at Eyes on Main. From my first phone call with Susie to the efficient and personalized service from Andy and the ultimate receipt of my glasses and sunglass clips, the entire staff at Eyes on Main took excellent care of me (and my Wonder Dog!). The warmth and kindness of everyone at Eyes on Main (I never did catch the name of the other lovely young woman who also works there, but here's a shout-out to her) far surpasses anything I've experienced at 99.999% of any other businesses I've been to. I won't get into specifics, but trust me when I tell you: they went far above and beyond, and for that, I am grateful.

Andy is awesome. Always a ball of sunshine when I walk in, super helpful and considerate too. He helped me get new glasses a few summers ago. I found Oliver people's ones they didn't carry, but he ordered two different colors for me so I could pick the one I wanted. He also helped me put new lenses in my old frames and went over all the coats and care, etc. I don't have any scratches in my glasses anymore. They also have a year warranty on lenses I utilized! The Oliver people's frame has a tendency to loosen up, and I visit often for Andy to tighten them - it's no problem and he's always welcoming. Also, the owner is female and she rotates local art within the store!

My wife and I have been going here for years and we've sent many other people. Susie and Chrystal work the floor. They are both really good at helping you home in on the frames that you are looking for and also super patient and low pressure while you decide. Beautiful stock and wonderful service (thanks, Andy).

Was referred to their business by a friend. Called and spoke to Andy, who was up front with me as to whether or not he could help me with my glasses, but told me to bring them in and he'd see what he could do. When I showed up, I showed him a pair of glasses that weren't the ones I really wanted him to work on. Now he could have blown smoke up my fourth point of contact and told me he can do this, do that, yadda yadda, worked on them, and then said, "well that was the best that I could do", and then pocketed my money. Instead, he told me that he was sorry, but if he tried to work on them, there was a chance they'd break, and then it just would have been a case of "whoops, sorry". So he was straight up with me, and said he couldn't work on them. I then gave him the pair that I really needed him to work on, and he told me no problem, that pair he could work on. And work on them he did. Got them back the next day looking like new! Now mind you - I wasn't a regular customer. He could have just been dismissive with me, and said "naaaaaw, can't do it". But he hooked me up, and it could not have been a more pleasant experience! He and Crystal could not have been more engaging, personable, pleasant - and professional! Sometimes when someone refers you to a business, you are disappointed in the experience. This was not one of those times. I could not have been more satisfied with my experience there. I'm glad I was referred to Eyes On Main. When I need something done with my glasses again, I know where to go! My only problem is coming up with nicknames for those two. People that cool, have to have nicknames.

In a time where customer service is generally lacking in most places, I found the opposite to be true at Eyes on Main. Crystal was incredibly kind and helpful from the moment I emailed them with a question, to the moment I went in to pick up the sunglasses she ordered for me. They have a really cool, unique selection of glasses. I love having glasses I don't see everyone else wearing. And since I can never have enough glasses, I will definitely be back to Eyes on Main!

I have been a client of Eyes on Main since 2001. Susie & Andy have been miracle workers, in addition to being knowledgeable & professional. They have bent over backwards many times over the years to accommodate my needs, & I cannot pay them high enough praise. In addition to the wide selection of frames at EoM, they are one of the few opticians to carry my favorite brand, SwissFlex. Sadly, SwissFlex is no longer, but lo! and behold, Andy has an "in" with the manufacturer & can procure the exact same products. Perhaps one could save some money going to Lenscrafters, et al., but you would be hard-pressed to find the same level of personal interaction & commitment anywhere else. I, for one, hope that Susie & Andy never retire!

I've been wearing glasses for 30+ years. Frequently I've had to send lenses back due to poor attention to detail and inaccurate measurements. Today I picked up my new frames from Eyes on Main a mere 2 days after ordering lenses. These Progressive Transitions lenses are the thinnest lightest best glasses I've ever had, and they got it right the first time. The staff at Eyes on Main are über proficient and highly skilled. Their attention to detail is without a flaw. There are not enough superlatives to describe my experience with Eyes on Main! Thank you!!!

Another five-star experience with Andy. I now refer to him as the sunglass/glasses whisperer, because I brought him a severely crushed pair of Barton Perriera glasses. I did not think that they were salvageable and Andy came to the rescue and completely restored them into perfect shape. Andy is so generous of his time and so kind, not only is he an expert at fixing glasses, his store also has a unique eclectic tasty inventory of beautiful glasses for all your needs. The best place to go for a stylin' pair of glasses! They got them done for me in three days (Friday to Monday!) That's awesome. Perfect lenses. I'm very happy with my purchase. This was the second time going to them for glasses and I think this will be my regular spot from now on. They are all very very friendly people and are super helpful when you need it, and also will leave you alone if you want the time to yourself to check out the frames. Highly recommended.

I am the self-elected president of Andy's fan club. More often than not, Andy's ideas are far better than my haphazard selections, and he is a most patient man, not saying a word when I twice came in with Gorilla Glue on my lenses. Just kindly fixed them. He completes his orders quickly and competently and he is easy to be with when you do things like try on a bunch of frames before you find one you like. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

At one point I spent 12 years with a single eyeglass frame, mostly because I so dreaded the experience of searching for a new one. Usually it's a struggle for me to find more than a couple of frames I like and the final decision a hesitant one. My last frame from 2 years ago was a major improvement but never fit my face comfortably, sliding down my nose with frustrating frequency. That brings me to Eyes On Main. Within a 2 minute walk from my work, I had been meaning to check out their selection since last year after reading the glowing Yelp reviews. I stopped on a whim during the tail end of a lunch break and it only took 5 minutes of Crystal's guidance to pull 6 frames for serious contention. The next day I returned, and Susie and Andy helped me narrow it down to one. They even offered to order a matte version of the frame just so I had the option. A few days later I had my new frame, new lenses, and on top of that, Andy tweaked my old frames so that the legs actually reached around my ears. Something countless visits to my ophthalmologist's eyeglass department couldn't accomplish. This place is THE argument for ma and pa stores. An excellent selection and exceptional customer service. I love my new frames. In 20+ years of owning glasses, it's the first time I've truly felt that way.

If you like rude and expensive, don't miss this opportunity. My daughter brought my glasses in here for a repair while I was in Mexico. I bought them elsewhere 2 months prior and they were expensive. Unfortunately, my daughter didn't bring them back to the place I purchased them. This place charged me $75 to fix the arm. Way overcharged me. The rude lady told me it took them a whole half hour to work on them. Wow! They get more than my therapist. She gets $50 to work on me for 30 minutes. I asked for a copy of the repair slip so I could present to the shop I bought them at and she refused to give it to me! Can someone please explain why? Is this an unusual request?

Ordered prescription sunglasses from this shop, but was quite disappointed by the quality considering the high price (over $500 including frames), and the poor advice I received about the suitability of the frames for my prescription. The polarized coating on the frames was poorly applied, leaving a few bubbly specks on the lenses. At the edge of one lens by the nose piece the polarized coating is permanently rainbowed, like an oil slick, and is apparent in that eye when I wear them. My prescription is too strong for the curvature of the frame, distorting the edges of my field of vision significantly. Before I placed the order I asked if the curvature would be a problem and I was assured by the staff that it would not be.
