Eyre Square Townhouse is a great place to stay in Galway City. The location is fantastic and very central, which makes it super handy for going around the City. Mary, the manager, was incredibly nice and helpful. I was able to store my luggage there before I checked in, which was a huge convenience. The room had all the basic necessities and was very clean upon arrival, as was the bathroom. I'd definitely recommend it.

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better location. And while others have mentioned street noise, we heard nothing. Room 5 is on the second floor and faces the street, but was very, very quiet. The room had a king-sized bed (hard to come by in Europe) and a single bed with a pull-out trundle. The bathroom was spacious and the room was overall very comfortable. ||That said, this townhouse also fell short. The large clump of hair on the shower wall was a disappointment and when we went to inquire about sheets for the trundle bed, reception was locked up tight. We were able to find some in an accessible cabinet in the shared hallway. ||Our room also lacked a hair dryer and, again, when we went to ask reception, no one was there. I was not interested in going out in the cool Irish morning with wet hair, but I had no choice. ||I know this isn’t a hotel and hotel services should not be expected. But basic cleanliness and advertised amenities should be.

Very central location with an exceptionally friendly host. Mary gave us great recommendations for activities in Galway and helpful tips for our onward trip to Connemara. Many thanks to Mary and her husband for a wonderful stay!

convenient and close to downtown and bus/train station, and in a quiet neighborhood. Bed was comfortable, and individual A/C worked perfectly and was actually cold. Bathroom was spacious.

At first my husband and I were pretty upset with our room - not because of the room itself. We had issues with the heating unit and shower not staying hot for longer than a minute or so. (it was 32 degrees the night we arrived) Husband didn't even have time to wash himself before it ran cold, let alone shampooing. After talking to the front desk, they moved us to a much better room with a better heating unit and water as hot as we'd like. It was even a king room when we anticipated being moved to another compact. Having these basic amenities fixed helped improve our stay so much! The location is incredible. Not even two blocks and you are in the heart of restaurants/pubs/squares in Galway. We were stunned that even on Thursday when night life is in full effect, this street is quiet as could be. Highly recommend!

Brilliant experience here. Staff super friendly. The heating didn't work but the lovely gent from the front desk brought a hearer straight away and the room warmed up quickly.

Booked this last minute for an overnight stay. It was one of the more affordable places to stay that time. It is 500 meters to Tig Cóilí and other music pubs. Parking was a nightmare as we arrived at 21:00. Parking is by the street. Checking in was easy BUT there is no lift. Poor girl had to helps us carry 2 large cases. Bed was comfy. Good wifi and shower.

The stay was overall nice. The room itself wasn’t very clean. Our bedding had stains on it. The location was nice, but Galway is small enough that most hotels will have a decent location.

Yelp
Very conveniently located. About a 15 minute walk from the bus train station. Easy access to high street. Clean and friendly. Rooms on smallish side and could be a bit better laid out to use space more efficiently. Mattress was thin, but OK. Would stay again. Breakfast was just OK, though service was very friendly. I'd give it a 3.5 if the system allowed a decimal. WiFi was very spotty

Yelp
Excellent location. The check-in process was inconvenient. We needed some additional information and couldn't reach anyone by phone and the door to the building was locked. This was alarming as we already paid for the room and were visiting from the states. We found wifi at a nearby shop and found on their website that the reception area was supposed to be open at 11:30. So we continued to wait. It was nearly 1 before anyone arrived. The room itself was clean, small and basic. The water was hot, but the motion lighting in the bathroom turns off while you're in the shower so you have to step out to trigger it on again. That was an interesting situation. I thought the electricity in the hotel had gone out. The heating and cooling system worked well, and the widow let in a lot of light. The bed was VERY firm. It felt like we were lying on the ground. I wouldn't mind staying here again if I obtained a discounted rate through booking online but I wouldn't search this place out and pay the standard rate. Be aware that staff isn't present on the property continuously, and it may be difficult to reach someone. Also, the wifi worked very well for us.

Yelp
The location is great. The staff are friendly. The beds are comfortable. However, You get the bare minimum in amenities. The wifi did not work. I even went to the reception area to use it but still did not work. I booked this place to be able to use free wifi. That was the deciding factor. It did not even work when I was in the downstairs cafe either :( Please take down the free wifi sign on the post because it is very deceiving. I also had the unfortunate case of staying there while other noisy guests are staying in both rooms next to me. Pretty heavy footed guests who like to speak to each other loudly so that the whole world can listen to their conversations. I do not think I will be staying here again, unfortunately. P.S. on google it says free breakfast. That is not the case. It is discounted I think 10 or 15% off.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful little place to stay. Clean little room with nice bathroom. The owner is a lovely lady who went above and beyond to care for my mother and I while we were visiting in the middle of the snow storm. Other reviews are completely unjust. When we've called the reception they always answer even if not on site. Lower rates if you if you pay cash. I can't say enough wonderful things about how we were welcomed and treated during our stay. Kindest and most loving people we've met while in Ireland!! The cafe had the best breakfast we've had and the sweetest young Gal that helped us navigate the city. I wish we had skipped Dublin and came here first. If ever back in Galway we will return here!
