EZ Bait & Tackle

The staff are very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. There's lots and lots of fishing gear, lures, etc. This is not a casual stop to make. You need to be prepared to look around and/or shop. I would suggest you take two days, one to shop and one to recover. Whether you fish or not, you need to put EZ Bait & Tackle on your bucket list of unique shops and don't forget to actually go!

Amazing selection of all tackle, and an emphasis on local brands. Cashion Fishing Rods, Big Rock Tournament Shirts, Z-Man Lures, they have it all. Noah is the most pleasant and helpful staff member I've been helped by.

I have loved going to this place for many years now and it is still amazing to see the huge variety of lures they have from the floor to the ceiling. The staff have always asked me if I needed any help and have left me alone if I was just browsing for that day. They have helped me select the right gear for any fishing I want to do in fresh or saltwater and I hope to keep coming back for many years to come.

Honestly from the outside seems kinda small but once you walk inside they have anything you could need for fishing. I went yesterday with my fiance and didn't have enough time to truly look around but will definitely be back and prices aren't bad at all

Great selection of fresh water and saltwater tackle. The staff here are very knowledgeable and are willing to help with tackle selection and picking out the right rod and reel for your needs.

The experience and knowledge of the employees in this store is unmatched. You will not find the everyday fishing knowledge these guys have, this side of the sound!! These are real fishermen. They have the knowledge and experience to sell you what you need. And educate you on how, when and where to use it. If EZ Bait & Tackle ain't got it, you probably don't need it. Don't go to a bigger named store just to get ignored or not be able to talk to someone who knows fishing. Every employee in this store, including the young 10-11 year old fella, know their stuff. Fishing is what they do!!

The most well stocked tackle store in North Carolina! Ethanol free gas for boats and small equipment. Most of the staff is very knowledgeable about where the bite is and what they are biting on. If they by chance do not have something in stock they will order it and have it in a few days. The owner is there most days and takes care of his customers. It is well worth the drive and plan to spend at least an hour to see everything!

Great customer service the gentleman spent about 45 minutes with me picking me out a new rig. He has only been there for three months but it seem like he had been there for years. good quality employees like him are hard to come by hopefully EZ bait and tackle understand what they have and take care of him. I can't remember your name but thank you very much for helping me put my new rig together you were very knowledgeable and I appreciate you more than you know.

Really sorry I didn't get the young man's name, but I was in the store early afternoon on Wednesday, December 21. Just wanted to say he was the friendliest, most helpful young man I've seen in a long time. I was just in to pick up some gift cards so I can't tell you much about the actual shop but I can tell you this guy was awesome.

Thank you so much for the wonderful in-store experience. We stopped on the way back from the beach and my teenaged son was in absolute awe! Such a phenomenal selection and very knowledgeable staff who took the time to make great recommendations. We are looking forward to a return visit next time we're in the area. This place is a true MUST STOP store! Amazing!

Returning from a fishing trip last weekend, and decided to stop in after having passed it on the way down and wondering if the shop was worth visiting. I stepped inside the front door for just a few seconds and was completely blown away. Immense inventory in every category, room after room in a labyrinthine maze of tight aisles intended to jam even more gear into the space. I asked to be directed to the Z-man baits and I've never seen a larger selection of types, sizes and colors. There was a stool to access the top levels because baits were stacked floor to ceiling. This was a better stock than either Bass Pro or Cabelas. Prices were fair - $5.19 for a pack of Paddler Z vs. $4.49 at Cabelas, but this was a superior in-store experience. Knowledgeable staff too. They had more Gulp plastics than I've ever seen. If you are headed down to the Cape Fear or lower NC / SC areas on a fishing trip and are near Goldsboro, this is a MUST STOP for any avid angler. It will warm your heart to see so much gear calling out to you.
