Ezra Grill

Went last night for dinner. We made reservations in advance. When we arrived, they did not have our reservation. We were seated and the waiter came and was very aggressive. He then brought someone and they changed waiters. We asked 7 times for water and finally after 30 minutes a waiter came to our table to take our order. We asked him for water first before we place an order and he was rude about it and finally went to get us water. We placed our order. One person had an allergy to bread and said no bread for her order. He laughed, made fun of the allergy and then brought her order with the bread on top of it. They never came back to refill salads, getting water refills was like begging for something and the waiter never checked in to see if we needed anything. The rudeness of the waiter and the arrogance of the staff was terrible. The chicken was served undercooked to a point it was inedible. Be cautious and look at your check. They overcharge and make excuses. We paid it because we didn’t want to make a scene but bottom line is be careful Good luck

The number of salads alone will fill you up, leave room for the main course. The Jerusalem mix was worth the trip. To enjoy their menu fully, consider not eating before for at least eight hours.

As you sit down you are presented with a wide variety of fresh and tasty salads.Then there is a choice of grilled skewered meats.The waiters are attentive and respond immediately to any requests.The atmosphere is lively and the prices are reasonable.I would have my meats more flavoured, but aside from this,it is a great unpretentious place to eat and you won't leave hungry.

Where do I even begin??? With the great food ! Or with the great service, even when there are like 300 people around the restraints between families and celebratory events! With the great variety of foods and drinks! Or with a great middle eastern, Israeli atmosphere! Could it be that all age groups come and join the place!! Or the great Jerusalem weather to enjoy both the inside and the outside! Was it the endless food that kept being refilled including the bread, that was all fresh on the spot! Or the meats that were fresh and flavourful off the fire! Maybe you tell me where I should begin from 😆 Ultimately, great great place to go to. Regardless if you are a local, or a tourist. One if the classic places to take people to. I hope you enjoy, and maybe let me know what other places I should check out too!

I recommend this place for the taste of the food, the experience of "opening a table " as the local calls it. The grill person knows his job very well, anything we have ordered was made perfectly. You get lots of tapas salads that will be refilled as soon as the server see they are getting empty. If you order a main dish you don't need to pay for the appetizers, and or just eat the appetizers and you pay per head. Very recommended to tourist for the experience and flavors. Service was fast paced with a smile. I been in Israel for 2 weeks and been there twice. This is how much I enjoyed it.

Nice place. Wasn't feeling at first as I walked in snd there was no one to tell reservations (albeit plenty of space we didnt really need them). My friend really wanted to check this place out as the other place up thr street is usually very busy. I was hesitant as I wanted a simple quiet night. The service was for the mist part pretty good, they even gave us a shot of Johnny Black to make a L'Chaim. The salatim very fresh, tasty and plentiful. I could not get them all in one shot also they keep bringing more things, like grilled veggies and later on (not pictured here) chips. Also this is the first place ive gotten hummus w/o an extra charge - only thing missing, which I didn't ask about was rice and beans, but we had kore then plenty. Out came a hot fluffy laffa, and got busy. Before u know it our skewers came. For me 2 pargit, my friend got 2 kebabim. I don't tend to order meat dishes in a new place, i like to try it out first, so i was happy my buddy git them. Pargit, nicely cooked, sotlft, tender, juicy, flavorful ;). Surprisingly the kebabim were soft and fluffy, however they could've used a little bit more flavor- ny friend suggested kore parsley - the couple pieces of pargit of mine he tried he liked much more. Skipped dessert, too full and just not in the mood. I know right, who's not up for dessert ;)

Wow, just wow! When I first land in Israel I immediately plan my trip to Jerusalem so I can go and meet the owner and staff of “esra grill”. The service? 11/10 The cleanliness? 11/10 The food? 15/10! Everything in the experience of eating there is terrific, rich with flavor and color. If y’all around, go, you’d thank me. :)

Great place super service as soon as we sat down the table was full of variety of salads, by the time the meat come we were full 😀 😉
