Fantastic shop with a huge array of oils and vinegars to suit any taste. This shop is immaculate and beautifully set out. All the products are clearly marked. What we loved is that you can sample as many oils as you like before you commit to buying. Hannah was fantastic and explained the difference between the seasoned oils as well as the extra virgin olive oils. Hannah is definitely an expert in her field. Hannah also recommended buying the sample bottles before purchasing the bigger bottles to be sure we liked the oils before committing. After a a lot of testers we bought the Fresh Bright Basil, Koroneiki and Arbosana Oil. We will definitely be going back for more as the quality and taste of the oils is exceptional.

Wonderful selection of fine vinegars and oils! The customer service was excellent too! Thanks Brandon! I was able to put together some pallet loving pairs! Can’t wait to use them. They also have spices by Spice House.

I have loved this shop since it opened. I find the quality and selection are excellent. While I may only go once or twice a year, this shop ALWAYS seems to have something I can use for my purposes. I really appreciate having a locally-owned store selling such items.

Great place and service! I had a problem with the rewards app and the cashier was nice enough to fix the problem ASAP! Not a day later or even later that night, done in like an hour. I'm talking great service! Also so much new stuff like spices and cook book's! Love this place for holidays and weddings. Enough said, enjoy! Great spice rack as well!

I went with a family friend who got some of their olive oil as a gift. She liked it so much she wanted to buy some for herself. F. Oliver's is a great place to go if you are looking for high quality olive oil and/or balsamic vinegar. You are probably going to pay more than you normally would for olive oil or balsamic vinegar (especially if you have only bought these items in a grocery store as I have) but it is worth it. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I bought a small bottle of Petit Beurre olive oil as a gift for one of my sisters who has had issues with olive oil and she said it was like butter. The saleswoman was kind enough to gift wrap it and I didn't even have to ask! I will most likely be buying a bottle for myself and considering F. Oliver's for future gifts. They also have soaps, lip balm and some other skin care type products to check out.

F Oliver's is a must stop if in the Rochester area. Their products are beyond amazing. Each time we come home, we stock up on oils to bring back to AZ with us. Thank you for the amazing selection and great products.

Yelp
I have absolutely no clue why I have never written a review on this place.. well here we go. I've been here to pick up things for events and raffles.. Ive tried the oils and vinegars pre-Covid. Lots of fun things to try and it gives you ideas of things to use with different foods. (Mayer Lemon EVOO!) Oils as a garnish or to sauté with, make salad dressings, dip your bread..the list goes on. Thing is with Covid I have no idea if you can try anything? I would say ask.. I buy blind and I just go by a description so... What's nice is they ship and they have a few other locations. If you want to give a gift to someone who loves to cook but not sure what to get them. Come here you can get a bunch of different things or get a prepared box of boxed up oils and etc. Staff is friendly and helpful considering Covid it's not a big place and they will regulate the flow of customers if it gets a bit too much. What's good about this place is where it is, after you go in here depending the time frame you can pop in to Baker Street Bakery for some bread and treats. Check out Salty a lovely boutique store or go to Cafe Sasso, Glen Edith, The Chai Guy or Pittsford Dairy for some drinks and treats. Parking is street or behind the building on Somerton. Give them a whirl.

Yelp
I absolutely love any stop into F. Oliver's. Looking for a unique gift you know people will use? This is the spot! The staff here are total experts when it comes to helping you find a unique flavor profiles and combinations, and, while I haven't been in during the COVID times, know they have an amazing tasting process during the normal times. I adore their balsamics and am particularly partial to the fig and berry-based bottles. We always have F. Olivers with our Sunday sauce at my parents house - paired with some Wegmans garlic tuscan bread?! Forget it. I always look forward to my next order of oils and balsamics. Stop in if you have yet to, making stops at Salty and Baker Street Bakery in the awesome Somerton plaza. F. Olivers also has a location in Canandaigua. Happy dipping!

Yelp
I recall pre covid when you could taste things and roam. Either way the staff were nice and helpful. They had pairing ideas but I'm all about the balsamic n some things call for a smidgen of truffle oil.

Yelp
Welcome to F. Oliver's, home of Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars to fullfil any palate and menu palette. Definitely upscale, the staff is exceedingly helpful with recommendations on pairings of the two. I was the first to stop in for the Yelp Elite event kit. I left with a good deal more. Light to dark and robust, or infused with spice and herbs from around the world. I'm looking forward to the Yelp Elite tasting and exploring the additional items I got. Adding that Special panache to a home cooked meal or salad.

Yelp
This is a great store. They have a wide variety of olive oils and vinegars. They also have random items as well like spices and maple syrup. The person working was friendly and knowledgeable. She told me that after trying good olive oil, I would never go back and she was right. The olive oil is amazing and so is the vinegar. They have little sample packs that make great, unique gifts. Check them out!

Yelp
F.Oliver's is right next door between Baker Street Bakery and Wine Sense. They offer some of the freshest olive oils and infused vinegars in Rochester. Their service was great, offer advice on pairings, and provide sample. I wish they could offer more than one size, it's extremely difficult to chose (so many different varieties of oils, vinegars, and spices). I don't shop around for oil much, so I can't says the price is reasonable or not. it's about $15 per bottle (12oz). I can says that it'll make a great holiday gifts for your friends and family.

Yelp
Reasons to love F. Oliver's: + 18 Year Old Balsamic Vinegar + Super friendly and knowledgable staff + Locally owned + Beautiful gift wrapping - give it as gifts + Next to bakery and wine store and nearby coffee and restaurants... + Fun customer experience when sampling new flavors + 18 Year Old Balsamic Vinegar (OK, I know it's on here twice) I've tried many many balsamic vinegars, and this one is fabulous. I pour it right on my salads and keep a bottle in my office to add to my lunch salads. Yum!

Yelp
I'm in love with this place. I don't know why I haven't stopped in here more often. I was picking up some bread next door and thought, why not pop over to F. Olivers to see if there's anything tasty I could pair with it. I was greeted by the two staff members who were quick to ask if I'd been there before and shared some helpful information about their oils and balsamic vinegars. One employee showed me a few different varieties they offer, suggesting different pairing options between the olive oils and the balsamics. I was having a hard time not buying everything I tasted... that good. A few of my faves were the fig balsamic, the garden fresh gremolata oil (which I bought), sage with wild harvest mushroom (so savory), farmstand strawberry balsamic (great for a summer salad), and the 12-year old dark (simple, flavorful, non-infused balsamic). The oil was ~$15 for a ~12oz. bottle. I'll be serving it up with some homemade bread on Thanksgiving. I'll also be back to grab a few of their gift packs, which come with 2 oils and 2 balsamics. A perfect gift for my food-loving friends.

Yelp
After an awesome Yelp event here, I have proudly become a regular. All of the staff here is extremely knowledgable and can assist you in finding the perfect oils or vinegars for what you're looking to make. They also have introduced interesting flavor combinations that have only made my meals better. One of my favorites is their Meyer Lemon EVOO. It adds great lemon flavor without being overwhelming. I much prefer it over the Lemon Bouquet balsamic which has less lemon flavor and is a bit too sweet for my taste. Others you need to try: the Felix Oliver's Special Reserve balsamic which is good on pretty much everything, and their unique Petit Beurre that gives you great butter flavor without the guilt. They have tasting events and classes every month which are really worth going to. They also have recipes listed on their website, so once you buy one of their products, you can look up even more dishes to make with it.

Yelp
Visiting this place is always a great experience! There are so many varieties of oils and vinegars, flavors you wouldn't expect. The service is fantastic and Hayley was particularly helpful and knowledgeable!

Yelp
How has it taken me so long to write this review?! I love this place and how much tastier my cooking and salad dressings are using the specialty olive oil and vinegars from here. The staff is wonderful and will give you advice on pairings (you can sample before you buy) and sometimes even recipe cards if they match what you're buying. They have also started carrying the sampler packs year round, which is a great way to try a few things without purchasing the full size bottles. Always great to have businesses like this in the community.

Yelp
I've been meaning to get down to to Canandaigua to visit F. Oliver's for some time now, so I was ecstatic when walking down Park Ave to see they have set up a shop in the city! It's quite funny that F. Oliver's is nestled nicely between a bakery and a wine shop. For those who don't know, they specialize in oils and vinegars so quite literally it's the perfect pairing of 3 stores. The inside has a great clean, modern feel to it with a great staff to go along. We were greeted immediately and the employee started talking about the business and trying to get a feel for what we liked. You can sample every last vinegar and oil they have. Once we tried a bunch she started helping us combine oil and vinegars into one. I was blown away by the crazy concoctions that I thought had no business together into a senses blasting experience. Not really into the oil thing, I stayed with my balsamic vinegars with some of the fruity options not even tasting like vinegar but more like juice. Blueberry, pomegranate, raspberry, peach, coconut, pineapple and chocolate to just name a few. WIth little tasting cups everywhere, I probably went through a good 20 of them. However, I loved the fact that they had a small hand sink in the back to wash up! Slightly disappointed to hear they don't make their products themselves, however they import it exclusively. Everything in the store is $14.95 except the 18 year old aged special reserve, which is $16.95(highly recommended). You might think it's a little steep until you try it out. Simply put, its amazing! These are great house-warming gifts or for that hard to shop for someone(Mom).

Yelp
I am a big fan of this place and everything it has to offer! If you like balsamic vinegars and custom special oils, this is the place to go. The staff know the proper pairings, offer suggestions, and even if you don't like their suggestions you have the ability to mix oils and vinegars yourself and taste them yourself. There are huge metal jugs full of the oils and balsamics all across the store with all sorts of flavors, the standard and seasonal, and you will ALWAYS find what you're looking for, guaranteed. Best of yet, they're next to an AMAZING bakery whose breads go brilliantly well with any balsamic and oil (or combination) you might choose. I'm a particularly huge fan of the blackberry-ginger balsamic vinegar with basil extra virgin olive oil - it is a combination to die for! Crack some fresh black pepper into that and devour with any bread of your choice. Great for gifts, great for your family, great for yourself! Indulge and enjoy the awesomeness that is here!

Yelp
I've visited here several times and the experience is always excellent! The products offered both Olive Oil and Balsamic vinegars are amazing. I never knew you could pack so much flavor into these. All around the room are kettles filled with the different products that allow for you to sample anything being sold. The staff have always been friendly and very helpful. If you are unsure what you are looking for, they will take a moment to understand what types of flavors you are into & then proceed to mix different products to find something that matches your taste. Prices are a little high ~$14 a bottle but is absolutely worth it compared to the average oils and Balsamics you can pick up at Wegmans. I strongly suggest buying one of the special caps they offer for $1 more & are reusable, which help limit the flow from the bottle .

Yelp
I have been here a couple times while visiting family. Their selection and flavors just don't compare to any fancy olive oil place in Washington, DC! They let you sample as many flavors of oil and vinegar you like. We always stock up on their spicy olive oil and fruity vinegar- perfect for salads! Staff are super friendly and flavors change. Definitely stop in and get yourself some awesome oil and vinegar!

Yelp
Not sure what to make of their customer service. Not sure if it was due to the holiday rush, or if my race difference was a bit intimidating. I would love to believe it was the prior. That said, their shop looks great, smells great, but it is absolutely not inviting. They were all filling their bottles and did not seem very interested in helping a young man that did not fit the look of an olive oil purchaser??? The greeting of a simple hi, made me feel a bit awkward, then I aimlessly wandered the store trying to recite the alphabet because at least I knew how to do that...lol. I ended up getting something, and I have to say it was delicious. They just have to work on the way they introduce folks to their product.

Mindy J.

Yelp
We had an extremely friendly salesperson help us out and experienced some of the best service around. You can sample all the various balsamics and olive oils - and actually, our salesperson mixed some of the two for us to try out. Everything was super delicious and awesome. I ended up getting the reserve bottle of balsamic for $16-something as a gift for my friend's family. It was great! Highly recommended.

Kimberly J.

Yelp
What a cool store and friendly staff. I stopped in during the Park Ave fest, not necessarily intending to buy anything (had already read that the bottles of both olive oil and vinegar were about $14 a pop in the City last week), but left with a bottle of each... and that was using restraint. There were some flavors I was sure would not translate well in a balsamic (ginger, coconut) but everything that I tried was delicious. I did not catch the name of the woman who was working in the store, but she was super nice and mixed us some great sample combinations. (Dark chocolate balsamic + chipotle oil? Divine.)
