15 Best Bars in Madrid

"Beer nerds unite at Fábrica Maravillas, a minimally decorated cubby hole in Malasaña that so happens to be Madrid's only city-center brewpub. You're at the whim of Thierry Hascoët here—and that's a good thing. The French-born brewmaster personally makes every beer on the menu, from traditional stouts and IPAs to experimental brews flavored with carob pods and Spanish figs. The coolest part: They're all made in the beer lab that's visible from your barstool." - Benjamin Kemper

This place is sooo great with really nice atmosphere and warm welcome! Great local craft beers on taps and really tasty snacks for the beer. Thank you! If you want to drink some cool local craft beers, you should definitely come here! 🍻

A lovely little bar which brews its own beer on site and offers a friendly welcome. We had a Session IPA and some patatas bravado. A charming little place and we will visit again.

Local place brewing own beer. Smallish selection on tap. Friendly staff. Small tapas. We did not eat here.

Excellent spot with very friendly bartenders. They know how to make an expat feel at home! Compared to some other places, the craft brew selection is limited, but they're all top-notch. EDIT: Still my fave spot! Adding another 5 stars (under Food) since they periodically have delicious fresh oysters. Thierry and Fausto are incredibly welcoming. I'm so happy to have such a friendly spot so close to my new home.

I’ve lived in this city for 10 years, and this place has, without a doubt, some of the nicest, most down-to-earth service you’ll find in Madrid. They recently underwent a renovation and came back even stronger — now, in addition to the great beer, they offer fantastic extras like the French oysters they serve on Sundays (which are superb!). Highly recommended!

Really great craft beer, the best we tried in Madrid. Female owned. The tapas were good as well. Estefania was an excellent, friendly host and chatted with us for a while as there was only one other customer at the time. She said they are learning from Portland, Oregon. The lager was my favorite.

Worth the walk from the metro stop (10 mins). Owners were very friendly and knowledgable, regarding beer on offer. Although the beer choice was limited (on this visit), the standard was good. Would definitely revisit, on our return to Madrid.
