15 Best Bars in Madrid

"Beer nerds unite at Fábrica Maravillas, a minimally decorated cubby hole in Malasaña that so happens to be Madrid's only city-center brewpub. You're at the whim of Thierry Hascoët here—and that's a good thing. The French-born brewmaster personally makes every beer on the menu, from traditional stouts and IPAs to experimental brews flavored with carob pods and Spanish figs. The coolest part: They're all made in the beer lab that's visible from your barstool." - Benjamin Kemper

Really great craft beer, the best we tried in Madrid. Female owned. The tapas were good as well. Estefania was an excellent, friendly host and chatted with us for a while as there was only one other customer at the time. She said they are learning from Portland, Oregon. The lager was my favorite.

Worth the walk from the metro stop (10 mins). Owners were very friendly and knowledgable, regarding beer on offer. Although the beer choice was limited (on this visit), the standard was good. Would definitely revisit, on our return to Madrid.

Fantastic micro pub that brews it's own in house beers and serves them on draught. I was recommended this by an English ex pat who has lived in Span fir decades (Thank you Billy!) It really was excellent great choice of beers excellent service nice trendy space and the drinks are superb 👌🏼 Highly recommended if you like artisan beer

You gotta respect the only craft beer produced in central Madrid. The IPA is great, easy drinking. The space is cozy and the owner is a friendly guy.

Nice little bar that does beer and some nice looking snack food. V good service. British readers ignore that they serve Madri, a couple of nice beers they brew themselves

This place is amazing. They brew their own beer and have a nice selection of drinks. The tapa when you order is homemade mussels. They have the best cheese platters and the owners are so kind. Highly recommend!

Very cool atmosphere, and a decent array of styles of beer to choose from. Beers themselves are average. Pretty small inside, so you may have to wait for a seat. Service is good, but sometimes it was tough to order a beer with the amount of people at the counter. Very good English by staff for those who struggle with Spanish.
