Gotland is a beautiful island and Fabriken is an amazing hotel. The hotel is probably a god send for photography enthusiasts. Things are intentionally left rustic and scenery is intentionally grey and dystopian. It’s grey, minimalistic and yet totally beautiful, unique.||Furthermore the service is warm and the food is amazing. Breakfast is better than dinner I must say. Their self brewed gin is amazing and their wine selection delicious. ||Truly amazing, can only be experienced. |

One of Swedens most remarkable locations with an even more fantastic hotel. The food is just great as the kind staff. The mornings are just as beautiful as the sunsets in the evenings. Well worth a detour and a stay

We decided to stay at Fabriken Furillen after watching a tv show about amazing places. And Furillen sure is a fantastic place, breathtaking. The place is only open as a hotel 6 weeks every summer so we were happy to find a room during our stay at Gotland. We decided to stay there 4 nights. We went as a small family of 3 with our son age 8. What the hotel forgot to mention was that is simply not a place for kids. You get a short hint if you book the restaurant (Which is amazing but has nothing to do with the hotel) - the hint was (while booking the restaurant):||||"Kids We welcome both big and small gourmets, but we will ask you to respect the tranquillity many of our other guests seek when they come to dine and stay at Furillen." There you have it, if just we knew while booking the room we would have stayed 1 night instead of 4. It is an amazing place, but if you are a small family, stay no longer than 1 night. I feel sorry for the people who book this place for the tranquillity cause the hotel will be full of small families with babies and kids (like my selfe). If you want tranquillity make sure to book either "suite Vågstationen" or the Hermit Cabins cause a the hotel you will hear loud Kent in the "lounge" (I love Kent BTW) or steel doors slamming all night. And back to the title of this review. This hotel simply do not know what it wants to be. IT IS a fantastic place, and it could be so much more but Fabriken Furillen has lost its way and hopefully this review could help them fix the problem.

Furillen, an amazing hotel with nothing more to wish for! Gotland is a very special place and Furillen is even more so. Go and stay at this amazing hotel if you can! Besides the sights, surroundings and the hotel & food itself - this is Insta friendly and beyond. Things are intentionally left minimalistic and unique. The service is familiar, warm and great. The food, tasting menu, is beautiful and amazing. Breakfast is super nice. Don´t forget to borrow their free bicycles. We keep coming back to this fantastic place

Everything is so thought-out to perfection, even the gray/silver color of their free rental bikes. ||Super friendly staff, Hästens beds and minimalist beauty to every detail. ||The restaurant was over priced, food good but not excellent, wine list too rock n roll to our taste.||It was 13 degrees in July so the small fire place in our room was just lovely.||A must see and experience for those of you who don’t mind the bill.

beautiful surroundings for perfect pictures but nothing more. Hotel gives kind of lonely feeling and is lost without using the amazing potential in the area, so many cool things to do but simply note done. I love similar areas with such potential but without staff that truly cares it is lost.

hey,||we stayed at the hotel for a few days and this was our first trip to Gotland.||the island already is incredibly beautiful from a landscape point of view but the Fabriken Furillen ovhelmes each visitor with its unexpected sight. the hotel is incredibly located - as the center piece of a former kind of mine it faces directly the sea.||the integrated composition of raw northern landscape, industrial architecture and matching interior design reminds us of core Bauhaus: everything is such well thought through - you realize asking yourself, if it was nature or man who put all of this just perfecty together - a zillion photo opportunities.||plus:|- rooms with seaview and free bikes and hammocks|- love to details all over|- lonely stone beach with perfect sunset view|- very nice breakfast omlette and blåbår granola|- elizabeth is a blast|- calculate one day for pictures only / suicidal for generation instagram ||con:|- dinner was not run by the same people. unfortunately it did not match the approach of the hotel at all and was kind of tragic. just do not go there - do your own BBQ at the beach like we did.

We recently stayed at this hotel. We had two sea view rooms .||The hotel is beautiful but the service of the hotel not so good.||During our stay we had a shower that was clogged, a sink that was clogged, and a toilet that was leaking.||The clogged drains were fixed but the toilet was never fixed and we were told that the toilet was old and this could happen, but no one knew if the water coming out of the toilet was clean or dirty, and apparently all the plumbers were on vacation. Also the tv in the room was broken and out for service.(kids were not happy)||This was one of the rooms; in the other one we could not close the doors but a nice guy from the kitchen came and changed the hinges. ||We emailed the hotel owner after the first night but no answer !||At checkout we asked for some refund since we had not been able to use the toilet in one of our rooms (the rooms are 4000 / night so not cheap).||She said no and gave us some books instead !!||( one of the three books were a German cook book!!!)This is a very different and beautiful place but the service of the hotel was the worst we ever experienced in a high end hotel.||Restaurant was great and well worth the visit.

Yelp
One of the best summers of my life happened here in Gotland. At this surreal and dreamy hotel that is clearly a labor of love by the Hellström's. I love this family and everything they are doing. This hotel and the landscape is well worth the out of the way visit. It will leave you with unforgettable memories. I highly recommend visiting 1, 2, many times... I wish them all the best in 2018. Thank you for everything and keep doing what you are doing! X
