Factoria Hotel

I truly wanted to leave a positive review for this hotel because the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. Unfortunately, the unprofessional behavior of the check-in staff and the false accusations made by the cleaning crew have forced me to share a very different experience. On my very first night, I was accused of smoking in my room simply because I had left the “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door throughout the day. Later that evening, as I was returning to my room, the front desk confronted me and said that housekeeping had reported a smoking smell coming from my room. This accusation was completely false. I did not smoke in the room — and I never would. To immediately resolve the situation, I asked the staff to come up to my room with me so they could verify it themselves. Once inside, it was clear there was no smoking smell at all. Despite this, the damage was already done. Being falsely accused in this manner was extremely upsetting. I have traveled extensively around the world, from Tokyo, Indonesia, Thailand & Philippines to Kenia to numerous countries across Europe, having lived on three different continents over the past ten years. Never have I felt so unfairly treated in a hotel. This situation was handled poorly and without professionalism. It reflects a serious lack of competence in management, which is a real shame because the hotel itself has potential. The right course would have been to wait next time they could enter my room to check if there was any type of smell. However, due to this experience, I cannot recommend staying here — especially when there are many other excellent and better hotels in town to choose from.

The Lady Fatima in charge of Reservations was Fantastic and she gave my Daughter a Short History of the Hotel that intrigued her so much that she explored each inch of that Hotel... IT'S A MUST STAY.

Wonderful boutique hotel in a converted flour mill factory. Very large rooms with high ceilings. Big huge comfy beds. The bathroom is also large with a massive walk-in shower. ||The hotel itself is an attraction with a large array of eclectic items which all seem to fit the theme. ||There is a wonderful library and the dining room is also very special. There is an outdoor pool (which could do with a clean) and an upstairs gym. ||The breakfast is amazing brought out on individual trays with cereal, yogurt, eggs any style, pastries. ||There are some small negatives. Although there are many TV channels available the signal is terrible & makes it hard to watch anything. The wifi is pretty good so it’s possible to stream on your own device. ||And for a hotel of this class it’s pretty cheap not to supply free bottled water & tissues.

Great location service and professional and welcoming staff, ideal for a couple or for business, it feels being away from earth in a totally different atmosphere, only point to improve is that the rooms are a bit noisy and we can hear people in the corridors, beaakfast is very well served on trays and very generous with eggs ham cheese bread fresh juices etc....

The place looks elegant but the actual experience is difficult and even hard at times. I don't recommend the restaurant for breakfast. Ingredients are low quality compared to two years ago. Low quality eggs, cheap yogurt, bad quality granola, cheap fruit juice. And the waiters treat customers like buddies in a chiringuito. The "swimming" pool is tiny and not treated.

I can’t say enough about this hotel. It’s like staying in a big house and getting great service from a very friendly staff. The garden is serene and lush and the rooms are huge and comfortable. I have stayed in this hotel 3-4 times and every time I have enjoyed it very much. The library also gives me the opportunity to meet with friends and relatives in a cozy, comfortable setting. When I entertain larger parties, there’s the red room, very private and can take care up to around 30 people.

My apartment is only three blocks from this place and I have seen it on my walks. It was going to be a very hot weekend and they have a pool. So I booked. It was fabulous there. Top notch service! Everyone spoke perfect English which I did not expect and greatly appreciated. The included breakfast is one of the best I have encountered on my travels. My favorte part though was the pool. The pool itself is adequate but the pool area? One of the best I have ever been to. It is in shade for most of the day so you don't even need sunscreen. It was very much worth the money to stay there. I will certainly return.
