Fadden's General Store

If you’re looking for a real authentic general store in New England without going 100 miles outside civilization, this is your perfect place. It’s like you walked into 1925. They are maple syrup is the best and apparently they ship all over the country. The people who work there have always been super friendly and they have a wide variety of stuff not just maple syrup but candies, postcards and other New Hampshire. Souvenirs if you want the best maple syrup around check out this placeeven in the busy summer months there’s always plenty of parking out front.

I am so happy we decided to stop in here. This store has been owned and operated by the same family since the 1890s. Thank God for family businesses, hard to find a store like this today in most of the country. They offer a Huge maple selection, local NH drinks, and other local items. This place totally seconds as a museum with all of the cool stuff they have on the walls. Coolest store ever

Nice, old general store. This is a multigenerational family-owned business. Lots of cool stuff here. If you are looking for the latest issue of Uncle Henry's, they have it here. The folks here were nice and prices reasonable. They seem to have just about a little bit of everything here. Nice old general store.

Mom and Pop places do still exist. Thank god. Businesses like this built the America we know. Great small town options in a beautiful town! James was great to chat with- a blast from the past! Something we need more of!

Cute country general store. On one of the main st of Woodstock nh. Near restaurants and other shops. All sorts of stuff. We didn’t end up buying anything but there were certainly many options. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Nice little store. Definitely gives you that old time feel.

A lot of great stuff in here! A moose head. Hard to find sodas. Boardgames Foods drinks and cheeses

If you are on a trip nearby and have forgotten an essential item such as soap, drinks, bug spray this may be a good place to stop by if you can't find a Walmart. It is a bit pricey (bug spray was $10). You can also find souvenirs, I purchased some local coffee (it was good ). The general store is clean and the staff that helped me were super nice. Overall I would say if you are looking for souvenirs, there are other options close by with a wider assortment of things to choose from. If you are looking for essentials you didn't pack this would be a good place to check out just know that it is a bit pricey.

every time I get to NH from Germany, I have to drive up to Woodstock to visit Mc Faddens because that is where you get the best maple sirup. Definitely. Whoever puts Mc Fadden off as just a country store like anyone and the maple sirup as one like all the others, definitely has no sensibility for tradition, history or taste. For me there can only be 5 stars. And if anyone finds the service to be unwelcoming, gets something confused.

do you want to be ignored and feel unwelcome? Then this is the place for you! I have no idea how this place has such a good rate it's a dump. The clerk that was working could not even be bother to get off his phone to say hi -7 stars

Seriously just a small country store. Sure they have Maple syrup...who doesn't. But remember to have cash if you spend less than $5. All I wanted was a lemonade and I was told cash only after trying to hand her my card. I rarely ever walk around with cash. Just go to the gas station they have more.

Great store to visit, the staff are super friendly and the products are awesome. If you're looking for a classic old time store this is the place to go.

I was hoping for a variety of cool collectibles and treats, but really this was more like a convenience store. We took our kids hoping for a cool t-shirt or something to remember our trip but we walked out after 2 minutes.

What a cute general store. It has the creaky old floors and lots of history. It's open 9am-9pm daily which is a lifesaver because nothing else is open that late. They sell six packs of old time soda (the maple cream is amazing) and six packs of Woodstock Inn beer located just two shops down if you didn't want to buy a growler. I'd suggest just popping in if you're in the area to get a quick ride back in time.

Happen to be in North Woodstock and went in the general store. Several campy and unique items, but the best treasure was Pat who was running the store. Pat is a valuable resource who has a vast knowledge of the history of the town as well as a very interesting life story. Stop in when Pats there, spend some money and time and walk out richer.

Picked you a bunch of candy and Moxie Soda. They have a great selection of maple syrups and maple products.

This is how a general store should be...at least how its pictured in the movies...the older fellow behind the counter couldn't have been more personable to us silly tourists....we made a point to come back for some silly item we really could have gotten at any convenience store in the area...sadly the same guy wasn't there this time...but a younger fellow who was just as good.

I read in the Union Leader that Fadden's was the winner of the best maple syrup in New Hampshire. I called on a Thursday to have some of the syrup shipped to my home. The woman taking my order was friendly and helpful. And I received my package the NEXT day! The syrup is the BEST I have ever tasted! A+ in every way!!

Always my go to place when I need the best maple syrup around,,,, well that's what I am told,,, I am not a fan of maple syrup but my sister loves it,,,, when she came to visit she got so many small jars for gifts for friends and a good sized one for herself,,, She said the maple salt water taffy and the maple candles are also the best she has ever found,,,, I must say the maple candles do smell down right amazing :-)

Great old time general store. Always go here for our supplies and beer when we go on vacation. Their maple syrup is the best! Friendly staff!

Great general store, from maple products, to original moxie soda this place has it all. Not to mention the place looks nice with and has great and sociable employees. If you are in the area, and you need anything, and even if you don't. I still recommend coming here.
