10 Best Brunch Places in Dublin | Condé Nast Traveler

"Three different spaces make up the dining experience from noted chef Dylan McGrath: a celebrated fine dining restaurant, a chic cocktail bar, and a gastrobar serving tapas, shareable comfort food, and gourmet brunch. And you can bet the latter offers far more than avocado toast: Expect truffled hens' eggs with olive oil foam, sugared brioche with homemade chutney, mini-lobster “hot dogs,” and bacon-and-cabbage burgers complete with slabs of fried pork belly. Even the sides are decadent—the potatoes are cooked in beef drippings and topped with hollandaise—though there are fresh fruit and vegetable juices to balance things out a bit. Oh, and don't forget to peruse the cocktail list. Made with high-end liquors and fresh ingredients (think rhubarb puree, Irish raspberries, lavender syrup, and fig and rosemary jam), they're nearly as flavorful as the food." - Sandra Ramani

Stopped by the roof top patio for beverages. Loved the setting. Very quiet when we visited midday on a weekday. Perfect fit for us. Server did well given it was their first day.

Myself and two other friends had my birthday dinner there and one of my friend was running late. We felt a little bit rushed from the staff as if they want us to finish our dinner as soon as we can and just leave. One gentleman who was holding the iPad moved some tables around and said to us that we don’t have to rush anymore because they see that one of our friends still hasn’t arrived so we’re okay. So thank you to him for that. The mocktails wasn’t that bad but when it comes to the food wise , the pricing does not match the food portion. I ordered a 10oz steak WHICH COST €46???? it includes chip if you wanted chips on the side which would’ve been €6.50 alone for itself ??????? The steak wasn’t even that big as well…… the chips itself it’s called “ beef drip chips “ sounds fancy right ???? It’s basically just a small portion of chips and they were even dry too…. On the menu it said there will be service charge for table of 6 or more. It was only three of us girls and there was a service charge on our bill ???????? Overall the interior of the restaurant is nice but the pricing and staff wise is not the very best. The only thing they were good was that they were very attentive but attitude was not the very best in some way. Don’t think I’m gonna come back again to be honest

The hostess was welcoming and very kind, but clearly overwhelmed, especially during peak hours. The entrance area felt a bit chaotic, and having separate lines or signage for reservations, walk-ins, and guests going to the bar could really help streamline the experience. When we were seated, no one came to offer water or check in with us for quite a while. It seemed the staff was overrun, especially by large groups, and service throughout the evening reflected that. Everyone was courteous, but clearly stretched thin. The ambiance could use some adjustment. The lighting was very bright and the music barely noticeable, which made the space feel loud and a bit tense. In most restaurants, dimming the lights and raising the music just enough creates a warmer, more relaxed atmosphere. It also helps balance the overall noise level—when the music is too low, guests tend to speak louder, which creates noise pollution. A livelier background soundtrack can actually energize the staff and reduce the stress caused by excessive chatter. The food itself was good. Our entrée arrived quickly and was lovely. However, it took about an hour to receive our main course because two large groups had placed orders before us. For a restaurant that often accommodates groups, offering set menus could help manage timing and ease pressure on the kitchen. One note: the fries with our meal seemed a bit stale or not quite hot enough. Overall, the restaurant has potential, and with a few adjustments to the ambiance, entrance flow, and kitchen pacing, the guest experience could be greatly improved.

The food was delicious. Staff very attentive. Noise level was quite high J n the area where we ate. However it didn't spoil the experience.

The food was good, but the space is way too loud. It was so noisy that our smartwatches gave us a warning. It wasn’t relaxing at all — we couldn’t even hear each other. Because of that, we won’t be coming back. There are things that could be done with the interior to reduce the noise.

Food was excellent Service wasn’t poor, however it just felt like some of the staff were a little inexperienced. They didn't seem to understand what was on the menu themselves, a little bit more training. We ordered beef - the menu said ‘with all the trimmings’. It came with a lovely Yorkshire pudding and a small decorated carrot, a roast potato and some kale. I personally wouldn’t call that all the trimmings.

Mix reviews. First time I went had a great experience took the tartare which was delicious followed by the grilled fish with was also delicious. Would have given 5 stars. This time I ordered the bone marrow burger. It Was dry, very salty and served with a side salad without oil or vinaigrette wasn’t sure what the plan was with that. I definitely wouldn’t order again and service was on the cold side compared to first time. Would had given it a 3 stars at best. So averaging on the good side I’ll give it a 4 but based on this experience I don’t think I’ll return.

The shocking service really lets this place down. It took around 30 minutes after we were seated for our drink order to be taken. After that, every time we wanted to order, we had to get up, find a server, and ask. Then we’d wait at least 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Clearly, management knows the venue is fully booked in advance—more staff should be scheduled. The food was nice, but the slow service alone would stop us from returning.
