Google
really unique and outstanding food that i have never experienced coming from US. This is Cape Malay food. I would describe as similar to Indian with curry, samosa bit much lighter, more use of citrus and no cheese. Terrific food. This is a must experience!

Did the cooking class here, I messaged them separately to book it as I was alone, to join a group, which ended up being only 3 of us! Salama was so lovely, and the food we made ended up being such a large amount. Definitely worth it, as you’d probably pay more for a 3 course meal and experience together anyway.

We first came here during a Bo-Kaap tour with our guide and were amazed by the food. We loved it so much that we decided to come back for a cooking class, and we were lucky to have Faaeza as our instructor. Hearing her story and learning from her made the experience even more meaningful, and the food turned out delicious. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Cape Town!

My girlfriend and I booked a cooking class here and it was such a great experience. We were in a small group with people from all over the world. My girlfriend is vegan so we chose this class because they advertised offering vegetarian and vegan options. Be sure to call ahead if you have restrictions but they are super nice and you learn a lot about cape Malay cuisine and history. Plus it’s totally hands on.

Dining at Faeeza’s Home Kitchen is an unforgettable experience! Nestled in the vibrant and historic Bo-Kaap, this cozy spot offers authentic Cape Malay cuisine straight from a local’s kitchen. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with an unmistakable charm that reflects the heart of this unique neighborhood. The menu is small but perfectly curated, focusing on delivering bold and authentic flavors. We tried the Babootie and Chicken Curry, both bursting with the rich, aromatic spices that make Cape Malay food so special. Every bite was a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy—a true culinary journey! This gem attracts everyone, from locals to the rich and famous, and it’s easy to see why. Faeeza’s is a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience Cape Town’s food culture at its finest. We’ll definitely be back!

We came today at 145pm and requested for a table of 2 to the hostess indoor, she just shrugged her shoulder said no we closing at 3pm and walked off. It wasn't just rude it was insulting. If your restaurant closes at 3pm kindly have the basic common sense to update that on Google for tourists like me who planned the day to visit bo kaap for lunch at your place. And if you can't cater to a guest especially someone who came way before closing then please have the basic manners to respond/explain in a better manner. For anyone else who had a bad experience like me ,we went to beismillahs around the corner and had a great experience.

The Mom and Daughter were working away while we were there. What a cute place for a small whole in the wall family business. This is not a big restaurant. It it filled with love for what they do. They even have cooking classes. We sampled a number of items rather than a big dish. The fresh food taste was definitely there. Highly recommend for a Cape Malay food experience.

Came back for home cooked Malay cuisine. This little spot in BoKaap was a treat. Thank you Ethan for the hike back from Lions Head and lunching at your go to restaurant. Really enjoyed the beef meatloaf and chicken curry with roti. So good 😊
