Why didn't I come up with this idea!?
Danes love their toast. Usually it'll be a home-made "cheese and ham in cheap supermarket white bread"-kind of thing, made to cure the Saturday morning hangover, or to fill the stomach on a lazy afternoon.
Fætter Fætter takes the toast-loving to the next level - and it is phenomenal!
Everything about the place is hipster, the minimalistic seating arrangement.
So, the centerpiece - the toast: You get an upscale, somewhat-fancy - but not too fancy - looking toast, on a cutting board. It's not too big, and it does look fancy but not overly so.
You take a bite - just slightly more crispy than you expect - and then it hits you. Is it a toast? It is a toast. But the wealth of flavors running amok on your tastebuds, leaving you with no choice but to sit back and take in the Fætter Fætter toast experience - Bon voyage and bon apetit.
PS. They also make one of the best iced coffees I've gotten in Copenhagen. Their recipe is extremely simple, but effective. I guess that goes with the whole "fancy toast" concept :)
