Failte Bed & Breakfast Oban

My wife and I spent 3 weeks touring Scotland and Ireland, staying in guest houses all the while... Failte was by far the best! Thomas is lovely and has thought of everything... comfortable bed and crisp sheets, cozy breakfast room with table linens and AMAZING food. Even the music was perfect. Couldn't recommend more. „Failte“ means welcome - and that’s exactly how we felt! Thomas gave us such a warm welcome and the room was already warm as well! Everything is so decorated so lovely and full of details, the bed was comfy and everything was clean! The breakfast is delicious and you can choose between several warm and cold and sweet or salty things! We would recommend the B&B to everyone ♥️

I have travelled 8 times to Scotland and stayed at beautiful BBs. However, Failte is one of the very best. Failte is Gaelic and means Welcome and that is exactly how how I felt during my stay. The room is spotlessly cleaned to the max. Thomas is a great host and everything else is very good. Hope I can return sometimes in the future. Thank you Thomas!

We were originally meant to stay in October but due to a storm we couldn’t make it and the hosts were very helpful in rescheduling. We stayed for a night in March instead and had a lovely time. Thomas is extremely friendly and welcoming and let us keep our bags in the B&B before check in and after on the second day. The room was immaculate and really nicely decorated and included a helpful folder with everything you need to know about Oban. Breakfast was made fresh and delicious and there were loads of options to choose from. All in all we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Oban!!

Such a lovely experience staying at Failte! The room was super comfortable, Thomas and his wife thought of every amenity. And the view out the window was beautiful. We looked forward to the delicious breakfast each day-- the homemade yogurt and fruit was a work of art.

Thomas was such a kind host and the breakfast was ideal. We had to arrive late due to weather/traffic issues but it was no issue for Tom and we were so pleased at the warm welcome from a weary day. The front garden is beautiful and it’s in a perfect location. Really pleased to have a mini-fridge available as well as a carafe of water. (I was surprised at how many hotels didn’t offer this basic amenity.)
