Failte Bed & Breakfast Oban

Beautiful guest house with welcoming and friendly host. Myself and my friend stayed in the twin room at the top of the house, the room and bathroom were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfasts were wonderful. I really loved all the art work and as an avid reader loved looking at all the books which were available to borrow and also add to. If you are going to visit McCaig's Tower, do it from the guest house as you are already half way there! It is up quite a steep hill which would not suit everyone. It is very tranquil and peaceful and only a 10 minute walk to the town, a wee bit longer to walk back!|I would certainly recommend this guest house.

We stayed one night at Faile bed and breakfast on our way to the Hebrides. Everything about it was excellent; Thomas and Isabel had thought about every detail. In particular, the breakfasts were outstanding - easily good enough for a 5 star hotel. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Thomas and Isabel have really worked to make their home inviting and beautiful by paying attention to all the little and big details. The room was spotless and comfortable. The house is beautifully decorated with art—even breakfast was a beautiful experience.

Stayed just for one night with our adult daughter in two rooms. All very comfortable and clean. Rooms are not large but are better equipped than most hotel rooms. Only a few minutes walk downhill to town centre.| Breakfast was lovely in the morning.

Place is nice and well located. Owner is very nice and polite. I will give more star's but electric shower didn't work properly. Very low pressure and it was something wrong with thermostat, water was cold or hot. Room no 2 was ok, quite dark. Fine for one night. My device to owners; Please listen your customers feedback If I'm telling is something wrong with it and please have a look then don't tell, it's nothing wrong with shower... At the end of the day I paid for room and I couldn't have proper shower at the evening, not great.

Thomas was such a kind host and the breakfast was ideal. We had to arrive late due to weather/traffic issues but it was no issue for Tom and we were so pleased at the warm welcome from a weary day. The front garden is beautiful and it’s in a perfect location. Really pleased to have a mini-fridge available as well as a carafe of water. (I was surprised at how many hotels didn’t offer this basic amenity.)

Loved staying here. First off the breakfasts are wonderful. Cheeses, fruit, breads, jams and your choice of a full Scottish, eggs Benedict and other dishes. I looked forward to my breakfast time every morning. The beds are so comfortable! We had the family room and had the whole floor to ourselves. The climbs from Oban to the B&B is a great workout. Our hosts were also wonderful and the space is very clean and welcoming. Thomas made sure we had a little jug of milk for tea right when we checked in which I appreciated. Would totally stay here again.

We spent one night at Failte B&B and wish we could’ve stayed more. The whole property is immaculate, wonderfully decorated and has a homely feel. Even though we stayed in the smallest “budget room”, we still loved it. Bed was super comfortable and the size of the room did not mean it wasn’t properly furnished. Thomas was a great, friendly host, who really cares for his guests. Breakfast service was wonderful with plentiful choices, from a full scottish breakfast, fruit, cereal… Location is great, just a few minutes walk from Oban’s main promenade. Definitely recommend staying here and I wish we can come back some time.
