Kind and efficient innkeepers at this accommodation. My single room was impeccably clean and very comfortable. Linens and towels were spotless and crisp. Shower gave plenty of hot water. Common area is cozy and has TV, games, and current tourist information. Failte Inn is quiet and orderly, yet is very close to all pubs and shopping on the high street. Easy access to both Beara Way and Dingle Way trails. I’m very glad Failte was available for my travel dates. Highly recommended.

I had more fun at this hostel than I've had at fancy hotels I've stayed in across Ireland. The building is historic and has a beautiful old vibe to it. It is probably the best situated lodging in the town--right on the corner of the two major streets. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a beautiful view over town with the hills and chapel in the background. There is a big kitchen open to use with toast, jam, biscuits and tea. Just by comparison, I stayed in a hotel in Waterford for 3x the price this weekend and they didn't even let you have a cup of tea and they put us in a basement! This hostel is a gem, really. We booked a private room and it comes with a sink and a double bed--so basically the discounted price that makes this a "hostel" rather than a hotel is because of the shared bathroom, which is fine. The showers were pitiful, however, only going for about 10 seconds at a time. Also, they do not provide towels or soap, so we had to go buy soap at a shop in town. I would stay there again in any case, a great value. I was most pleased just to enjoy the old house with a cup of tea.

I've been in really many different hostels all over the world so far, as I like the idea of meeting mind-liked backpackers/travellers. Most of those hostels were really nice, however the Fáilte Hostel in Kenmare is one of my favourites and actually made me write my first review on TripAdvisor! ||The place is just fantastic and made us feel at home at the first moment. The furnishing is super cosy, very tidy and clean. Especially the hosts (the Hostel is run by a family) create an unique and very welcoming atmosphere. They were always up for a nice chat and we never had the feeling, just to be paying customers but felt appreciated and honestly welcomed. ||Our stay was a bit unscheduled, as originally we wanted to hike the Kerry Way but had to stop this adventure after just two days as a consequence of a very painful inflammation on my back. I couldn't have wished for a better place to recover. At the end we spent an entire week at this Hostel, even after I felt much better and could have continued our trip. Kenmare itself offers plenty of outdoor activities to do and places to discover and it's a really beautiful area! ||I'll definitely be back at this Hostel for sure :-)||My friend Max who was travelling with me agrees 100% with my review||||Best wishes||||Max and Thomas

I stayed here for two nights with a group of 12 cyclists . All of us were very happy with the Failte Hostel, the accommodation was clean and spacious. There was a lock up facility for our bicycles, an air dryer was also available to dry wet and damp clothes. There is a very well equipped kitchen with a full supply of all cooking utensils. There was a supply of free tea/ coffee/ bread/ biscuits, butter, jam etc for use by all visitors. Overall a great place to stay with very friendly host Aoife and her Mum.

we stayed here for one night , 8 of us in total. we got an amazing welcome from Aoife , she helped us cook our evening meal. The hostel and rooms are exceptionally clean. it is an ideal hostel for cyclists as they have a great bike shed to store the bikes, and overall great facilities and there was another group of cyclists staying here too. I would highly recommend this hostel ||Liz O Donovan , President of An Oige , Cork / Kerry Region Group

This is an exceptional hostel. Aoife was friendly, helpful, overly kind, and generous with her time. The rooms were neat and clean, and the beds are among the comfiest I’ve ever had in a hostel. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the showers were hot and powerful at all times. There was a shed where I could leave my bike, and the hostel is in an ideal location in Kenmare. One of, if not the best hostel I’ve stayed in.

The host (whom I’ve unfortunately forgotten the name - sorry!) was very kind and took her time to explain everything. The hostel itself has a lot of character and charm and the common areas are big and cozy. The beds are also comfy, nothing magic but good quality nonetheless. We took a room with private bathroom for ~28€/person/night. There is also basic breakfast necessities (butter, jam, bread, coffee, tea, etc.). Would definitely stay again!

Stayed there for 1 night. Was doing the Ring of Kerry by bike with a few mates. On the way to the hostel we got a big storm and we all get soaked as well as our clothes, once the level of rain was higher that our waterproof bags could support. They treated us super well and offered to dry our clothes. It was so nice. The place has a good kitchen, loads of space, in the heart of the village, enough toilets and everything you need to feel at home. I couldn't recommend it more! Super friendly staff, facilities and location.
