Fairfield by Marriott Busan Songdo Beach (Busan, Korea) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Steps inland from the beach, with invigorating views over the Korea Strait, Fairfield Busan Songdo Beach exemplifies the waterfront serenity that has made this region attractive for centuries. High ceilings, clever lighting, and massive windowbanks make for refreshing public spaces, especially on the top floors, which are treated to an impressive panorama. Sleek, contemporary rooms come to live with forward-thinking details like framed artwork and floating bedframes; a modest fitness center is also available on the third floor." - Tablet Hotels

Booked the standard room and was upgraded to a one bedroom suite as a Marriott Bonvoy platinum member. The room was amazing. Got an amazing view of Songdo Beach and got to see the cable cars go back and forth every day. The room was spacious and I liked that the windows opened up so that we'd get fresh air. The hotel features and in-room amenities were top notch. Having a water filtration system in-room was great. It was clean and saved me from buying bottled water all the time. The suite included 2 bathrooms which was nice. The bidet worked perfectly. The convenience store on the ground floor was indeed, convenient. The hotel has a laundry facility on site which was clean and very useful while on a long vacation. I know Haeundae is the more popular beach but I much enjoyed the quieter vibe of Songdo and this hotel was perfect.

We stayed 6 nights in the Fairfield Busan and we absolutely loved it. First of all, staff speaks English fluently so you absolutely don’t have to worry about language barrier. We arrived pretty early, around 12ish and we were immediately let into our room despite check in time being 3pm. Rooms: The rooms are super spacious, comfortable and modern and the ocean view is fantastic. You can overlook Songdo Beach and watch the cable cars, as well as the suspension bridge at the sky park. Location: Songdo is a quieter Beach compared to Gwangalli or Haeundae, located in the south closer to BIFF Square. You have lots of Korean seafood restaurants as well as charming little cafes and of course big coffee house chains such as TomsNToms or Starbucks. In 10 minutes by foot you’re at the cable car and in front of the building there are always lots of taxis as well. Staff: Everyone was so extremely nice and helpful during our stay. We were always greeted when we left and came back and whenever we had questions, they were always so quick to help. We lost some belongings at the rooftop and reported it at the reception, one day later we get a call to our room and they actually found it. It had great emotional value so we were extremely thankful. There also is a convenience store next to the hotel open 24/7. Overall, we had a great time in the Fairfield by Marriot Busan and we would choose it again any day!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS The walls are not sound proof at all and you can literally hear all conversations from next door. If you get unlucky and have annoying neighbors, forget about getting any quality sleep. The bathroom is also the strangest thing. The shower and the toilette are in one space with no privacy and doors. If you are staying with family or maybe as a couple, it might be okay but how will this work if you are going as a newly dating couple or friends??? One person poops in an open area while the other person is taking a shower as you face each other? Absurd.

The best part of our experience at this hotel was the check-in process from Olivia Lee! In my opinion, she should train others on how to welcome hotel guests, she was so cheerful, accommodating, polite, respectful,… Definitely in the top 1% of any welcome I’ve had in any hotel in my life. Our room was a little cramped in terms of the bathroom and the shower: you need to be comfortable with having others to see and hear you because of the way the bathroom is designed with one door that accommodates both rooms and with translucent glass showing your feet and upper body to anyone who walks by… But the location is amazing.

Stayed here for 3 nights in April 25. Initially staying on the 16th floor, before being transferred to the 18th floor due to air conditioning compressor sounding too loudly. Location: Location would only be perfect if you like peace by the beach. If you want something more vibrant and bustling, Haeundae beach would probably fit the pants better. Food: Enjoyed the hotel's breakfast menu on the Monday — Their mushroom soup totally slaps. There are actually a lot of seafood eateries around the block worth patronising. Service: I have to commend Olivia (one of the night shifts receptionist) — She was really helpful and good with her food recommendations around the block and facilitated the room transfer seamlessly. Overall, if I were to return to Busan, I might just give other beaches a shot to experience different vibes! But if you're planning to come to Songdo, FF is good enough!

We got the 2 twin beds room. Great view of the sea, room is quite spacious and there's also a day bed/couch by the window. Wide windows with blinds if the sunlight gets too glaring. There's also a small window you can open for fresh air. The room layout is quite open with a sliding partition if you wish for bathroom privacy. The staff are friendly and helpful. The reception is able to communicate in English pretty well 🙌 Housekeeping is great and while there is a language barrier, their enthusiasm is unmatched 😆 Thank you! The hotel sits right in front of the beach and there are restaurants EVERYWHERE. Within the hotel, there is Songdo Kitchen on the 22nd floor. Their breakfast buffet spread is pretty good, a mix of classic breakfast foods like bacon, eggs, sausage and salad/cold cuts and some Korean food. I love the diy bibimbap bar!

If you forgot some toiletries then you will be expected to pay for it. They have you pay for those tiny tube of toothpaste. They also don't have cotton swabs that pretty much all hotels in SK have. And for some reason they also don't have conditioner. Just shampoo and bodywash.

We loved staying here. We recommended it to friends later on who also stayed and really enjoyed it. It's much quieter than Haeundae and Gwangalli which was nice. I liked taking walks on the cloud trails at night and in the morning. You can still easily get to the center of Busan but also take a break when needed. The hotel was clean and pleasant. I would stay here again.
