Fairfield by Marriott Taichung

Front desk staff and breakfast staff were very kind and helpful. Charlotte at the front desk was very helpful at check in. Rooms are a bit smaller, but nice. Lots of outlets and space to open up luggage. Bed was comfy, room was quiet.

The room is extremely clean and posh. Love the design. The noise insulation is done so well too. Most importantly, the front desk service is the best I have ever received. Marriott always has great service to begin with (I am a titanium member lol and lives in hotels around the world 50% of the time every year, so I do have a large data set haha). To top them all says a lot about the amazing service here.

The staff was unprofessional and lacked courtesy. It would have been appreciated if they had informed guests properly instead of handling things in a discreet manner.

Fairfield Inn Taichung is my all time favorite hotel in Taichung - while it is not really in the center of Taichung city, its close proximity to Feng Chia University and the famous night market, easy access to freeway and high speed rail station, etc. all make this hotel an ideal choice for business travelers like me. Having said, I also noticed price of this hotel has also risen sharply due to its popularity among tourists and international travelers. ||||I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and have experienced many different types of rooms - from suite, king size bed large room, one queen size bed room, two twin size bed room, and back to suite this time in March 2025, all rooms happened to be clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Staff at hotel is always courteous and professional. I also often chose breakfast over bonus points while staying here, primarily because the breakfast item choices is ample and food quality is great. All these are reasons I keep coming back to this property. ||||Overall this is a great property - even though there is Moxy and a few other alternative hotels available, I would still prefer to come back whenever I can.

First time been to Taichung and Fairfield. I choose here because it’s under Marriott :)||It’s neat and tidy and can see their efforts on sustainability in which they have self service water dispenser in the lobby. ||Service is good and efficient, including the check-in process and other services. I am feeling cold that day and request for extra quilt at the midnight and they are quick. ||A little bit upset that they block the door of balcony. ||I always have confidence on Marriott and it is a nice of a try.

Thank you chef, thank you to everyone in the service team. This is my most touching birthday. The excellent service and awesome care are the main reasons why I always choose Fairfield Taichung. This hotel will always be my first choice.

It’s a new hotel but it’s pity that hotel is not well maintained. I was in Marriott branded hotel last week in Nagoya and Tokyo, there is big different in terms of cleanliness. There is too much dust, floor is not well cleaned, toilette paper is placed in a dusty area. We don’t feel comfortable during our stay. I have been stayed in Marriott branded hotel in different cities, Amsterdam, London, different cities in USA. It’s first time that we have doubt about Marriott quality.

The proximity to highway was the key factor to pick this place and it certainly cuts down on the commute time. Service and breakfast is great. Dinner options around the place are good. The rooms are noisy but manageable. The room i got had the bed facing the door and parallel to the tv which made tv watching in bed difficult. overall, a good hotel but lacking a few features.

Stayed at Fairfield Marriott for a business trip and was pleased with this new location. This hotel has a contemporary modern vibe. Staff is very courteous. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast is buffet style with a decent mix of Chinese & American dishes. They could expand their options as the breakfast offering seems a bit smaller in comparison to other Asia Marriotts I've stayed at. However, it's not a deal breaker as breakfast is still delicious (noodles, dim sum, and dragon fruit for breakfast? Yes please!!) Downside is location. It is a bit isolated from central Taichung, so it's not poppin around the hotel. There is not a mall nor many restaurants down the street. You can still manage to walk a few blocks down to find some good hole in the wall spots. Feng Chia Night Market is also 15-20 min walk away! Definitely recommend Fairfield if you don't mind being 10 min drive away from central Taichung and walking a bit more to find food.

Fairfield by Marriott Taichung is a wonderful place to rest and enjoy a great meal. They have a huge selection for breakfast and some of the best drinks! Rooms are extremely clean, modern, and fresh. Staff is very friendly and helpful in accommodating customer needs. Mr. Dario Congera - GM is real friendly and personally welcomes hotel's Special guests.
