The only thing missing here is a nice coffee machine in the lobby! The staff is amazing, especially Lisa, so nice and attentive to details. There are 2 kinds of rooms: basic and larger "suites." Overall, it's well kept and clean. The location is also pretty great, walking distance to several nice restaurants and the river walk right behind if you want to go for a walk. Breakfast is basic but it does the job with a choice of hot options (eggs, meat, oatmeal), cereal, make your own waffles, yogurt and fruits. The coffee dispensers stay there all day and often go cold-ish, same with the hot water for tea. That's why I'd love to see a nice coffee machine that also provides tea/steam milk options instead. It'd probably be less maintenance to refill those thermos and such a great value for customers.

This is the best Fairfield that I've stayed at. Super clean and has a friendly staff. It's 6 years old but looks brand new. Nice riverfront walkway nearby. Minor league ballpark next door. Several restaurants within walking distance. A little noisy on the road side but the room has a white noise machine and that helps a lot. Best part is free parking ramp parking. This place is nice. Highly recommend.

Hotel was very nice otherwise but the shower curtain and plastic shower curtain liner (which a hotel should not use anyway) were both filthy. Yellow stains at the bottom and the liner appeared to have specks of mold spots on it. This then made me question the cleanliness of the entire hotel (which appeared to be clean and in order). No excuse these should be laundered and replaced with each guest. This was room 885, maybe the other rooms were ok.

Google
This isn’t your average Fairfield Inn- absolutely a gem of a hotel in Dayton. Lisa is one of the best employees Marriott has to offer! Above and beyond! Great location, little bar downstairs, great lobby, fabulous employees, everything you need in a room. Don’t hesitate if you are staying in DT Dayton

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Lisa Jo made us feel welcome and we had a most pleasant stay. Just wish there was a cardio bicycle in the fitness center because of our physical limitations in using treadmills.

We have stayed at this hotel for the last three years when traveling to Florida. I generally book through Marriott Bonvoy, however this time I booked through Hotel.com. What a mistake! When I arrived at the hotel, they didn’t have my reservation and most of the rooms were booked. The reservation error was because of a technical issue with Hotel.com. Jeremiah Wright, front office manager was very understanding and professional. He was able to locate a room that was perfect for us at this hotel! The hotel also had a great breakfast and was extremely clean. I will definitely stay here again.

Service from Cass at the front desk was exemplary. Wonderfully comfortable room. Very clean and well maintained property.

Google
This is the nicest Fairfield Inn we have ever stayed in! The hotel is in the perfect location, clean, and everyone on staff was incredibly friendly. They went above and beyond to make our toddler feel comfortable. She is scared of elevators and they put together the sweetest snack bag for her which was a wonderful distraction and very appreciated! We loved how the room included a sound machine too, it was really helpful for our two young children. This was the perfect place to rest after a long day of traveling. We will be back!

Yelp
Great location close to downtown and highway access , simple and modern interior decor, relatively quiet, close to the river, some rooms with nice view, and parking garage is close by. Overall Service was good mostly. Breakfast was decent, nothing fancy but had all the essentials. Downstairs bar only open on certain days, and not a FULL bar, and doesn't serve food. Which I really hoped they served at least some bar food. Room service was good once service request was clarified. Gym is small but has all the basics, can use couple new yoga mats This is a great value hotel. Do recommend by @winedinenvacay

Yelp
We were very pleased with our stay here. Nice location, just across the street from the Dayton Dragon baseball stadium and the Lock 27 Brewery, our $127 room rate ($149 after tax) was very fair for a big room with a nice bathroom, polite and helpful staff and a terrific breakfast. Zero complaints.

Yelp
Great location and easy access to everything. Anytime I book a hotel in an unfamiliar location, I worry about it being safe. Lisa Jo at thr front desk was very friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you Lisa for making me feel welcome and appreciated.

Yelp
I recently stayed here for one night for a quick work trip. It met all my expectations, for sure! Conveniently located in downtown Dayton near the river and baseball fields, it's in a very walkable area. There is also a bikeshare program across the street if you're looking to bike around. Many restaurants are within 15 minutes walking from the hotel as well. The inside still has that fresh, new smell. The lobby area is quite small, but if you go back passed the elevators, there is more seating. The bar area is, again, quite small, but it gets the job done! Parking is newly free, so don't pay for parking in the lot next door. Pull through the pull-up area and into the parking garage. Front desk check-in was a breeze. I stayed on the 5th floor, with views of the park and river - great views! The rooms are fully stocked with all you'll need, including a mini fridge, smart TV, microwave, bathroom essentials, a desk, and more. The FREE breakfast was overall decent, considering it's free. Make-your-own waffles, scrambled eggs, meats, fruits, yogurts, baked goods, oatmeal, cereals, and more. If you ever find yourself in the area and need an overnight stay, I'd recommend this place.

Yelp
No problems here. Right downtown but very easy to access from major highways. 15 minutes to airport. Very clean and well kept. Staff was excellent. Several good restaurants within easy walking distance. Quiet for a downtown location too. About as good as it gets for a Fairfield. Only short coming was limited options @ breakfast - no fruit to be found....

Yelp
They include a sound machine in the room because you can hear everything, I mean everything in the next room. I could even hear them shaking ice in their glasses. Clean and staff was nice but I would never stay hear again due to the total lack of sound proofing.

Yelp
Our stay was during the snowy season and we were greeted with a warm courteous welcome. Contrary to what some websites say, there is a an attentive front desk and valet parking. The rooms are cozy and still have an evident newness. Though much smaller, quality is not lacking when compared to what I've seen at the grander Marriotts (bellhops & food service excluded ). Kudos to Jeremy for being so attentive when we checked in at 1 in the morning.

Yelp
While passing through Ohio on 12/26/22. We encountered bad road conditions from the lack of snow removal by Ohio department of transportation. Around 2:23AM I booked a Marriott online reservation to sleep for a few hours. After arrived at the Marriott Fairfield Inn I explained to female front desk clerk that I booked an online reservation and we needed to rest for 4 to 5 hours; and then continue traveling home. My reservation was booked for 12/26-12/27 with check-in at 3pm (Confirmation# 74803488). I asked the desk clerk would she be able to accommodate us with adjusting the reservation, so we could rest for 5hrs. The desk clerk advised me there was nothing she could do. Thereafter, I offered to pay whatever extra the cost would be to book a room for a few hours and yet again she declined the offer any assistance; and stated that there was nothing she could do. She advised me to return at 3pm when I am allowed to check-in. This was very disappointing to hear from the front desk clerk considering a few hours of rest should not be that difficult to assist with. Walked outside and opened the Marriott app again and cancelled the reservation. While in the front of the hotel I looked on the app again for a Marriott hotel and found a Courtyard nearby. I called the hotel and ask the desk clerk the same question that was presented at the Fairfield Inn. Family of four 2 kids and 2 adults travel home for the holiday just needing to rest for 5hrs. Front desk clerk(Nisha) stated that she could accommodate us and that she'd have a room ready upon arrival. In my opinion this was terrible service and unacceptable to say the least from Fairfield Inn 305 E Monument Ave. Dayton OH.. All praise given to Nisha and the staff at Courtyard 2006 S. Edwin Moses Blvd. Dayton Ohio.

Yelp
I was in town for business and stayed here. This is a newer hotel and seem to handle the COVID protocols well. The property is well kept and located right in Dayton. One nice touch was a white sound machine in the room and it was helped with the outside noises from cars. I did learn that not all rooms have this. Some of the services are restricted right now, like room cleaning and the breakfast offerings. Also, the bar in the lobby is closed at the time of my visit. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is right next door in a garage and is part of the stay. If you need a hotel in Dayton, give this one a chance.

Yelp
When we stayed in this hotel, it just opened less than a week before. So we were excited to be among firsts guests of this Fairfield Inn. Unfortunately, we found quite a few issues. To begin with,  the parking situation was deceiving.  The hotel parking was only valet, the parking garage that was next door and had a sign saying "hotel parking " was not theirs. When we found out about it, they refused to rectify the situation to reimburse us for parking. The key card machine was broken so they had to walk us to our room every time we needed to get in. Their breakfast was completely over by 9:30 am even on the weekends. However, they ran out of a lot of food by 9 am. We had high hopes, but left pretty disappointed in this new hotel. I hope they will improve.

Yelp
Clean hotel on the river in Dayton. Parking garage out back. Friendly staff. Clean room. Tasty breakfast. Many nearby restaurant choices. Bike and walking path out back door. Near ball field and amphitheater. Less than 10 minutes to Air Force Museum. Loved it and thanks for the safe and comfy stay.

Yelp
This hotel is absolutely beautiful, modern decor with a comfortable feeling. The staff has been exceptional, Kay and Chris have been standouts in the hospitality department. I felt very comfortable here, as they have taken great precautions due to the covid situation keeping the hotel very clean. I will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Due to our arrangements bailing at the very last minute during a trip home, we booked a quick & easy reservation through the Marriott Rewards app to stay a night at this hotel. Let me start with the Pros! Pros: New hotel that's very modern, clean and visually appealing. Attention to detail and quality in their design choices is greatly appreciated. Best price compared to other options in the area and the location is PERFECT! Easy to find in an area that could be confusing and the hotel sits on a lot that's well lit and safe. The front desk staff was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. Did I mention free breakfast?! It was t anything fancy but it was free and they had all the basics (waffles, oatmeal, fruit, meats, etc.) Cons: hotel parking was weird and kinda separated from the hotel. It was really confusing. It's like theyare almost forcing you to do the $10 valet parking. Luckily we know the area and was able to find free parking on one of the side streets. The App claims this hotel has mobile keys but I never received it. I had to check-in like normal and when I asked the front desk clerk about the mobile key she laughed and replied '"we don't have that". Great rooms but the hot water in the shower barely gets hot.....more like a Luke warm. This was soooo annoying. It was freezing during a trip to Dayton and a hot shower would have been nice. Once all checked in and settled in my room, I received an alert if a charge in my debit card. VERY STRANGE because I never gave the front desk clerk mr debit card. However it is liked to my Marriott online account so I thought they accidentally charged the incidental deposit to both the credit card I handed her and my debit card. I was wasn't annoyed just thought it was an honest mistake. I called the front desk and she verified she DID NOT charge my debit card only the CC I gave her. Next I called Marriott Rewards for more answers and after being on hold for 25 minutes they confirmed that they DID NOT charge my debit card. At this point I start to panic. I tried calling a different number for Marriott and was greeted by a auto message saying there had been a security breach to reward accounts and visit their website for more details. Immediately I panicked hung up and called my bank. After explaining the situation they shut my card down, refunded the unauthorized funds and launched an investigation which is still in process. I understand the fraud issue probably wasn't this hotels fault and overall it's a decent option for the area. They have some work to do but I would stay again.

Yelp
Great location, beautiful design - but NO soundproofing - none. We could hear entire conversations - as in word for word - from the rooms on BOTH sides. It was awful after being on the road for six hours. The staff in the morning (older woman, short curtly hair) was complaining on the phone at the front desk about dealing with some guests. This should not have been done in a public place. As a business traveler not affiliated with the wedding group staying there, I did not appreciate this. When we checked out, she was abrupt, didn't ask about our stay, and had an overall rude attitude. Save your money and stay somewhere else unless you need a location in this specific area.

Yelp
Friendly, clean, comfortable! I am not generally a fan of the Fairfield inn brand but this was the most convenient for a Christmas party that we were attending and I was pleasantly surprised. We did not make it in time for breakfast, so can't comment on that part but all else was great!

Yelp
** WARNING** Stayed at this location and my room contained bed bugs, see pictures 4/8/2019. Went for 1 day on business and the front desk people and manager were useless. They comped my room but would pay for my urgent care visit. Looks like you should only come here if you want to get infested with bugs.

Yelp
Sam & Michelle at the desk....amazing!!! Went above and beyond to help me during my stay. So kind...neither if them hesitated a second to accomodate my needs. They deserve major kudos and a raise!!! Will be back because of these two! Thanks ladies!!!
