Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites O’Fallon, IL

Quiet and comfortable. Easy commute to STL for the baseball game. Small but hearty breakfast. Clean room and common areas. Free safe parking.

I stayed at this location since this past sunday 11/24 until today 11/26 in room 327 and my experience was not terrible but not all too good either. The customers service at the front desk was really quick, easy and the lady seemed very nice. When i lost my original hotel key, she quickly printed me off a new one and sent me on my way. The house keepers i walked past also were very sweet and nice. Everything worked fine as far as payment, elevators (only issue with elevator was the expiration date of inspection is 09/30/24 and it’s November…) , key cards to my room and a pretty cleaned room but my only real big issue was the shower head. It was terribly dirty and rusted. I stay not too far from this hotel and honestly, i didn’t even take a shower here during my stay because of how bad the shower head looked. My boyfriend and I were absolutely disgusted. I doubt they really do maintenance checks as far as those type of things but man was I disgusted. But otherwise everything else was a typical 3-star hotel experience, including the breakfast. I would recommend staying here but not if they are going to provide nasty shower heads.

This hotel was incredibly clean, the rooms are spacious, there are ample places to set bags, hang clothes, etc. I think this was the best, most comfortable, unquestionably clean hotel bed I've ever slept in. They only thing I would change would be to add a lock to the bathroom door.

I was having a terrible weekend when I visited! When I say the receptionist at the front desk name Heather went above and beyond, that is an understatement. she absolutely made me feel very welcomed and was very inviting. she was very attentive and made sure she did her best to accommodate any of my needs!! EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!! I have several options of hotels in the area to go to yet I will always pick this place simply because of their overall service. Even some of the cleaning crew i meet was hospitable!!

Consistent and clean! Not much else you can ask for. Location isn't bad, either.

Great overnight stay. Good location, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and nice hot breakfast before we departed. Sleep well, no noise and comfortable beds. Breakfast was still out at 950 and the lady that was just cleaning up was so sweet and let us grab a couple of things to go so we didn't have to make an extra stop for breakfast.

We came in super early (11 am) and they had a room available for us and were willing to let us check in. We were very appreciative as we had been on the road for several days and were tired!

My family & I travel nearly every weekend for travel ball or my work, being military. We have stayed at Marriot locations literally all across the country, from New York to California and never had any issues with a Marriot ever! Until we came here... The front desk clerk was a complete nut case and refused to check my wife & I in and book our reservation. She had started our Initial contact off with verbally stating that she "Had never seen a rate so low" reffering to the military discount i had on my reservation. Then she had told me my card on file was declined. We then proceeded to explain to her that it is because we prefer to pay for our incidentals on a separate card. Because not everyone likes having pointless holds on certain cards. At this point something in her mind went out the window and she then started refusing to let us not only try and split the charges but pay at all... After several attempts, asking to pay she asked us to just step aside so that she could help the line behind us of about 5 other guests. Mind you, we had already waited in line for a while and it was approximately 2230, so we were naturally exhausted and just wanted to pay what we owed and go to our room. I was frustrated at this point ,tired and being active military i simply said "Can I just pay for my GD room, please?" I stated that I didn't care at this point and that i have a card that can pay for the entire lobby if she would simply just let me pay whatever the cost is so that my wife, son, and i can just go to our room and go to sleep.. Granted I admit cursing is not the answer and I even apologized numerous times. She then proceeded to call the cops and waste tax payer dollars to have them come out and for her to tell them she was just so uncomfortable with our presence, when all I wanted to do was pay and complete a task that would have taken all of 60 seconds! She then needed assistance from her supervisor and an officer to try and at least cancel or reservation and charges before we left. Even one of the officers walked outside with us when we left and expressed to us, his frustration with her attitude & incompetence. After many years in the service there isn't much that hurts my feelings, but it did however, embarrass & upset my wife, when it was all something that could have been fixed so easily! Reached out to the manager of this place and she was just as inconsiderate and apparently "banned me from the property" and apparently has no real plans in place to train her staff and get them up to speed on how to properly engage in hospitality management.. As stated before, never had a problem with a Marriot until this place.. Not once ever raised my voice, or even directed anything in a harmful manner to anyone. But I guess this is the generation we live in these days. People get frustrated and perplexed when they are asked simple requests like checking into a hotel and they shut down and act like children and refuse to talk through situations as adults do. If it was up to me, that whole staff from management all the way down should most certainly be retrained on hospitality, customer service, and respect and if they can't conform, they should be terminated. I would love to rate the hotel and the other amenities as well, but it's apparent that active duty service members who use a (single) curse word in frustration of being disrespected are not allowed at this establishment. We went to the Drury right next door and the clerk, she was very sweet, checked us right in, gave us our room keys, and split our charges as requested, all in about 30 seconds. About $100 more because of Memorial Day weekend but well worth it just to get away from all that madness... lollll 🤷🏻‍♂️

Had an excellent stay at the O'Fallon Fairfield Inn. The customer service was a 10/10. Rooms were clean and new. And there was a bar! The cherry on top was the free parking. I didn't have a problem with loud neighbors or lackluster housekeeping. Everything was great. I'd definitely stay again if visiting the area. Hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, shopping centers, and if the free coffee isn't strong enough...there's a Starbucks nearby!

I last visited O'Fallon in late summer and stayed at the TownePlace Suites. For this trip, I went south of I-64 and stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Suites. This four-year-old property features a beautiful lobby, a great workout room, free breakfast and an indoor pool. The rooms are clean and spacious, and we loved the glass shower in our bath. Mattresses and pillows were so-so. Glad our room was on the opposite side from the Interstate. So no road noise. As another Yelp reviewer stated, the walls between the rooms are like paper. We didn't have anyone next door until our final night, and we could hear everything being said next door! Like many extended stay hotels, they service your room every other day. As we checked in on a Tuesday, we were told our room would be cleaned on Thursday (Thanksgiving). When we discovered our room wasn't cleaned, I learned from the front desk that the housekeepers would only clean rooms that were being vacated. Not a big thing, but I wish the staffer who checked us in had communicated that.

The hotel is nicely updated , friendly staff, room is adequate BUT... IF you're hoping to get some sleep, children are running up & down the halls yelling after 9pm & staff won't stop them or dare say a peep to the parents about it. How sad & frustrating to drive all day to hope we could get some early shut eye. 9pm isn't too early to think parents OR employees could do their jobs OR be responsible AND have some respect that they're not entitled to act like brats on everyone else's time.

Way to go, Fairfield-O'Fallon Crew!!! What a delightful stay we had this past weekend! Alyssa was supremely pleasant, and highly professional! She has exceptional customer service skills and is well suited for her job! The same is true for Treasure! Treasure is a true treasure! They've restored my faith in the hospitality industry! Thank you staff for your service! The hotel was extremely inviting & clean! We literally had not one complaint about anything! Whenever we travel home to East St. Louis, this will be our go-to location!!!

Stayed here for 5 weeks after a storm damaged our house. Very clean, very friendly employees. Bonus is a bar with good drinks and good prices.

This place does not clean it's rooms, nor will they fix the problem. I could go into all the details, but what appeared to be pink barf was next to the bed (see picture) when we checked in. Real safety conscious in the COVID era.

Amazing place to stay the night. Super clean the breakfast is good not too many options but thats okay. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I will be staying here every time I come to see my parents. Rooms were a great size just an all around great experience!

Walls are paper thin! Was up at 1am for over an hour as the people next to me wouldn't turn down there tv or be quiet. Place looked nice overall but you can hear everything through the thin walls. Not worth the trouble.

I'm a traveling healthcare worker and I was accused of smoking in my room. Not only was i falsely accused they charged my card and saw fit to tell my supervisor of their suspicions. I had to fight for my job and it's not until two days later they rescinded the charge because they had no proof ! I can't believe my Career was in jeopardy from irresponsible management. I will never return to this awful establishment in the future stay at the Drury !

I got off to a rough start with the night front desk clerk because of a problem in the room. In the morning, the front desk clerk Doniva (not sure of spelling) was wonderful and got in touch with hotel manager Noreen Sheraton. They gave me one night complimentary and moved me to a suite because the hotel was full. Noreen Sheraton went out of her way to help me and take care of the issue.

I have had family members stay here when visiting from out of town during the pandemic. Customer service has always been stellar. They have enjoyed the cleanliness of the new hotel. Wonderful restaurant options in the area.
