Fairlight Beach House

We spent three separate nights at Fairlight en route to and from the airport and trips, and it was the perfect place to stopover. The location is beautiful overlooking the ocean, and the rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet with sea views. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of choice in a light and airy room, and the service was brilliant. Colin and his staff were consistently welcoming and helpful, so that we felt completely at home each time we stayed. There are good restaurants within easy walking distance. Thank you

As a person who has traveled to all 7 continents and experienced many different hotels and BnB’s….the Fairlight gets a 6 or 7 Star rating from myself and my Lady. Besides the beautiful clean rooms and delicious breakfast, the beach and the Indian Ocean are across the street. There are also two superb lunch/dinner restaurants a 6 or 7 minute walk away.|Quite simply the Best Accommodations you can dream of at an excellent price point. |Spencer Rice

The location of the property is amazing and they serve good food with a variety of freshly baked goods, fruit and yogurt.||||The lady at reception and the young man who took our breakfast orders really gave great service throughout our stay. They were helpful and just great human beings!

Superb guesthouse on the seafront ! |A warm welcome that makes you feel right at home. Very quiet location, with secure parking and several restaurants in the same area.|We stayed in room Roxane (as well as the room next door for the children). The room is magnificent, bright and spacious, and the bedding is very comfortable. There's also a lovely terrace where you can enjoy the ocean view.

My friends and I stayed two nights at the Fairlight, booking 3 separate rooms for our party of 6 people. The Fairlight served as a wonderful base for birding around Durban. It was close to King Shaka (DUR) airport, as well as several good birding spots - Umdloti lagoon, Umhlanga lagoon, Mount Moreland IBA, and Sebaya Conservancy. The rooms were delightful, the breakfast delicious, and the balcony views of the Indian Ocean were absolutely spectacular! I highly recommend this lovely B&B.

A lovely, comfortable room with an amazing view. Breakfast was delicious and all staff were extremely helpful and kind. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Stayed 5 nights at Fairlight B&B. Roxanne room. Would highly recommend this accommodation. Great sea view. Enjoyable full breakfast. Rooms and the entire lodge nice and clean. Breathtaking views, luckily to have seen the glow in the ocean. Will be definitely booking again. Can't wait.
