Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi

I am writing to share our appreciation for the truly wonderful experience we had during our recent stay at your hotel. From the moment we arrived until the day we departed, every detail was handled with such care, professionalism, and warmth that it made our stay not just comfortable, but genuinely memorable. Ravii I would like to first and foremost commend you, for communicating with us throughout and you did an awesome job with our booking. I would also like to give special thanks for house keeping staff the thoughtful attention to our birthday request. Our room was always spotless, well-maintained, and incredibly comfortable. We deeply appreciated how attentive the team was in ensuring that our water supply was consistently stocked—such a simple detail, yet one that made a big difference in our daily comfort. and yes we will definitely book again

We stayed for one week on a half board basis and had two rooms – one for us and one for our son and his girlfriend. From the very first moment, we were impressed. The entrance to the hotel in the evening is absolutely stunning, with beautifully illuminated palm trees creating a fantastic atmosphere. We visited during Ramadan, and the back area of the hotel also looked amazing at night, with a breathtaking view of the illuminated mosque. The hotel is very clean, well maintained, and everything is organised to a high standard. The only small downside for tourists, which is understandable during Ramadan, was that at lunchtime the main option available was the Italian restaurant Marcos and the sushi bar. However, the dinners were exceptional – everything was beautifully presented, fresh, and very tasty. We really have nothing to complain about. Overall, it was a truly wonderful and memorable stay, and we would definitely love to come back.

The Fairmont Bab Al Bahr has a lot going for it — the pool area is genuinely impressive and the food was consistently good across a few different spots in the hotel. The room itself was fine, nothing special for the price point, but comfortable enough. What left a bad taste was a billing dispute that never got resolved. I called the front desk before making a phone call and was explicitly told local calls were free. Turns out they weren’t — AED 91.90 charge showed up on my folio. I raised it with the hotel, they acknowledged the call but essentially ignored my point about being misinformed by their own staff. Asked them to check their front desk call logs which would have confirmed my story. Heard nothing back. It’s not really about the money. It’s the fact that you can’t take what the staff tells you at face value, and when you push back with a legitimate complaint, they just go quiet. For a property positioning itself at this level, that’s not acceptable. If you’re just looking for a nice pool and decent meals in Abu Dhabi, you’ll have a fine time. But go in with your eyes open.

I would also like to recognize Sarah from the housekeeping team at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi for the exceptional service she provided during my stay. Sarah ensured that my room was consistently cleaned and organized to absolute perfection. Her attention to detail truly stood out. The towels were always replenished and neatly arranged, the pillows were perfectly fluffed, and the bed linens smelled fresh and clean each time the room was serviced. Beyond the basics, Sarah took great care in making sure the entire room felt welcoming and immaculate. The floors, bathroom tiles, and countertops were always spotless and shining, reflecting the high standard of cleanliness that Fairmont Bab Al Bahr clearly strives to maintain. What made the experience even more special was Sarah herself. Her delightful personality and positive, energetic attitude made every interaction pleasant and memorable. She clearly takes great pride in her work, and it shows in the care she puts into every detail. Thanks to professionals like Sarah, my stay at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr was truly comfortable and enjoyable. She is a wonderful representative of the hospitality and service excellence that makes this hotel stand out.

From start to finish, our experience at The Fairmont in Abu Dhabi Bab Al Bahr was exceptional. Our suite was beautiful with incredible house keeping staff to look after it made it a home from home. The reservations/front desk team were professional, pleasant, well trained and accurate. Their knowledge of local places to visit was comprehensive and made our visit all the more pleasant and memorable.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for three nights during a stopover in Abu Dhabi on our honeymoon, traveling from Paris to the Maldives. This first stop of our trip was particularly important, as it set the tone for our celebration. We arrived early around 7 a.m., and while our room wasn’t ready yet, the team’s exceptional hospitality quickly made up for it. Hajar deserves a special mention — she noticed our initial frustration and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and celebrate our honeymoon. Kudos also to her colleagues, Sally and Shania, whose attentive service made a real difference. Breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh options and a team that checked in regularly, creating a warm and caring atmosphere. We had an amazing experience at the Asian (sushi) restaurant. The chef’s presence in the center of the dining area made the meal interactive and fun, and the unlimited sushi options were excellent. The Lebanese restaurant was another highlight, enjoying shisha with traditional tea and a breathtaking view of the mosque felt like discovering a hidden gem. A special thanks to Michal, a Les Clefs d’Or member, whose professionalism, friendly smile and excellent recommendations for city dining elevated our experience even further. We loved our beautiful room and the stunning view. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel with excellent service. The rooms are cleaned and serviced brilliantly everyday. A special thanks to Yougal and Raz for being so kind and attentive while taking care of our room. Marcos Italian restaurant is a beautiful treat. The service was superb from start to finish. Special shoutout to May who took care of us all evening and made sure to make our experience extra special! Marcos steakhouse and grill is also exceptional. Very high quality dishes. Akhil served us on the night and he couldn’t have been better. The Volt Fitness Gym next door is incredible. Massive selection of brand new equipment.

Stay at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr for three nights and I would thoroughly recommend. Many Restaurants, not had time to try them all, but the ones we have eaten at are all first class from the quality of the food to the service. Room is very large and kept spotless by Juvy Khaing. The beach and pool areas always kept clean and all staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Service is first class. Will definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely come back.
