Amazing round of golf. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by staff who provide excellent support. Staff is extremely professional, polite, and accomodating. Warm hand towels are provided at the turn and at the end of the round for a very nice touch as well. My father was able to ride along in addition to our foursome and carts were as luxurious as the course itself. We played the Stanley Thompson 18 in late June and the conditions were perfect. Tee boxes and greens well kept and practice area, which included range and short game area, were also maintained well. A bucket list course indeed! Well worth the price of admission and would definitely do it all over again.

Staff were pleasant and helpful. Golf course was great shape from tee to green. Greens were in great shape and good speed. Scenery was great. Layout was really good, not great but maybe my expectations were too high. Awful expensive but happy to have played it once.

This golf course had the best views of any golf course I have played and it wasn’t particularly close. It’s been a bucket list golf course for me to check off for over a decade. The staff was very accommodating. Didn’t want to worry about the hassle of bringing my clubs for just one round, so I rented some. Brand new TaylorMade set from the drivers down to the wedges. I was pleasantly surprised. Course conditions were phenomenal. Greens rolled true. I see people complaining about pricing and ask them if they have played any top US courses? This course is worth the money compared to something like harbour town which which charged me $425 a few months ago(now $600+) and I would play this course 10 out of 10 times over a premier course like that.

Absolutely stunning views! Such a great experience all around. Staff very helpful and friendly. Able to use driving range with excellent putting and chipping greens. Rental clubs were new Taylormade Qi35 set with bag. Also rented golf shoes, very easy dealing with staff to get set up. Played the Tunnel 9, walked to take in the whole experience.

This course was everything I hoped it’d be, every photo I posted on socials had people commenting how jealous they were of the gorgeous views and conditions. I recommend snagging a tee time as early as possible, the weather in the mornings is very calm making for optimal game play. Later in the day it may get windy or have random drizzles. I teed off at 8:10am. Godspeed at the Devil’s Cauldron Par 3 (Hole 4) and highly recommend snapping a video of your tee off on Spray’s Par 4 (Hole 15). Spend the 19th hole at Waldhaus (next to Hole 15 tee boxes)! TaylorMade rental clubs were awesome and $85 CAD for one round is much better than having to pay a check bag fee to bring your own much less lag them around. I shot a PB of 88. The negative reviews about cost are subjective, I can pay $100-$115 USD in Austin, TX for a semi private/municipal course that isn’t as stunning as this course is so I definitely think it’s worth it. Golf carts are very comfy, service is great, and pro shop has a nice selection of takeaways to document a wonderful time. I had the lucky pleasure of getting to play a round with the Club President, Ray and his son Robson - phenomenal golfers and great company. Can’t wait to go back!

Awesome place, quite unforgettable location and surroundings. Service is the best of any course that I've ever played, by far. The staff's attention to detail is very impressive from the moment you show up in the parking lot. The course itself is stunning with panoramic mountain vistas in all directions and an abundance of wildlife. We ranked 4 courses we played in the area (Banff, Stewart Creek, Silvertip, Canmore). Here's how Banff stacked up, averaged over 4 people: Service: 10, absolutely tops Character: 8.75 Fun: 9.625 Shot options: 8.75 Course condition: 8.875 Layout variety: 7.25 (lacks verticality of Silvertip) Natural beauty: 10 Pace of play: 10 Intangibles: 10, saw BASE jumper land on course, ton of wildlife, practice areas, pro shop, etc Value: 7.75 still very expensive Total: 91 Got reference the other scores were Stewart Creek: 78, Silvertip: 96, Canmore 78.

Everyone working at the course was kind and helpful. The course itself is open so hard to loose a lot of balls out there. The scenery is out of a movie. Highly recommend this place. I rented clubs and they were actually really good.

Yelp
Stunningly beautiful course! We took the evening golf court tour and it was awesome. Conner was our guide, and he was very knowledgeable of the course, the hotel, and the history of the area. The course runs along the Bow River and offers stunning views of the river and the surrounding mountains. Definitely worth checking it out whether or not you are a golfer!!

Yelp
Played today, maybe my 10th time in 35 years. So spectacular. Scenic, inspiring, challenging. But not impossibly difficult like some of modern courses in the area. When you get out there and realize that this course was built 110 years ago, without drones or satellite photos or any technology, you start to appreciate the genius. In this Covid world, they are taking very reasonable precautions and installing no-touch systems that keep us safe, but don't detract at all from the experience. Thanks to the whole team. They have some good deals on right now. So if you haven't played there for a while, or have never experienced it, now is your time! It is not a busy summer up there.

Yelp
This is quite a golf course. I have had the opportunity to play some some of the top 100 courses across the United States and the Banff Springs course ranks right up there. From the first tee until the 18th hole, just about every tee shot is framed by the Canadian Rockies. While Hole #4 is deemed the "signature" hole, you could say that 10 or 12 other holes would qualify just the same. In fact, I found myself bringing my cell phone camera to the tee box on just about every hole -- it was that beautiful. The golf conditions were great. The fairways were in great shape and the greens were nice as well. We saw the cart girl a few times and they had a good selection of snacks, beers, and hard liquor too. As a bonus, when we were on the 15th hole, we saw two large elk in the fairway. The elk eventually made their way onto the green and tried to eat the flag on top of the pin. It was crazy. The first review on this course (from Mr. B in 2013) is absolutely correct -- this course is probably one of the best in the world. If you make it to Banff, you should make every effort to play 18 holes here.

Yelp
I've been to Augusta, played Pebble, felt the high winds in Hawaii, seen my golf ball disappear into the swamp in Florida and even watched rattlesnakes and cactus eat away at my game in Arizona but nothing compares to the majesty of this course surrounded by glacial cold rivers and mountains. It's in the top 20 for me internationally because of the location and the grandeur that comes with the well manicured fairways and greens. Pricey? YES but well worth it and surely a must if you're into the game. Use the "try before you buy" program if in the market for new clubs, a great way to not have to carry your own...

Yelp
Stopped in to have a beer. Place was almost empty. Plenty of waitstaff, all on their phones. After 10 minutes without service we got up and left. I think it's a Fairmont thing...good service is hard to find. Same experience at Jasper Fairmont.
