"Sitting beside the turquoise waters of Lake Louise amid the snow-covered peaks of the Canadian Rockies, this historic hotel has long drawn travelers for its natural spring and majestic, storybook views that truly are more breathtaking in person than any Instagram photo. The addition of Basin Glacial Waters has further cemented it as a leader in the wellness scene, but the property weaves mindfulness and wellness through far more than just its spa, offering guided hikes, sound bath meditations, personalized facials and massages, and even guided cold plunges in Lake Louise itself. During my stay, the most memorable wellness moment outside the spa was stepping into the icy lake on a guided cold plunge: after practicing breathing and mindfulness techniques and hearing about the benefits for circulation and mood, the initial shock and pain disappeared the instant I looked up at the surrounding mountains and realized I was standing in the middle of the most beautiful view I had ever seen, completely mesmerized by its beauty.
