Fairmont Nile City Hotel

The front desk staff was wonderful. They upgraded our room. Check in and check out was seamless. The breakfast spread was very good. My only complaint would be the total chaos at breakfast due to too many people, not enough tables or staff. The staff were doing the best they could. But they could not keep up. We had to wait for our table to be cleaned, wait for utensils, wait for coffee etc. food quality was excellent.

I had a wonderful experience at the Fairmont Nile City Hotel. The hotel is truly luxurious, with an elegant atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. I attended the Sohour evening there, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was amazing ,very tasty, well-prepared, and beautifully organized with a great variety of options. What really made the evening special was the service. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and professional, making sure that every guest felt welcomed and well taken care of. Overall, it was a lovely evening in a beautiful setting, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality Sohour experience in Cairo.

I can truly understand why this hotel holds a Forbes Four-Star rating. The hospitality was excellent from start to finish. A special thank you to Ms. Reem and Mr. Eslam for their patience and professionalism during check-in. They made the arrival process smooth and very welcoming. The dinner at the Gold Lounge was enjoyable, and the staff were attentive, accurate, and genuinely helpful. The level of service really stood out compared to many other properties in Egypt. The spa experience was also wonderful — relaxing, professional, and a perfect way to unwind. Overall, a very pleasant stay. I’m already looking forward to returning soon. Lim

We had the most incredible stay at Fairmont Nile City, and they truly made my husband’s birthday trip unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special.||We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite with a full Nile River view, and wow it was absolutely amazing. The suite was so luxurious, and the view was beautiful. I had emailed the front desk a few weeks before to let them know we were celebrating my husbands birthday and they surprised us with a beautiful cake and decorative set up.||The service was honestly next level. Every single member of staff was kind and helpful, but Ahmed deserves a special mention — he was exceptional in making sure everything was perfect throughout our stay and was very attentive. Karim and the manager (apologies I didn’t catch his name) at the front desk was also fantastic and really added to the experience. Housekeeping were fantastic! The touch of fresh flowers changed every day in your room was so sweet. ||The food was outstanding, especially the in-room dining. Not only was the food gorgeous, but the service of setting up a proper table in the room was such a lovely touch and made it feel extra special.||The location is also great — around 40 minutes from the airport and 40 mins from the pyramids, so it’s perfect for sightseeing. We were also surprised by how much the hotel has: restaurants, a casino, cinema, shopping mall, even a Starbucks — everything is right there.||I’d 100% recommend this hotel for a special occasion or just a luxury stay in Cairo. We’ll definitely be back!

I've been a regular visitor to Cairo for more than a decade, so I can say with confidence that Fairmont is one of the Top hotels in the city, well-equipped with excellent F&B service and options. While the newer hotels of similar calibre are now available in the City (like Ritz, St Regis, Waldorf Astoria, etc.), all of which I have tried, I could say with confidence that Fairmont's room condition & service are still very competitive with those hotels in Cairo. Personally, I am particularly satisfied with a very personalized and attentive service during breakfast. Also, great thanks for the excellent dining quality & service at Gingko (lovely outdoor area) & Onyx lounge. Fairmont spa and its facilities are still one of the best hotels in the city. However, it starts showing some wear and tear, and reception or spa attendant service is not as considerate and careful as I expected, so it's a bit hard to say it's competitive compared to other competitors of similar calibre.

Everything was perfect during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in Cairo. Restaurant selection is diverse and all high quality! Rooms are very comfortable, and clean. The service was incredible! Staff are very friendly and attentive.

We really enjoyed our two stays at this hotel. On arriving we were impressed by the sense of luxury and calmness. The staff greeted us, made us feel welcome and took charge of our luggage. The check-in process was efficient and friendly. One our first stay (three nights) we had a large room on a high floor overlooking the river. It was clean and well equipped; for the second overnight stay between flights, our room was on a lower floor - a little smaller but just as comfortable. The breakfast buffet is generous with lots of choice. We ate dinner in the Champagne Bar as we found it more informal and relaxing than the restaurants. But we did go to Bab El Nil for dinner one evening and thoroughly enjoyed it.

This hotel is exellent for both work and relaxation. I chose this hotel primarily for the rooftop pool that is heated during winter, the gym and the spa, and it exceeded my expectations. But i must say that the wi-fi is the best i have experienced in Egypt so far, so if you need to work, this hotel is perfect. Everything was exceptionally well maintained. The pool was spotless, the gym was huge with every possible machine and weight, and the spa area offered a sauna, steam room and beautiful relaxation spaces. All of this is included when you book a room. For an additional charge, you can book the whirlpool and massages. The surroundings are beautiful, with plenty of areas to rest, enjoy snacks and have something to drink. I could not even tell whether the pool water was chlorinated, which is usually a sign of perfect balance. No red eyes afterwards, even though I swam laps for quite some time. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very stylish. You immediately sense that you are in a five star hotel. All snacks, juices and soft drinks in the minibar are included, and there was plenty. In the evening they prepare your bed for the night, refresh the bathroom and place slippers for you. You can even choose between six different types of pillows. It is such a lovely detail. I especially liked the oval office area in the room, which made it easy to get a few practical things done comfortably. For the first time in Egypt, I had absolutely no problems with the WiFi, which made the stay even more relaxed. I forgot my brand new Mac charger in the room, and when I called the next day, they had already found it and kept it safe for me. From housekeeping to management, everyone contributes to making your stay completely smooth and effortless. Having visited several five star hotels in Cairo, I have noticed that they all have security scanners for guests and luggage, similar to those at airports. As a foreign visitor, it can feel slightly overwhelming at first, but here the process was smooth and professional, and I was guided directly to check in. The atmosphere inside the hotel felt more serene and calming than at some of the other hotels I visited. The hotel has several restaurants. I only had time to try one of them, but the lasagne at the Italian restaurant was excellent. It was beautifully presented in a round mold that was removed before serving. The price was surprisingly reasonable for a luxury hotel. Even if you are staying elsewhere, I would recommend coming here for lunch or dinner. If I were to rate this hotel, I would give it five plus stars. Everyone I spoke to was fluent in English, calm and attentive. They took the time to understand and help without being intrusive. You expect good service at a high end hotel, but it is rare to experience it delivered so consistently well. It was simply a truly wonderful stay, and I would gladly return on my next visit to Egypt.
