The 12 Best Hotels in Morocco (2025) | Condé Nast Traveler

"Connecting with nature in Morocco’s beauty spot, you can be as active or as laid-back as you like while enjoying the Atlas Mountains as a breathtaking backdrop just 20 minutes outside the bustling heart of Marrakech, where the landscape shifts to olive groves, tall leafy palms, and fragrant argan and lemon trees. A grand arch and iconic Fairmont swinging doors introduce towering ceilings, marble accents, plush furnishings, and chic glamor—every corner an Instagram-worthy shot with bold, vibrant prints reflecting Morocco’s rich heritage. The main bar, Le Bar, dressed in a sleek black-and-gold scheme, feels like a scene from a James Bond film, with jaw-dropping Moroccan chandeliers adding to the extravagant spirit and five-star polish. Beyond, 570 acres of lush green landscape reveal an 18-hole golf course and a pampering spa, making this an ultimate base for wellness seekers, romantic couples, families, and culture vultures keen to experience the crème de la crème of Marrakech’s idyllic rural scene." - Lauren Burvill

20 Gorgeous Hotels in Marrakech

"Around a 30-minute drive from the medina, this sprawling desert oasis offers an elevated take on barefoot luxury, with modern, palatial architecture, a vast outdoor swimming pool, a hammam-inspired spa, and even a golf course (the largest in Marrakech). Rooms here come with expansive bathrooms and dressing areas, as well as private balconies or gardens for the ground-floor suites, each facing the Atlas Mountains. The heart of the hotel is its outdoor water area, a series of glass-clear tiered ponds that cascade down to meet the 492-foot swimming pool, shaded by palm trees and peppered with sleek sun loungers and smart, Breton-clad waiters (a nod to Marrakech’s French-speaking side). Casting an eye towards the mountains, you’ll notice the difference between the sandy desert and the hotel’s bright green lawns; the resort cleverly found a type of grass that needs less water to thrive, one of the hotel’s many ingenious blends of sustainability and beauty. There are enough restaurants here to keep you sated all week, from the relaxed poolside lunch spot L’Olivier for fresh tabbouleh salads and sunshine-filled carpaccios, to chic La Sabra, part of the hotel’s country club. The jewel in the hotel’s crown is Italian restaurant Le Caravane, a sophisticated setting with low lighting and dark, carved wood paneling, serving the best Italian food outside of Italy—expect simple plates cooked to perfection (the lamb rack is really something special). The real hidden gem is Al Ain, a secluded, ornate dining room covered in jewel-tone zellij tiles with fabulously authentic Marrakech cuisine. Children get the star treatment with its kids' club, with one huge playroom (that includes an actual tree house), and to-scale fluffy sheep, as well as one very-petted llama. There are areas for arts and crafts, a reading corner, a connecting room for cooking classes, as well as a trampoline, heated pool, and slides outside. If that’s not enough, book a trip to the on-site farm which also has a tortoise zone. —Charlotte Davey"

Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech (Marrakech, Morocco) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Marrakech is famous for its pocket-sized riad houses, hidden away in the bustle of the city-center medina — but more or less the opposite approach is taken by the Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech. With its 134 villas, suites, and rooms, it’s twenty times the size of a riad, and spread as it is over an estate that spans nearly a square mile, it offers the kind of tranquility that nothing in the old city can match." - Tablet Hotels

Thank you for the wonderful birthday experience I received! The hotel is beautiful, very well decorated. The room was beautiful as well, with a very confortable bed. There was plenty of activities to do there and the fitness center was great also. The guest experience was perfect! The staff was very listening which made my birthday special. We felt like we were in a palace. I will definitely come back to the Fairmont of Marrakech!

I had an amazing stay at the Royal Marrakech Fairmont, everything was perfect from start to finish. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious every single morning, and the service was fast and attentive. The golf course was absolutely stunning and a true pleasure to play. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. Overall, it was the best vacation I’ve had in a long time, and I would return in a heartbeat.

It made it a trip of a lifetime. We ate in all the restaurants and the food was excellent. Thanks for the delicious cake for my aunt and the impromptu happy birthday singing! Facilities were great and we enjoyed padel and the gym. All the staff were really friendly and helpful - shout outs to Ghita who made it all happen and also to Abdelatif, Souad and Ayoub.

We had the best October Half term trip to Marrakech!!||The Fairmont is always a safe brand to stay with but the Royal Palm really did exceed expectations. ||We had Dulux garden suit which accommodated a family of 4 easily with the biggest bath tub my daughter had ever seen. Khadija Mazaine and soukaina and Brahim made out stay fantastically comfortable. Asking us constantly if we needed anything else for the room. always clean and tidy!! ||Zakaria - provided us with fantastic service by the pool!! Looked after us all week especially our daughters!!! Lunch, cocktails, churros and 17.00 ice cream!!||All the staff were great and the concierge kindly organised us a last minute guide for a trip into Marrakech. ||Really was a great trip and we will definitely be back!!

Incredible Hotel! Located directly at the Golf course. Very family friendly! |We booked two rooms for two adults and a teenager to have more privacy. We arrived at 2:30 am and everything was prepared since we already booked that arrival night. Some drinks and snacks were prepared at the room for a late snack, highly appreciated! The hotel put a further bed in one of the rooms, so we honestly would have been fine with just one of the really spacious rooms. Beds are heavenly soft. Special thanks to Khadija & Mohamed who surprised us with a tidy and clean room right after breakfast. |So exited how this adventure continues…

Family stay, 17–24 October (room 106). I’m writing this so others don’t book on the strength of the website and assume it reflects what you’ll actually get. Even after I raised this in writing during the stay, the site still said “five exquisite restaurants and two stylish bars,” yet on our dates dinner meant two restaurants plus the bar. No clear pre-arrival notice; no transparent on-site explanation. At this price point, that gap matters.||Service swung from kind to chaotic: breakfast delays and misses; housekeeping not using obvious evening windows despite our having a young child; small room niggles that needed chasing.||Concierge is the real caution. We had written confirmations for two marquee experiences: buggy and camel “timed for sunset” (no camel element delivered), and a city tour “ending just in time to experience the sunset from a rooftop café” (we were back just after 4 pm, hours before sunset). After the fact, the story shifted to a “4-hour private experience” and that we “preferred to return”. In my view, treat concierge emails as marketing copy, not commitments: get specifics re-confirmed on the day or plan independently.||Think twice about using hotel transport. In a hotel vehicle we were aggressively tailgated and then overtaken at speed on the driveway. There was no contemporaneous incident log, no investigation we were told about, and no proactive follow-up until the tour operator became involved. That doesn’t inspire confidence in defensive-driving standards or safety procedures.||When issues were raised, the tone too often felt like gas-lighting: minimising, reframing, or implying guest choice rather than owning misses. Access to leadership was poor; the General Manager was effectively unavailable all week, and communication came via proxies. Some push-back was later conceded as incorrect, but only after repeated chasing.||It’s a beautiful property with some lovely staff, but the gap between advertising and delivery was persistent. My advice: before you book, ask in writing which dinner venues will actually be open on your dates; if you do use concierge, get timing and outcomes reconfirmed in writing on the day; if you use hotel transport, insist on clear safety protocols and incident logging.||Happy to update this review if the hotel corrects its website to reflect real availability and/or provides a reasonable response to the procedural concerns raised here, especially around safety.

It was our second stay at the Fairmont Royal Palm, because 2 years ago we had such a magical time we came again. It did not disappoint. The friendliest staff we have ever encountered in all our many trips around the world. Beautiful setting, calm and relaxed atmosphere, great food and drinks, best in class service…everything you think of when you think 5 star luxury - but with the addition of the wonderful people. Ahmed, The Breakfast King, Flan and Adil the Poolside Bar Staff and all the golf buggy drivers made our experience particularly magical - their interactions with our 2 young children was something we will never forget.
