Fairmont Royal Pavilion

Overall we had a very nice stay at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion. We stayed in a beachfront suite, which had its own little deck and lounger area looking over the water. We really enjoyed easily being able to pop back into our room for things and having designated loungers. Michael was great and friendly helping set up our loungers each morning and making sure we had towels. He also would walk by and make sure we didn't need anything else throughout the day.||The room itself could use a little updating. The couch and carpet had some staining and a tile in the shower was broken, but the rooms were very clean and housekeeping made sure we had anything we needed throughout the week from extra pillows to tea. Where the hotel really shines is its employees. From Ashlee in the restaurant with her welcoming smile morning or night, to Nicole and Crystal taking care of us on the beach, to our butler Renico who was so nice and always happy to help, everyone was great to interact with. Renico always checked in with us, made sure our afternoon tea was delivered daily, provided recommendations of places to see on the island, as well as giving us a map. He is a real asset to the hotel. ||The hotel is conveniently located. You can walk to Lone Star for a great meal, or a short taxi ride to Holetown and many other restaurants. ||Overall I would recommend this hotel, but with a few updates it would really be top notch.

I've wanted to check this place out for a while, and it did not disappoint: - Excellent service; the team from front desk to the restaurant to the pool to housekeeping to in-room dining were attentive, professional, cheerful and kind. In particular, when I experienced a flight cancellation with no hope of rebooking, the team immediately held a room for me and were incredibly accommodating, mitigating my distress and ensuring I could enjoy an unexpected extra day in paradise. - The hotel is small but charming and has beautiful landscaping. My rooms there were in good condition, considering the harsh wear and tear of being so close to the water. The balcony was spacious and comfortable, practically an additional room where I loved to have room service dinner as every room has a million dollar sunset view. Some rooms were under renovation while I was there, so there was some construction noise in the morning and one of the restaurants was closed, but I understand it's necessary for older properties and I am glad Fairmont is maintaining these historic buildings. - The star of the property is the fantastic beach, where every seat is front-row and the water is as gentle and clear as a swimming pool. I enjoyed checking out free snorkels and saw lots of tropical fish on the jetty directly in front of the hotel. - This hotel is ideal for people looking for a quiet getaway. They never play music too loud, and even the public spaces have an air of seclusion and privacy. You are never too close to other guests.

Some things excellent, a few things not.||The location is outstanding, the beach is flat, the waves slight and ideal for swimming. The beach can be reached with a short walk from any room. The hotel is small, it has a village or club feel and a nice ambiance. The greeting on arrival was pleasant, professional, quick, and despite an early arrival (1:30pm - arrival time is 4pm) our room was ready immediately. The concierge service is excellent and cars are always available (at a price).||The only negatives were the restaurant and breakfast. There was a wait for seating every morning at breakfast, despite tables being free. Tables could have been cleared, and all guests seated immediately, the number of guests arriving was not high. The greeter was often absent, and very focused on sitting some guests at the tables next to the sea. One can only speculate why.||Similar story at night in the Taboreais restaurant in the evening. Seating was a problem, some visitors seem to have a fast track. Better managed at lunchtime. On one occasion in the afternoon the food was very slow, on another prompt. Seating was better managed. The good news is that there are a large number of great restaurants near by, often walking distance, and the concierge will book them for you. All had superior food to the hotel.||Check out time is mean at 11am. The BA flight to London needs a 2:30pm hotel departure. We were refused a 2pm extension but given 12;30. Meaning a ‘package holiday’ end to our vacation with cases packed, sitting in the heat.||I would stay here again, the location is world class, service very good, except for my frustration with breakfast, and seating at restaurants. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. Accor can certainly run good hotels, so maybe they will fix the seating problems. ||By the way. Dont book directly. Good deals are probably available through your travel agent.

This was probably the best customer service I have ever received in all the hotels I’ve stayed in around the world. The staff really seem to enjoy their jobs, from the cleaners and the gardeners to the hotel manager.||The food quality was also truly 5-star. Sometimes a 5-star hotel can have 4- or even 3-star food, but that wasn't the case here. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was majestic, with breathtaking views of the ocean. After we finished eating, we would sometimes sit there for up to an hour because it was so relaxing.||We originally stayed on the middle floor, which had an amazing view, but we moved to the ground floor and found it much easier to access the beach directly from the back of the room. The beach is exactly what you see in posters of the Caribbean: light blue water and almost white sand. The beach and water are very well-maintained, with soft sand and no sharp coral. There were no pushy salespeople trying to sell you things; they politely just walk past. With a very decent clientele and a great atmosphere around the hotel, I was impressed and would definitely go back!

I’ll be honest and frank with this. Chose this hotel because our cruise line (Seabourn) recommended it.|$1500 plus a night for our two night stay. |Firstly the room: King bed oceanfront.|Nice room, comfortable and clean, certainly not outstanding in any way, view is lovely.|Kettle don’t work in room and no room service menu. I asked a total of FIVE times for one to be provided. Still did not get one.||Pool restaurant:||Went there at 5.30pm, barely greeted by hostess, told to sit at a table that had no chairs..|Ordered food. Two appetizers and two cokes came to $188!!!!!!’|Food ordered. Nachos and crab cakes.||Breakfast Buffett:|Nice location and view . That’s the good part.|Went to station to order eggs .|Omelette took twenty mins to appear, husband two ro eggs took over thirty.|Tea was lukewarm.|Ketchup took a while to appear|Breakfast was included and I’m glad it was. $160 was the charge if we didn’t have it included.||Room service: just ordered two burgers and fries with two cokes. $168 for two burgers. |Food was inedible. I’ve had better food from a gas station.||All in all this hotel is below average in the service and food areas. Way too high prices for food that honestly isn’t up to McDonald’s standards if I’m being totally truthful.|Staff are polite and pool guys are attentive BUT service is lacking in many areas and I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone. |Overpriced and underdeliver comes to mind

Unfortunately i had way higher expectations for this propriety. The price you paid makes you expect a little more in two fronts: service and dining. The location is very good with beautiful beach and a nice feel. There are only two restaurants on site and they are really bellow a 5 star standard. There is nearly no service at the beach, so we had to keep trying to get attention of the bar staff, so if you expect to lay down and just enjoy maybe think twice. Overall the rooms were good, with amazing views.

Where should I begin ? I did extensive (hours and hours!!) research on all the 5 star hotels on the West Coast prior to booking and so glad we chose the Fairmont, we had the most amazing 7 nights (definitely not long enough!). As a family we had 2 rooms, both rooms were spotlessly clean, soft fluffy towels, comfiest beds and linen. Every member of staff provided exceptional service and all with a friendly smile and nothing is too much trouble. The view from our rooms, the beach every single thing we could not fault, we will definitely be back. Thank you Fairmont Royal Pavilion for the unforgettable memories. (I think you can tell we had the best time.)

Great location, the beach. Absolutely stunning. Rooms: due for an upgrade sooner rather than later. The hotel charges four season prices and the rooms are 4 star at best. One bottle of mineral water for your entire stay, not even wine glasses in the room. Everything (including the staff) feels tired. The restrooms in the main restaurant / probably 25 years old. Food average at best. Recognition as an Accor platinum member: 0. I never felt less welcome at an Accor property when checking in. Would not recommend. The 3 stars are generous and entirely due to the location and the walking distance to nice eateries.
