"With over 2,000 acres of land and 50 miles of paved trails, Fairmount Park is Philadelphia’s largest, and most popular, municipal park. Visitors experience the park’s natural beauty, which is made up of woods, meadows, and the Schuylkill River waterfront. When the weather cooperates, parkgoers flock to Fairmount to hike, cycle, ride horses, canoe, and fish. Fairmount is always busy, but the park is so vast that it never feels cramped. The park’s also full of man-made attractions, like a wildlife refuge and education center, public art, the Shofuso Japanese House, the Philadelphia Zoo, and the Smith Memorial Playground, which is perfect if you have kids who need to burn off energy." - MATADOR_NETWORK

I went to the Roots Picnic June 1 & 2. I had a wonderful time. I give it a 5 because the 1st day you literally had to walk on top of people to manage your way through to the food truck and Beverage area. Also the other stages you had to navigate through the people again if you want to see an artist. They really should have somebody to design a format for people to place their blankets and have a seating arrangement.

So many good things to say about the green expanse that is Fairmount Park. Most recently, I've enjoyed the waterside areas on both East and West River Drives, for paddling activities. It's so good to see so many folks enjoying the beauty and respite that Fairmont Park offers throughout the city. Saw a number of picnics and other small celebrations yesterday on my way home - loving how Philly enjoys the outdoors.

Beautiful park, good pathway for bike, electric scooters and just walk or jogging. Use sunscreen 😅 and bring water.

I highly recommend seeing a show here! I saw Sum41 here and I enjoyed every moment of it. The staff were amazing everything was outside. It was rainy but the trees help to keep you dry plus the whole main floor was fake grass so nobody got hurt from sliding in the mud. There are porter Jon's and regular bathrooms which idk about the men's side but there was one staff directing traffic to help the flow of females coming and going. The food is on the pricier side but well worth the money. I had an asma attach the last two songs and the speed of the staff to come by my side to aid me. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name who helped me he was a god sent. He saved my life!! I will be going back to this venue in the future.

I have only seen a small part of it but I am impressed. Free parking, picnic tables, nice trails and a basketball court

Wonderful park. Wonderful for a family picnic, walking jogging and to relax and get some fresh air. The spring season of the year is the most beautiful here. If you want to see the cherry blossoms, well now is the time, there are plenty of beautiful cherry trees. The museum and Japanese garden is amazing too. The park is busy during spring season, so it is hard to maintain 6 feet distance with this Covid situations so be careful.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve visited at my time in Philadelphia. ♥️ I can’t explain enough how amazing watching sunset was in this park. Pictures don’t do it justice. Not only was the weather just perfect today, but the trees and scenery of whole place is just relaxing and filled with positive energy. This is a great park to walk, run, bike, or just sit and read a book under a tree. 🌳 I can’t wait for fall to fully arrive so I can revisit this place. 🍁🍂
